A Harry x Hermione & Draco x Ron RP which begins in the middle of the last book.

So I don't think we decided where Ron would actually run into Draco, and if Draco and Ron decide to be a neutral party or an "evil" one or even "good" I honestly don't mind either way though based on how I write him, I would foresee him shifting to evil or neutral myself. How are you looking to play Draco?

I was thinking Ron could run into him after he leaves Harry and Hermione in the woods. If I recall correctly (been a while since I read or watched DH), he was staying at an inn and he came across a group of snatchers before returning to his friends? Maybe Draco could have been sent to look things over and that's where he sees him. My take on things was that as Lucius fell out of favor with Voldemort, Draco was sort of forced to take over as head of the family whether he liked it or not. Outside, he acclimates to his role quite well, but inside it really wears him down and by the end, he just wants the war to be over and doesn't care who wins, despite thinking his blood is still superior.

I play Draco a little darker than the books make him out to be. Less of an all talk coward and more ruthless and calculating. He's willing to go the distance in order to impress someone important, but he'd also turn on them when the time is right. I like to take his posh upbringing to another level as well, taking from that sort of untouchable. old money, yuppie vibe he gives off. Definitely less of a bully now that's he's older as well, and deeper now that's going to see the way that war tears everything apart. I think now that he's got these feelings for Ron (which he finds absolutely disgusting), he'll finally be concerned for someone other than himself and his mother.

Personally, I don't really see Draco convincing Ron to come to the dark side. If he tried, I would picture Draco getting really angry with him, so probably a bit of role reversal there. He might end up being true neutral by the time everything is said and done.

Yes, Ron did get tailed by some snatchers if I recall. *nods* And if it's at some inn in the middle of nowhere or outside of some quaint village, he could run into Draco who is trying to do some recon of his own for Lord Voldemort. We could have Ron fend off the snatchers with the aid of Draco (likely hiding his identity). And then they would probably be able to go back inside and confront one another. How would Draco approach Ron? If Draco is working for LV, is he tasked to bring Harry to him? Or would Draco try to "befriend" Draco in order to get to Harry? I'm just trying to figure out what mindset or tone we'll have at the start. Sorry if it's petulant. In the end, it's probably most likely that Draco and Ron just remain on no one's side. Ron's sick of Harry's dangerous life but still respects him as a friend but doesn't find it smart to risk his life when his family has been put in constant danger.

For Harry and Hermione, with Ron gone, we can deal with the slice of life issues of finding food, staying safe, maybe settling down in one place for a while. We could even have them celebrate christmas (while maybe pushing the whole Godric's Hollow to a later point) and just try to enjoy one another's company. And then there's the issue of the locket and who wears it etc.

No, not at all. I'd rather go over things than just jump right in and I like to be on the same page with my partner at all times. I like that set up, and then yeah, they could go in and confront each other about what they're both doing there. I think that Draco might pressure Ron to tell him where Harry is, just because Harry hasn't saved him yet and things are probably really bad back at the Manor, so he's desperate for some kind of way out. Maybe after a few nights together and listening to Ron talk about Harry, he'll convince him to go back to his friends, and stay safe. Draco would chance lying to Voldemort about what he found because that might be the first time he admits to himself that he does love Ron? If that's too sappy then we can forget that last bit, lol.

I think the slice of life between Harry and Hermione will balance out the angst of Draco and Ron. Them celebrating Christmas would be adorable, and I don't mind switching up canon events. With them only sharing the locket between them, I imagine there would be mounting tension and we could have some fights thrown in.

Alright now I think we're about ready to start, I think what we have so far is good.

So just to recap a general direction for the beginning:

I'll likely end my post with the battle halfway done so you can go ahead and finish it if you'd like or if you'd like me to puppet it to the end and already have it revealed that Draco is around, it's cool either way with me.

> With Ron gone, it's unsafe to stay and risk someone finding them (since hey, Ron could totally blab right???) so they relocate and find the need to go into town and get more supplies. Maybe Hermione and Harry decide to learn some new spells in the meantime while alternating who wears the locket for clues while the other tries to keep their spirits up.

And communication is good, it's what ensures we know where we're going and that we're both happy with everything. ^^ So I can start us off id you'd like. Did we say how much we'd generally post per role?

But yes, that's what we've discussed and it's correct. I like the other plot points as well, especially looking for other horcruxes.

Feel free c: And no, we didn't, but don't stress or anything. Sometimes more will need to be said for a character, sometimes less and I'll generally just match. Long posts aren't a problem for me, so don't feel the need to stifle yourself if you've got a lot to say.

No, that's fine! I just didn't know if we were going to start with building their relationship or let it already be established. It makes sense to start with him leaving just to keep both pairings on track, though.
