"Good idea." Dante shot a smile at katherin. He got a little sad remembering that she still couldn't talk. "We should try and figure something out for you to be able to talk too. A pretty girl who can't talk isn't hard to track. Once you go out in town it would be remember-able. If you are being hunted that would be a sure sign of where you have been, if the doctor knows you can't talk." Dante said to Katherin. "I think it would be for the best if you made a new contract with your demon."

Katherin shook her head. They had no idea how hard it had been for her to get the deal she made with her demon. She knew they had a point but she wasnt go through the pain if making a deal again. I don't know what your experincecwas like when you made your deals, but I will tell you that making a deal with Secrets was extremely painful. I don't really want to do that again. Especially when I have nothing to offer him.

"What if one of us do? What if one of us had something secrets didn't know. Or a soul to offer. You could also threaten secrets. There are plenty of things. It wasn't painless for me. I am still recovering from the deal I made and my encounter with Promiscuity." Dante said trying to encourage Katherin. "You don't have to change your terms. We could figure out a way to help talk on the terms that you have agreed on too. I just think it would be easier for you to hide if you could talk." Dante said looking at Katherin with concerned eyes.

Katherin smiled at Dante. It was nice that someone was concerned with her. She had practically grow up alone. It's sweet of you to offer, but Secrets knew every secret you ever knew as soon as I laid eyes on you. I haven't met a person he hasn't able to do that to. I don't see how we can talk without changing the terms. I agree to reveal every secret Secrets knows anytime I try to speak. Now that would only take a couple of hours. Over the years it will take longer and longer. I guess I will have to talk to him again. It might take a day or more. He isn't a big talker. Katherin explained.

You could write books. I have an uncle that could probably help publish them." Dante said trying to get more creative with his suggestions. "That goes for any of you guys." Dante said looking around. He felt horrible that he kept incorporating Delilah with sex. He couldn't help himself. The effects of there encounter haunted his mind. He wanted to jump across the table and kiss her, but he resisted and just said dumb thing after dumb thing.He looked over at Katherin and his mind calmed. She had this peace about her that seemed to ground Dante.

Delilah glared at Dante before resting her head in her hands, she didn't want his help, or his advice, and she didn't want to write books. She wasn't like them. She wasn't an artist, she didn't heal the sick, she didn't tutor little brats and shape their minds. She was simple. "Whatever, Dante, I don't need your help. I'd rather take advice from someone else."

"Well we do have an eternity to figure this out." Dante said smiling at Katherin. Her eyes had him in a trance. He couldn't look away and suddenly he had tunnel vision and only saw her. He found himself wanting to be closer to her. He snapped out of it when he heard pain laughing at him. "Has anyone else ever been badly injured after getting the demon?" Dante asked trying to push his thoughts of Katherin away.

Not that I have discovered. None of the demons have caused serious injuries. Katherin answered. Even death was received without anyone ending up in the hospital.

"It's not like we have to figure this out immediately. Take your time and look at different careers. Hell, if things go smoothly you night not even have to bother." Luther finally came back into the conversation. Yes, while money would be an issue, it wasn't like they were broke. "I wasn't injured by Nightmares, though."

Delilah I understand that this had to be hard for you but attacking us isn't going to help. Katherin told her. We are just trying to help. Luther is right though we have enough funds that we don't have to worry about things for a couple years. Especially if we all work together. Take your time and find something that you can enjoy.

Dante wondered if Everyone goes to the darkroom he did when injured but he didn't want to ask because if he didn't want to freak them out, but then again it helps to be prepared. "I injured myself earlier and when I did I felt compelled to rest and when I did my Demon kind of put me in time out inside my head while he repaired my body. I was told a little bit of the demon's Pain and Promiscuity's past. It was very odd and I was wondering if you guys ever experienced that?" Dante said then finished his fruit salad as he waited for any responses.

"What? What about Promiscuity? I think I need to know, because I don't enter my own head very often." Delilah frowned as she stated this, looking up from her arms with unwanted interest. 'Hey, why didn't you tell me anything?' Delilah asked, hoping for a quick response in her head. It never came. She looked down at the page Katherin wrote, and sighed, putting her head back into her arms. "I know what work I can do, Katherin, but some people are just so mean they don't think I can leave the castle without jumping on something."

No one is being me! Katherrin scold. Even if you have no interest in someone peronally Pro,security will. Jet because you don't jump they doesn't mean they won't jump you!

When Delilah heard Katherin scribbling she looked up and nodded, leaning back in her chair and slumping. "Okay, sorry Katherin. I didn't want to be rude about it, but I guess it'd too late for that."

Luther had to think about the question for a moment. "Something like that sounds...Familiar, but I don't think I've heard any history. Then again, for awhile I thought i had just gone insane, so I didn't really listen to what he had to say." He had never given it much thought, but he realized that every time he had tried to harm himself Nightmares healed him.

When I tried to kill myself I ended up some place that felt like a box. I couldn't see anything. I couldn't feel anything. And the only thing I heard was Secrets. That's when he started to tell me the things I told you. Katherin wrote.

"The place I was brought was dark and cold. The floor felt like a puddle but it was solid. I could hear Pain talking but I couldn't see him. I guess it was because he was fixing my body. Pain told me that Pain and Promiscuity were lovers and that they use to destroy cities together. It was strange having my demon open up to me. Usually he laughs at me or enjoys my pain. This time he showed me compassion. Weird." Dante said staring off. "Delilah I am sure you can control yourself. I think we all need to take sometime getting a hold of our powers and getting to know each other. I think that would make this situation much easier." He said now looking around the table at everyone.

"If I ever get a break like that from Nightmares, I'll let you know." In the times Luther had injured himself, mostly it was just his demon taunting him. He still wasn't completely comfortable with being open to everyone. "Both of those are going to take time. They wouldn't let us have anything easy, you know."

"It might take longer for the demons to be around each other, but I don't see why it has to be so hard for us to trust each other." Dante said and then laughed. "well I am stuffed If everyone is done then I will clean up then." Dante said getting up and bringing his plate to the kitchen.

One minute Katherin was sitting listening to her friends when suddenly the room disappeared. She could no longer see or feel anything. Out of the darkness she heard Secrets' voice. The doctor is coming. I feel him very close to the castle Katherin waved to her friends and hurried outside.

Dante put his plate down and followed Katherin. "Is something wrong?" Dante asked. He had noticed a shocked look on her face when she waved at them. He could feel something was wrong. He could feel Pain was on edge as well. The calm mood of them around the dinning table had quickly changed and Dante had wondered what was going on. He rushed outside the castle with Katherin. He could have been following her to a certain death and he didn't care. He promised to keep her safe and not let her down again and he didn't plan on it. As they made it outside he took he put his hand on her shoulder and said. "What is it that we are looking for?" He wanted to hold her hand but he knew if she was going to respond she would need to write.
