T’charrl slowly sat down on his chair, giving a little nod as he was addressed by his mother. He hated to worry her, but he wanted to get out there and fight for his people as well and live up to his family’s name. T’charrl didn’t know what else he could say, there was a lot that could easily end up coming out negative and make his mother mad again. If he was able to actually show he could be strong then maybe he would be able to get away with a lot of that and show how able he was, he didn’t want to be regarded as the kid who always got in trouble. Keeping his crutch to his side, he let out a sigh but soon quickly perked up upon hearing what they were talking about, confusion settling in pretty quickly over what Shu and his brother actually were and why they would choose here for any other planet for their friend’s families to settle on.

Shu let Takeshi do the talking on this one, but didn’t realise he had let his mouth slip when he mentioned their father. He didn’t think they’d know about the situation considering how isolated they were, the exception being knowing what Saiyans were. Looking between the two, he slowly backed off when things didn’t appear to be going their way, only for Takeshi to turn it around and try his best to convince the Queen instead. When things gradually began to settle, he let out a sigh, smiling nervously as the Queen spoke about the future. Tilting his head slightly, he tried to understand what she was getting at, but even the thought of such a plan like that working out was completely foreign to him. He didn’t know how to encourage such a decision, but when things turned towards T’charrl he slowly moved back the way back to his brother, looking to him as if wondering whether what she was saying was actually a good idea.

T’charrl had been trying to keep out of the conversation until she spoke about their ruling, a fairly concerned expression appearing on his face. He didn’t know what she was saying, he couldn’t understand why she was talking about such a thing to these two until she turned to him. His mood completely sank over what she was saying, his mind struggling to comprehend it, “W-What are you saying…?” he mumbled as if his whole life was suddenly passing by his eyes. He felt rather saddened and shocked, his hand on his chair as he tried to stand up, “Mother…why would you think on doing this? I’ve trained and studied all my life to take over the throne! If you want the world united…then why not under our tribe? Why not under our family…? Am I that much of a disappointment to you that you don’t trust me to take over…? I don’t know how to do anything else!”

Eslaria figured there would be some discontent over her ideas, but for her son to be so put off by it sort of surprised her. It really shouldn't she supposed, he raised perfectly good points. Looking at him hard as he rose from his chair she turned to face him, not speaking above him as he got his feelings out. When he was done her expression softened slightly, walking over to him and placing a hand on his head, smiling gently. "I am not disappointed in you T'charrl, not in the least. If anything I'm proud of you, you're the epitome of what a mother could want in a son." she explained, having one of her rare soft-spoken moments. "Listen to me..." the Queen continued, squatting slightly to come eye to eye with T'charrl. "When this is done I don't want to rule anymore. I'm tired of it, and I'm tired of fighting. So long as only one tribe rules there's always going to be conflict. If we join together though then there won't be any need to fight each other. But someone with the know how is going to need to lead everyone else while we work together. Do you know why I pressed you so hard all the time? To study and to train?" Eslaria smiled gently as she rubbed her son's head, giving a light laugh as well. "I want that person to be you."

Takeshi was really confused now. A moment ago this lady wanted to bite his head off and looked ready to do the same with Shu. Now though she was acting... Well, motherly towards her son. He didn't completely know the details surrounding their family, but obviously T'charrl hadn't seen this kind of curveball coming, not seeming pleased by it at all. The Queen was quick to talk to him about it though, and to his objective eyes it seemed like it was a reasonable idea. "You'll be one of the first people to lead a new era," Takeshi chimed in, amazed when he didn't get a glare from the Queen. "Think about it. You and others are going to make your people so much stronger, I mean how cool is that? You're all the same after all, so why fight one another?" They were only hurting themselves by doing this, it was weakening them as a whole and wasting time that could be spent bettering themselves. In a way, Takeshi mused, the Saiyans weren't much different.

"So it's not so bad, now is it, my little Prince?" Eslaria asked, not having called him that since he was a good deal younger. Moving away from him she smiled before turning to the two boys again, placing her hands on her hips. "We've got our deal then, so it's best you be on your way. I do hope that we see you again before you leave though. I'm sure T'charrl would appreciate having some friends here for when he has his rise to power too."

T’charrl didn’t know what to make of it, his whole life felt like it had been worth nothing and that struggle to gain his mother’s and his people’s approval was completely wasted. He wouldn’t know what to do with his life if that was the case, he was a perfectly capable fighter but now he was going to be left out of all that he had trained to be. Leaning on his crutch in a rejected manner, he let out a sigh as his mother rose up, half expecting her to give him a good slap; instead, it turned into something completely different. Looking up at her as she spoke with sad eyes, his antennae twitching a little as he slowly lowered his head. He still could barely understand it all, he felt a little better that his mother didn’t think of him as a disappointment, but where his life was leading was not obvious to him at all. Upon the rubbing of his head, his eyes looked up at her with a little moment of hope that she’s explain everything, only he became confused even more, “What…? But…you said I wouldn’t take your throne…”

T’charrl had a fair confusing time understanding what was going on and what he was supposed to do, but what was even harder right now was understanding what his mother was telling him. He didn’t know how other tribes would accept him if such a proposal went through, he didn’t know what his mother world do if she passed he post onto him as opposed to passing it onto his father instead. Feeling all sorts of confusion he looked up at Takeshi when he spoke, “I…am…?” he asked up, not sure how he would make them stronger just by being all together, “I mean…I guess we’re all the same…” If he could understand what was all meant by that then things would be a lot better, but he had time to try and figure it out so for now he’d have to be patient. Letting out a sigh, he looked up at his mother when she spoke again, giving a little smile when she mentioned a long forgotten nickname, “Mother…”

Shu looked between them all, not entirely sure what was happening or what was so bad about the Prince’s situation. He didn’t know what it was like to be in the real world, so real world discussions were completely lost to him. Takeshi helping out convincing the Prince was pretty wise, it would probably help in the long run if he sided with the Queen more when compared to earlier when he was on the receiving end. Everything seemed to be going quite nicely, now he was definitely convinced that a mother was like her. Smiling a little when she called T’charrl a ‘little Prince’, he swayed on the spot before giving a quick nod, “Sometimes I wish I had a mother”, he smiled, looking to T’charrl soon after, “I hope we get to visit again when you’re better! I wouldn’t want to leave a friend behind, maybe you could even show us your special power you mentioned sometime”.

T’charrl didn’t particularly want his friends to leave, he didn’t know when they’d ever be back on the planet and wanted to spend as much time as he could with the only friends he had. It was too hard to make friends when he was a Prince, so when he had them he was rendered weakened and desperate for their presence. Slowly moving to sit down again with wobbly legs, he was caught off-guard when Shu suddenly mentioned something he told them when searching for answers to why he was kept alive for so long; however, the only problem was it was something he had generally been hiding. He hadn’t told his mother of any such power and hoped she would ignore it, his eyes going to her before away again.

"You don't have a mother...?" Eslaria asked, giving Shu a curious look. How odd, a king without a Queen. Obviously the boys did have a mother, but they did not know her. Strange that they were siblings, they didn't look alike. Then again they were pretty much alien to her, so how was she to tell. "You boys will find her I'm certain. If you didn't take after your father you must have taken after her, and since you two are not tyrants I can only guess who you've become more like." To someone who was a strong woman it seemed awfully strange these boys had turned out as they had without a mother's guidance. Who raised them, she wondered? Perhaps speaking out of turn Shu brought up a topic that rather interested the Queen, if only because she was absolutely unaware of it. "Special... Power...?" Eslaria mirrored, frowning in confusion before looking to the Prince. "T'charrl, what is he talking about? Look at me and answer me young man."

Takeshi found his cheeks a little red as he was off in his own thoughts for a moment. Did the Queen really think they were like their mother? Or mothers, as the case may be, but still it was rather nice. For a good while after learning of their father he'd worried that he was more like the king than anything, but maybe now that wasn't the case. He had no clue who his mother might be, but the notion that he was more her child than his father's was a sincerely welcome change. Now more than ever he wanted to meet her, but also now more than ever that goal seemed further off than ever before. Takeshi zoned back in on the conversation at hand when he heard the Queen's tone change to one of more demand, looking at Shu warningly then the Prince as he was questioned. "Er... Shu probably had a slip of the tongue. He's still learning words, so he probably didn't mean that."

"Be quiet or I'll smack you again," Eslaria warned, watching Takeshi seem to shrink and mumble out a meek apology. Sighing she crossed her arms once more, now tapping her foot impatiently while scrutinizing the boy in the chair before her. "I am not old enough for my hearing to be going, I know what I heard. If you're hiding something from me then as your mother I demand you tell me what it is young man. Now."

T’charrl was a little more than worried about Shu’s inability to realise when something shouldn’t need discussing, especially around his mother. Looking to her with a fearful expression before Takeshi tried to intervene with a little bit of hope sparking up, only to suddenly be shot down by Eslaria as her attention went straight back to him. He didn’t know what to say other than try to deny there was anything he was trying to hide and simply declare the boy didn’t know what he was saying. He didn’t think he could do that to a friend, especially one of the only friends he had. Lowering his gaze immediately, he tried to look away from her but felt the burning sensation that could only come from her hard stare, “M-Mother…I-umm…please don’t hit me”, he muttered, slowly standing up again as he slowly placed his crutch to the side of the chair.

Wobbling around a little, he stared at his mother with a rather nervous expression, not entirely sure how he was supposed to get out of showing her anything without some sort of disgrace coming out of it. Frowning, he raised his hands a little, hesitating before glowing blue orbs appeared floating in his hands, all four of them, “I-I can…use the energy of the planet by drawing it to my own…” he spoke quietly, his eyes diverting away, “And those imaginary friends I had when I was little…w-well, they weren’t…entirely imaginary…just dead”. After a second the orbs disappeared and T’charrl fell back into his chair but T’charrl kept his eyes off everyone, frowning a little, “…They said it was special and that I shouldn’t show it, but I think a spy must had saw me using it out by the great tree to speak to it and practice using its power because my next outing into battle had me being captured instead of killed…”

"I won't hit you if you show me, now hurry up young man." There had never been any discussion of a hidden power, not as far as she knew. If it was dangerous then she may have to forbid its use, not wanting her people put in jeopardy. Watching T'charrl closely it seemed as if nothing happened for a moment until four blue orbs fomed in his hands. Eyes widening slightly in surprisse the Queen simply watched them in silence as her son spoke, rather curious about this ability of his. "So those were... Dead souls...?" Eslaria asked, rather puzzled by this revelation. It was also a little unnerving, the thought of talking to the dead. Taboo even, now she could understand why it had been hidden from her. She had to wonder why the military would want an ability like that, as what use could come from it? "So you've always been able to talk to... Dead people then? And they've been your friends, not those imaginary ones you made up? Garesh...? Did you know about this?"

"No, this is the first I've seen it too." the General replied, frowning as he came over to join the rest of the group. Looking at his son carefully he knelt on one knee before him, placing his hands on T'charrl's shoulders. "Something like that is very unique, but also very frightening. You shouldn't show it off to people, they might come to be afraid of you. You've got to keep that a secret, okay?" Even Eslaria was a bit put off by that, and normally she had a strong stomach for anything. The idea of speaking with the since passed was definitely unusual, and no doubt there would be claims of witchcraft if the masses found out.

Takeshi was on quite a different page than T'charrl's parents. It was unique, his ability but it could also very well be the answer that they needed. He was going out on a limb here, but this boy might help everything come together quite nicely, if he agreed to help. "T'charrl... That's amazing, really," the Saiyan beamed, hoping to cheer the kid up. "And Your Majesty...? He might be able to help us out, if it's okay. We'd need to know exactly how his ability works though to see. We can stay in the palace to try it even, I just want to know if he can contact people not on this planet with that."

"You want to bring dead people from another world to Kaesstra?" Eslaria asked incredulously. It was a tall order, but then again everything these boys were asking of her was. She must be out of her mind to allow such a thing to take place, she was going to allow it though. "Very well... T'charrl? Explain something to me though. You can talk to trees? Or just the tree in the center of the city? Clarify that for me. And what does it say? And how do you take energy from the planet? None of this makes any sense... Why didn't you ever tell me?" The Queen sounded a fair bit flustered and agitated, more over none of this making sense to her than anything. If T'charrl had been able to do this all along could others of their kind as well? Where did his abilities end?

T’charrl felt pretty bad right now, he knew how awful it was to know such a thing and did thought telling his parents would completely turn them away from him. He could only give a little nod to his mother in response, not entirely sure what he was supposed to do about her and his father knowing about that. Letting out a sigh, he looked up at his mother a little, “I never got to make real friends, so they made friends with me”, he spoke in a mutter, still feeling a little sad about it. He was going to be in so much trouble if anyone else ever found out, he knew it was a scary thing to be able to do and something that was completely dead in their society. Looking to his father quickly, he froze on his chair, giving a tiny nod at what he had to tell him. He didn’t want to be treated any different than being the Prince that often got in trouble, but what was worse was the possibility of his parents treating him differently because he could do something that was considered vile and scary, “I-I won’t, I swear”, he said quickly, giving his head a shake, “I don’t want to disappoint anybody, I didn’t even want either of you finding out”.

When Takeshi spoke up, the air was vastly different as he was instead trying to encourage his odd ability. Looking to Takeshi curiously, he looked to try and understand his intentions before looking to his mother, wondering a fair deal to what Takeshi was on about. To him, it sounded a bit like he was saying it was amazing because he wanted to use it himself, but he didn’t know to what extent exactly. Feeling a little nervous by that, he rubbed his chest, his mother addressing him instead. Giving a little nod, he let out a sigh to try and relieve the pressure in his chest, “Don’t I get a say in what I want to do…?” he asked out, frowning a little, “But…well, just the big tree so far, I think only trees with a lot of energy. It tells me stories and sometimes brags, but it’s nothing that someone else wouldn’t say”. Hearing his mother becoming almost annoyed over this, he felt compelled to sink away and almost try to mould with the chair itself, “Uhhh…l-like draw it to me and use it for myself! But it’s dangerous…uhhh, I-I didn’t tell you because I knew you’d hate it! I can’t explain it, I don’t train with it or experiment with it…j-just things I’ve accidentally done!”

Eslaria really didn't have a clue what to make of this whole situation. The fact that someone could communicate with trees seemed absurd, and the fact they could tell stories even more so. What was it then that her son had, telepathy? None of what was happening made sense to her, and through her confusion came an annoyance. Beside herself the Queen wasn't sure what to do right now, only able to close her eyes and rub at her head. "This is absurd... Talking to trees..." she mumbled, giving a shake of her head. Opening her eyes again she held her son for a moment, putting a hand on his cheek as she smiled slightly. "I never said I hated it... It's just... Different. I never knew that you could do this." It explained a fair bit though, why he spent so much time in the gardens. Why he was always picked on by other children for being strange, it's because in a way he was. But T'charrl was unique, she saw that, and as his mother she couldn't quite hate him for it. Still, it was difficult to come to terms with such an alien ability.

"You have to understand dear that what you can do, it's not normal," the Queen urged gently, rubbing her son's shoulder. "That doesn't mean it's bad. We can't go around showing everyone it though, not yet anyways. There has to be a reason you can do this though, and we'll find out why that is. If the planet and the dead can communicate through you then your gifts are from the gods, and I've no right to take it from you. Just please understand why we need to keep it a secret right now." With this admission also came the unnerving revelation that their enemies were well aware of his ability. Had they found a use for it, she wondered, and if so what did they intend to do with it? "It's your power... So I suppose it is only fair that you decide how to use it," Eslaria continued, "But bear in mind I am still your mother, and Queen, so if I don't agree and say otherwise I expect you to listen to me young man, understand?"

T’charrl wasn’t feeling at all proud of himself for even having to talk about it, he was fair angry at himself for even having such an ability. He couldn’t understand it himself, he could just do it and sometimes learn new things by accident. It was completely accidental that he was born this way, it wasn’t something he could help. Trying to keep his eyes off his mother, he noticed her come close and give him a show of affection, placing her hand on his cheek as his eyes went up to hers as he gave her a sad frown. Being seen as different was something he wasn’t too keen on, he was quite happy with how his mother treated him before without turning him into someone who should be feared, “I didn’t want you to know, I didn’t want anyone to know! I only told my friends because they’re my friends and wouldn’t judge…”

T’charrl was fair understanding it all; he wasn’t normal and shouldn’t be seen as normal, but that was very much the reason why he didn’t want her to know. Things were going to be different if they keep this up, but there also wasn’t anything he could do to stop them from thinking that. Slowly moving his hand to the back of his head, he let out a sigh and looked away from her again, “Mother, you’re supportive, but please stop giving me orders not to use it”, he spoke lowly, giving a little nod, “I’m smart enough not to show it to everyone, I’m your son, remember…? You taught me a lot about power and control, just not that type of power and control, but it’s the same concept…right? My biggest worry is will I be able to keep controlling it and for how long will it be so tame; you know, typical worries...especially when I don’t know if there’s someone else who can do this. I won’t disobey you, I’m just scared I’ll be left alone with this all except for some ghosts for company!”

Shu didn’t quite know what to make of it all, everything was so confusing and powers like that shouldn’t be shunned, at least. Looking to Takeshi to see if he could give anymore support over the matter, he slowly moved towards him, looking up at him, “It sounds sort of like Ki, do you think he can use energy from other planets?” he asked curiously, not quite sure what to make of the situation, “That would be handy if he ever travelled with it, but umm…do you think he’ll really be able to get in touch with Mister Goku…? Does he even know what Mister Goku looks like…?”

"And you think I'm judging you darling...?" Eslaria asked, frowning. "I'm not thinking any less of you or judging you, I'm just surprised by this turn of events, that's all." Was T'charrl really so concerned that she would become judgmental of him over this? She wanted to reject his concerns further but he had more to say, and not wanting to make him feel any worse she let him speak. Letting out a soft sigh as he finished the Queen shook her head, smiling sadly at her son. "You will not be left alone. Not by me, or your father, or your friends," Eslaria reassured, shooting the boys an accusatory glance before turning her attention back. "And even if no one else has this power we'll find a way to help you control it. Even if we have to go all over the planet to find someone who can help you. Don't worry so much."

Takeshi watched the interaction between mother and son a touch enviously. Was this what his own mother would be like, or Shu's for that matter? Aside from the hitting part he hoped so, it would be nice to have someone like that. "It kind of does, in a way..." he replied, looking down at Shu as he spoke. "I don't know about other energies though, since we can't really use others either." It would be an interesting concept though, if they could. Wouldn't it be strange to find something common between these bug people and Saiyans? When asked about Goku the older boy had to think for a moment. He knew T'charrl had no idea what the guy looked like, and explaining it was a little difficult.
"I've got an idea...! Sir?" Takeshi asked as he looked at the General. "Do you have something to write with and a sheet of paper?" Waiting patiently as Garesh went over to the throne and started to dig through a box behind it, returning shortly with a pad and something that kind of looked like a pen. Nodding gratefully the Saiyan took both of them, smiling hopefully at T'charrl. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but do you suppose we could have your son help us...? That is if he's up to it." Staring at the paper for a moment he started to make a sketch of Goku, taking a good few seconds to do it. When he finished he showed it to T'charrl, Shu perfectly able to see it as well. The hair was close, but the rest looked like it had been drawn by a three year old. "This is him, it's what he looks like anyways. And his energy would feel like ours, think you could find him?"

T’charrl didn’t know how to take his mother’s words, he was fair confused and couldn’t take in whether he should see her words as supportive or just hiding her true feelings. He didn’t know how he was supposed to deal with his parents knowing, they were probably going to check in some more or possibly stop him from wandering completely just incase he showed off his powers somehow. Nodding a little as she spoke, he scratched his claws slowly through his fur as he tried to work out whether he should be worried about the future or hold onto his mother for support right up until he was supposed to take over. Now that was the thing; he’d probably lose that as well when he is sure enough destined to be in the public eye of everyone around the world. He wanted to ask his mother about that, but after all that was said and shown he’d probably be better kicking her in the shin than asking something like that.

Shu could remember what Goku looked like if it was only for the fact that he thought about him a lot when he was locked up and how he might handle such a situation, but with just a few details missing. If he was to describe Goku he would probably screw it up, he didn’t know how he would get it across and definitely needed Takeshi’s help. Looking to him for some sort of hint to what they could do, he smiled a little before Takeshi managed to come up with something. Tilting his head curiously at what Takeshi was asking, he slowly moved closer to him when he received something from the General and proceeded to make markings on it. Smiling a little, he watched in fascination before looking to T’charrl, trying to see if this ritual meant anything.

T’charrl had to do a second take when Takeshi approached him, looking to him curiously before down at the piece of paper. He didn’t really understand at first, but having a second take helped a little to try and understand what his plight was. Reaching out to the sketch curiously, he held the side of it gently before withdrawing his hand, looking away, “Umm, maybe…another Saiyan…?” he questioned, giving a little nod, “I could, but…I-I hope you don’t mind, but I don’t have enough of my own energy to do such things. I’m weak, I need to recover a little more before I can do that…it’s often hard to do such a thing if I don’t know them or if they’re not still on this plain; I-I’m sorry…”

Takeshi was hopeful that T'charrl was just what they needed to save his squad's parents. Without Dende around this time he wasn't too sure how to get in touch with King Kai himself, meaning talking to Goku was nigh impossible. Seeing as he had already sworn to help his team out he refused to go back on his word, but he certainly wouldn't mind a little help. When the Prince didn't sound too confident about the chances of it working it was hard to hide his disappointment. "Hey, no sweat, if you've got to recover then I totally get that," Takeshi remarked, giving a thumbs up with a sad smile. "I don't mean to press you T'charrl, take as long as you need to in order to get better." In reality they didn't have the luxury of time, but with this kid being their only possible way of pulling this off they might have no other choice.

"Just see to your end of the bargain and let him rest. He'll help when he's damn ready to." Smiling sympathetically at her son Eslaria, rubbed his cheek again before standing up, sighing as she held her son in her gaze. This ability of his seemed awfully silly to get worked up over, certainly to be kidnapped over too. Still, the implication that he could speak to the dead wasn't likely something to be taken lightly by their people if it was found out. Then again as part of their faith they did revere their ancestors, so who knows, he could be praised for it too. Right now though the Queen refused to take that chance with her son, not wanting him possibly branded as an oddity for his powers. "Speaking of your recovery, what you said had me wondering..." Eslaria mumbled, cupping her chin in thought. "You can take power from the planet, yes? Would that energy help your body recover more quickly? If so then I would feel quite a bit less worried about you getting hurt, and just maybe I'll let you fight more often."

Having a lightbulb go off in his head Takeshi grinned widely, abruptly shoving his sketch into Shu's hands as he walked over to the Prince and Queen. "Hang on a second, Shu and I might be able to help him recover!" he exclaimed, getting a confused look from Eslaria. "What you can do T'charrl, it sounds a lot like Ki. That's the energy we use in our bodies, and it's found in our planet too. If it's the same kind of thing we might be able to share some power, and that should help liven you up a bit." Clenching his hands into fists he nodded enthusiastically, certain this would work. "If you'll let us try, Your Majesty, we might be able to get him back on his feet quickly. He could be back in action as soon as tomorrow even!"

"This Ki... You're certain it can help him? I don't know how keen I am about you shoving some energy into my son..." There was no reason to think these two would cause T'charrl any intentional harm, even if the older one was a bit clueless. Their energies could be complete opposites though rather than similar, and introducing one to the other might cause some serious damage. Eslaria knew ultimately though that if her son decided to try it he would, with or without her consent. Smiling exasperatedly at that she looked to the Prince for an answer. "It's your decision, do you want to try this?"

Seeing the disappointment on Takeshi’s face only made T’charrl feel a little guilty, not exactly knowing why such a thing would cause such a reaction. He didn’t want to be used just like that when he wasn’t prepared for it and was told to hide his powers, but he also didn’t want to disappoint a friend. He felt so confused, he didn’t know what he was supposed to be doing just now and probably felt better going to his room and hiding away from everyone for a while until things were better. Looking up to his mother with a little bit of concern in his expression, he let out a sigh and gave a little nod, hoping she wasn’t being too strict to scare off his friends. Lowering his head a little again, he let out a sigh only to twitch a little when his mother spoke up again, his eyes going up to her in confusion before he shook his head, “What? N-No, I don’t even know how to do such a thing!” he spoke quickly only to lower his head with a little gasp, “I-I mean, umm…fight more often…? M-Maybe, I mean…I might be able to…but I don’t see how it would help my wounds”.

Shu didn’t know what they should do, they had a chance to possibly help someone but it meant using someone else without giving them benefits other than feeling weak after they had done it. Sure, it would be good if he could do such a thing, but if it was going to be a problem then he’d let them go and recover before asking again. Looking between them curiously, he let out a squeak when Takeshi shoved the paper into his hands and walked on up to the Prince and the Queen. At least now Shu could see what he was showing them, but when he did manage to look he didn’t know how he was supposed to feel about it. It looked like Goku, but it also didn’t and instead looked like a strange alien creature with Goku’s hair. Slowly moving the paper around, he walked on up to Takeshi, looking for a break in the conversation before talking, “Why is Mister Goku looking like a happy blob creature? Did he change himself into something else…?”

T’charrl felt a little confused when Takeshi came on over to him, looking a little surprised. Listening to him curiously, he slowly moved forward in his seat, staring at him before looking to his mother. Ki sounded like a rather strange concept in itself, he didn’t know whether it would help or do nothing at all, maybe even hurt him if it wasn’t compatible with his body. Looking to his mother for some answers, all he got was a question that had to make him decide instead. He didn’t know whether it was a good idea to do such a thing, but if his friend thought it might help then there was no harm in trying, “I-I guess…uhh, what is Ki, exactly…? What kind of energy?”

"Ki is like... Well..." Takeshi mumbled, rubbing at his chin toughtfully. "It's like that energy that you can feel inside of you," he continued, smiling as he patted his own chest. "Every living thing in the universe has it, or something like it. Plants, animals, even the planets have some. I almost wonder if what you have is Ki too, just a different form of it. But if we've both got that energy then we can share ours. It'll help your body by giving it more energy, and that should help you heal faster." It wasn't an instant remedy, but even if it only accelerated the process by half a day that was still good. It was selfish, he knew, but the sooner that T'charrl was well again the sooner his squad's families could be saved. The issue on Kaesstra was bound to be resolved, now it was a matter of seeing to that issue as well. "We can try a tiny bit at first, and if it doesn't work then we won't do anymore. If it'll help you though don't you think it's at least worth a try?"

Takeshi was interrupted at the end by Shu coming over, a bit reluctant to be taken from the conversation at hand. Glancing at his brother curiously his face reddened as his drawing was questioned, stomping his foot indignantly and snatching the paper before pointing at it. "What do you mean a blob creature? That's totally him!" he said in a defensive tone, tapping the sheet with a finger before looking at it crossly. "I mean... It's not exactly him, but come on, it's close enough!" He had thought it was pretty good, though clearly that wasn't a universal opinion. Hearing a sudden laugh he jumped a bit, startled to see the Queen holding her sides and shaking with laughter.

"You call that a drawing? Your brother was right, it does look like a blob!" Eslaria roared, still laughing at Takeshi's expense. She hadn't seen it before, but now that she had Shu's description fit it perfectly. As she calmed down she looked at the older boy who was sat in one of the chairs now, mumbling something about his picture by the looks of it. It had been funny, she thought so, and as did Garesh as he was heard settling down from some laughter as well. Smiling amused she looked to her son, offering him a hand to get him to his feet. "They can take care of our problem first, then we'll see to theirs, fair is fair. We should let them get to work, don't you think?" she asked gently, not wanting to come across as trying to tear her son from his friends. They had a job to do and that was that, they could always come back later. "Shu? Once you see this through can you come back here? I'd like to see you off before you and your friends leave, as I'm sure T'charrl would as well."

T’charrl was beginning to come to an understanding over the concept of Ki, it just sounded like spirit. It was pretty odd, the fact that it could be passed onto someone else to give them energy was a foreign concept but possibly risky because they were two different species. Hopefully it wasn’t too different, he could easily try to adapt if any problems came up. He would like to learn more about Ki, he wanted to know its concepts and how it is used. Hopefully things were going to be okay if he accepted. Looking between his mother and Takeshi, trying to come to his decision before he gave a little nod, “I-I think it’s worth trying. If anything goes wrong, just stop, okay…?” he spoke, but sure enough the words of his friend had his mother laughing, feeling fairly confused to what was going on. The drawing wasn’t a big deal to him, he could only make out the hair but it still was fairly straight forward. Feeling fairly confused, he shuffled on his seat and just smiled, trying to feel a part of the conversation.

Shu smiled at Takeshi as he stumbled for words, trying to come up with an answer for his terrible drawing skills. Shu would like to learn how to do something like that, it seemed pretty fascinating and a good method of communication; however, he had no idea how it was even done. It needed a stick, he knew that much. Staring at Takeshi, he squeaked when the Queen suddenly began to laugh too, his attention turning to her as he tilted his head. He didn’t think it was that funny, but it was still funny to see her reaction and not get hit for it. Giving a little nod, he looked to Takeshi before making a bounce towards the Queen instead, happy upon hearing her request, “Yeah! I’d like that! I’d like that a lot! I’d like to come back other times too, I like this planet…lots of fruit, trees and friends…”

"Good, glad you agree. If we see you again then I'll tell the guards not to bother with their ridiculous interrogations, there's no need to persecute a friend of Kaesstra." If anything it was just a perfectly good reason for these boys not to return. With T'charrl being so happy over having some friends of his own that was the last thing the Queen wanted, she'd make sure they wanted to come back. Shu seemed more enthusiastic than his brother on visiting again, which wasn't an issue. Eslaria was fairly certain that her son preferred the younger one anyways, so that was fine. "H'eras! Get back in here!" the Queen shouted towards the door, making Takeshi jump in the process. The assistant from before re-entered the room uneasily, scurrying over to her ruler and bowing down politely. "Listen to me well girl, go and report to the guards, tell them that these two boys and their friends are free to come and go in the city as they please. And be quick about it!"

"Y-Yes Your Majesty!" H'eras stuttered, bowing again awkwardly and nearly toppling forward. Cringing at an impatient sight from the Queen she collected herself, pausing as she looked over at the Prince, a nervous smile coming to her lips. "I-I'm glad you're doing well, Prince T'charrl..." Giving a meek yelp as Eslaria cleared her throat loudly the girl hurried out through the door again, intent on getting away from the Queen's wrath.

So much for the soft-spoken Queen, it looked like the crazy woman was back. Their business was effectively finished here, and they had sort of been dismissed. Glancing down at his picture once more he smiled slightly, giving Eslaria and her family a polite bow as he'd seen the others do. "We'll be back soon, don't worry. And when we come back everything wil be better, we promise!" A little eager to be out of there himself the Saiyan snatched up his brother's hand, waving before turning and hurrying out the slowly closing door, running along into the city while near dragging his brother behind him in the process. It wasn't until the palace was hidden behind some buildings that he slowed down, letting go of Shu and stopping to catch his breath. Turning around he pulled the drawing from his pocket, giving an indignant huff before pushing it forward for his sibling to see. "That so does not look like a blob!" Takeshi complained, pulling it back and looking at it, his body slouching slightly, "Or... Maybe it does."

Left in a rather abrupt manner Eslaria was once more just with her family. Blinking in confusion at their sudden departure the Queen sighed, shaking her head in disbelief and casting her son a sidelong glance. "T'charrl... You made some strange friends," she mused, smiling before reaching down and rubbing his head. "But good ones. I have a feeling those two are going to be back soon, so don't get too worried." Now that they were gone she too should get back to business, the city wasn't going to run itself after all. "As for you young man..." Eslaria continued, smiling as she crossed her arms, "You have a training session with your father, scheduled in... Five minutes."

"And it's not going to be an easy one," Garesh added, smiling as he put a hand on T'charrl's shoulder. "A true warrior fights in the face of adversity, and injury. A little soreness and malnutrition isn't anything to one of the new rulers of Kaesstra, now is it? Let's see if my little soldier can finally best the general or not."

T’charrl was feeling fairly happy right now, but still not entirely confident over the thought of using something like Ki on him unless he knew what it was and whether it was safe. He would like to learn more about Ki, he wondered whether he could use it himself in any way along with his own particularly strange abilities. Thinking about it quite a lot as he leaned on his crutch, he gasped when his mother suddenly shouted with his eyes going to the door, watching as H’eras finally popped in. Giving her a friendly smile, he waved a little when she delivered her concerns only for that tiny moment suddenly being broken up by his mother once more. Letting out a sigh when she went again, he rubbed his neck slowly as he looked away, giving a little smile, “Mother…she was just concerned…”

Shu would be quite happy to visit again, but even with the Ki idea it would be mean to force him into using his powers just because they should be granted a favour of some sort. Looking to Takeshi before to the Queen, he smiled and nodded happily upon hearing that they could come along anytime if they so wished, “Thank you! Yeah! You’re so nice, I can’t wait…” Feeling the sudden tug from Takeshi taking hold of his hand, he was suddenly pulled out and away from them all as he was sure enough leaving now. He needed to get dinner, it was a need that everybody back at the house definitely had to have before anything else. Looking to the drawing as Takeshi shoved it away, he smiled at him seeing his concern and sudden depression over his drawing, “Can you teach me how to do that? How do you do those blobs?”

Letting out a sigh when they were all gone, T’charrl once again was left feeling a little alone even though he was with his parents. Having a friend over was the same as having a little holiday in his life and from his duties, but there was always still going to be that time where they’d have to leave and go about their own lives. Looking to his mother he shrugged lightly, looking away a little before she placed a hand on his head, giving him the reassurance he needed, “Thanks…I hope they will”. With everything back to normal apart from his weaknesses, he straightened himself up a little before frowning at what his mother had to say, “What…? Seriously?” he questioned her before his attention turned to his father’s hand, moving up to his face with a frown. He didn’t know why they would give him a training session, it was only fun when he was healthy, “Geez…I guess so, but still…you don’t send soldiers to war if they’re hungry, right? Okay, I’ll train…but don’t hit me if I faint, please…? I’ll probably not even be able to get back up”.

Takeshi kept dragging his brother along until they had gotten out of view of the castle, releasing Shu's hand once they did. Having a hard time letting it go he pulled the drawing back out, half-heartedly defending it before groaning when he recognized himself it was pretty poor. "You want me to teach you how to draw...?" Takeshi asked, his tone one of disbelief. Unable to hide a smile he rubbed the back of his head, chuckling before turning around and shrugging a little. "I could, I guess. I mean it'd take a while for you to learn, but if you want to then sure." When the word blob was used again the Saiyan cringed, looking back at Shu with a strained smile. "And it's not a blob... Just call it Goku, okay? It's Goku." Huffing softly he crammed the paper and his hands into his pockets, starting to walk towards the gates out of town. "Come on, I'm getting hungry! We'd better hurry on back so we can get dinner!"

"Concerned or not, she has duties to see to and can't be bothered to gawk at you." Eslaria stated bluntly. From the corner of her eye the Queen saw T'charrl slump once his friends were gone, feeling upset for her son's mood. Offering a reassurance in the form of a small pat she got the idea to have him do something to take his mind off of things. Training was always a good preoccupation, and getting to be active seemed to be what he wanted anyways. Upon suggesting it perhaps that wasn't the best route as T'charrl didn't seem overly confident in the idea.

"Soldiers fight whether they're sore, hungry, cold or tired," Garesh replied, smiling at his son. "I'm not going to beat you around, and if you get too tried to continue just say so. Since you want to be a warrior so badly though then it's high time you're treated like one." Chuckling to himself the General leaned over and without cause snatched T'charrl up, drooping him over his shoulder. "We'll be back for supper dear, just heading out for a bit." After a brief show of affection that probably had the Prince squirming both he and his father were making their way out of the palace. In Garesh's hand was his son's crutch, not soon to forget the boy needed it, and beside that his sword. "Depending on how well you feel we could fight hand to hand, or use wooden swords. Why don't you decide young man?"

Shu nodded pretty enthusiastically, “I wanna learn!” He hadn’t seen such technique before in communication and knew it was going to be something he’d find fun considering how it was done and seeing that its communication worth was definitely something he could take advantage in. If he could draw what he meant instead of trying to describe them, he’d have a big advantage when it came to finding others. It would give him a hobby, at least, “I really want to, I really do”, he nodded, tilting his head when he told him what he should be calling it, “Ooohhh…okay, I want to be able to do that Goku…” Looking to Takeshi, he hurried on after him quite happily, giving him a smile, “I am hungry…yeah! We gonna find lots of goodies again?? We’ll need much more with your friends there too…unless they were getting food…I dunno what’s going on over there…”

T’charrl wasn’t too confident about this training session, he thought he’d get a break to recover and be able to find the rest he probably needed. He would be a lot better tomorrow, he knew he just needed a little more food and rest without overdoing it but now he was going to end up pushing it. He kind of had a thought that maybe this was because he had told them about his powers, but hopefully that wasn’t the case considering that would mean trying to prove them wrong about him abusing them too. Looking to his mother to try and find some form of sympathy for what he was going to have to go through, instead his father picked him up and flung him over his shoulder. His wings flapping away in desperation at first, he let out a groan and settled down when he realised there was no escape, watching as his mother soon moved further away as he was taken away from her. He didn’t know what to make of this but he had no way to resist being taken away, just watching everything disappear before his father spoke up, “Geez…uhhh, maybe the swords? It’s hard to decide when I know you’ll beat me if we sparred today, I really want to practice with swords, though…out of the two…”

Takeshi had meant to call his drawing Goku, not a blob. Hearing Shu get it mixed up the older boy smacked his own forehead, shaking his head. "No no... The thing I did is called drawing, I wanted you to... Oh never mind." Drawing was going to have to wait until at least after dinner, and that was provided they had anything to do it with. He supposed worst case scenario they could get some sticks and draw in the dirt outside. Ascending the stairs right out of the city Takeshi glanced back once more when his brother brought up food. Point made, he hadn't even considered how they might feed everyone that was there now. "We should probably go hunting then, yeah? And I doubt they'll be getting food, since they don't have money or anything to use. So we should see what we can find." A few dozen or so of the critters they had captured before ought to be enough to get everyone sated for the night. It may even be worth going back to the ship, they hadn't in a while and there might be something on it for them to eat. "Let's find the biggest animals we can, okay? Then we can let Yumi cook it again."

"Oh come on now, is that any way for a warrior to talk? "I know you'll beat me," that's something you should never say." Garesh smiled as he made way towards the central tree, taking back roads to avoid curious onlookers who might follow and watch in on them. "T'charrl, if you knew some of the conditions we've fought in you wouldn't be so glum about this my boy. Trust me, you're fine to fight whether you believe it yourself or not. Your mother says otherwise though, so this is all we can do for now." Not too long after the familiar gardens came into view, the massive subterranean tree looming overhead. There were a few workers maintaining the plants here and a small group of people gathered along the benches, but otherwise the garden was empty. "Here we are, a nice quiet place for us to train."

Setting T'charrl down on his feet carefully the General handed him his crutch, making sure he was steady before backing off. Holding up a claw for his son to wait he hurried behind a pillar, grabbing a barrel and dragging it out from behind where it had sat. Prying the lid off carefully Garesh reached into it, pulling out two wooden practice swords that he and T'charrl used to use. They were well worn but still sturdy enough to strike, and that was all they needed. "Since you're not that mobile you'll probably be defending more," the General explained, holding one fo the swords hilt-out in offering to the Prince. "Unless you feel you can stand without the crutch. And remember, don't push yourself too hard. Your mother will kill me if you come back hurt."
