Dear Diary, This summer vacation sucks so hard...All that has been happening lately is my lame brother and his ultra weird friends digging up everyone's fields as they try to make some dorky underground fort for them to play inside of. I feel as if i'm going to die of boredom. My friend's and I have been hanging out every single day, which is cool I guess- except it does get a little repetitive. What can you expect in this town of like 200 people? Mom and Dad are doing alright, same old same with the farm and work- not like they really care about what anyone is doing anyways. Ugh, I just wish something would happen here already.... I'm 16 and ready to live!

Dear Di- What the hell! This is not the time to be formal with you right now diary! My brother and his friends were digging today, and they've gone pretty deep in and far out on our fields. I mean, I guess when you spend all day digging in the dirt together you could get- Oh my God, never mind all that... My brother and his friends dug up a pile of fucking bones today, and they were not animal bones..But not only did they dig up bones, they dug up a human body. I couldn't believe my eyes, when they came running towards me and my friends, they were covered in dirt, crying, sweating and out of breath. My friends and I went with them to see the situation, since we didn't believe them at first, and there we saw it...
A naked body, mangled in a way that will never get out of our heads, and will probably haunt us in our dreams. We had to tell our parents of course, and now a investigator from the big city is coming up to check things out. Our local police department is going to probably be there to snoop around as well, but God knows they don't have a full brain between them all. I hope they can figure out who did this, and why they did this. Don't tell my friends, but I'm really scared diary... What if the killer comes after us now? What if we're next? I don't want to end up like that corpse. I wanted some action in this town, but I never expected this!
Hello and welcome to Flensburg, Minnesota. A small town that your family has been a part of for many years. Most of our time consists of farming, going to school, and just trying not to die of boredom. But since its summer break, the real fun can begin- or can it? Our story starts a day before the excavation takes place, so we can get a feel for our characters and what the town's vibe is like. One the investigator comes to town for the murder- well, that is where we come in with our creativity and the story will build from there!
