That's cool and all...but that's not how the move Counter works. If I had Lucario attack Riolu, instead of just talking, then that move would work. Counter only works if the user gets attacked by a physical move, like Sky Uppercut or Shadow Claw.

He was thrown on dirt, not gravel.

And yes they do, but come on. It's also pokemon logic that Counter works once hit by a physical move.

If he was using Force Palm with all that power, then that'll be more believable

well dirt contains pebbles pebbles hurt he went skimming across teh ground DIRT hurts if u are thrown as anyone who has been thrown on dirt forcefuly will tell you
by size it threw it far so it took damage to its psychical body

but if i change it to force palm would u be happy
