"Ah!" She stood with shock right has Dale left the table."Nooo!" She screamed lightly. She then noticed her surroundings and went red, she then bent down trying to hide her face from the others has if to show that it was nothing. Trying to get over the embarrassment, she slowly ate her cake which made her cheeks puff up and her eyes wide."D...D....D-Delicious!" She exclaimed put her hand on her cheek.

The man that had burst towards the front of the line and was impatiently tapping on a large bill looked like he was late for some really important meeting, Lauren thought. She filled a glass of water and quickly made the sandwich. She gave him his change and set the items he was asking for in front of him.

"Here you go, sir." She noticed Dale had brought out the order of a blonde girl who looked overjoyed after eating a bit of the cake. Something on Dale's face didn't look particularly pleased by it. Maybe it was the fact that so many people had come into the cafe right as it opened. He had been sweeping the floor before they opened, and she thought she could hear him talking to himself before she went into the storeroom to check the inventory. They didn't talk to each other that much outside of work, but she guessed that today was going to be one of those days for him.

"keep the change" he picked up his briefcase and sat down at a table and dug into his sandwhich

I guess I'll just get a drink, it's why I came here anyway... Do they have menus? Bryan finally stood up for good before asking. "Do you have soft drinks here?"?

Bryan turned to Charles and gave a glare. Jesus Christ, what is wrong with this guy? For someone who looks professional, he's a real asshole. "Oh, I'm sorry? You couldn't work out the basic that no one goes to a cafe and orders water?"

"Oi, old man and little kid. This is a cafe, if you want to argue take it outside." Vindle said. He was getting used to the bouncy girl, actually she seemed kinda cute. But people who were loud in the way of arguing ticked him off.

Bryan turned to Vindle. "Fine, do you serve soft drinks?" Bryan was visibly ticked off at this point.

Dale sighed heavily as he approached the group to break up the fight. "Hey now, that's not cool." He waved at Vindle dismissively. "He doesn't work here, but I do." He walked behind the counter and came back with fountain pop for Bryan. Then he gave him a tense glare as he handed it over.

"That'll be one-fity." He looked around from Bryan, to Charles to Vindle. "Don't go starting anything here, you guys would get off scot-free but I might get fired. This job is kinda the the only thing keeping my brother out of my hair."

"Okay..." Bryan rummaged in his pocket, and pulled out two dollars(/whatever currency this uses.) before handing it over.

Dale handed him back a quarter, but as he was about to do so he got threateningly close to Bryan's face and scowled.

"You're lucky I defused that situation for you this time, shrimp." He growled. "It may not be that way next time."

"Oh really? I'm a "shrimp" now? I can complain about this stuff you know, it's not like you're going to shoot me if I do." Bryan took the quarter, before turning to sit somewhere. Why can't these people just not be annoying?

"um.. Can I ask a question ..?" Chimed in Tina who is oblivious to the fight. She leaned on the counter a little staring at dale." I just got small tiny questions."

(Kinda screwed that up, should be fifty cents, not a quarter. PX oh well. Man, short changing AND threatening customers. Dale's kinda digging his own grave here.)

Dale still looked flustered, but didn't respond any further to Bryan and reluctantly addressed Tina instead.

"Yeah, sure, whatever." He didn't really make eye contact with her.

"Not nice to not look at someone.." She puffed out here cheeks. "Who made the cake?" She clapped her hands giving him big eyes.

He looked just a little bit on the side of bewildered and unsure when she asked. He pulled out a (dry) washcloth and pretended to wipe the counter nonchalantly.

"I...uh, I made it. That tiramisu stuff is kinda popular anymore, don't know where it came from but I thought it was worth a try...you know. Then the boss liked it and I guess we're serving it all the time now?

" You did! It was so delicious, I can feel it disappear in my mouth so easy and the texture was so fluffy!" If Tina had ears and a tail, it would be wagging right now."Thank you for the tiramisu." She pulled out a twenty and put it in front of him."A tip from me." She said smiling at him. It was not a normal smile but a sweet one with her eyes looking at him differently.

He tried even harder to avert his gaze. There where some oddly generous people here, first the fifty and now a twenty. The other guy just seemed to be in a rush, but she was being sweet on him...oh boy, now what was he going to do to get out of this?

"Thanks...I guess. I still can't cook or bake as well as my brother, but whatever."

"How modest." She said giggling."Next time, make me something good?" She said smiling at him." Of course I will pay!" she wave her hands in front of her in panic.

"Next...time?" He was practically blushing now. She was going to be back here every day.

"No wait, you gave me a twenty dollar tip! You don't have to pay anything else!"
