His plan seemed to be working so far. From high above the battle-zone, Target could see another autobot battle-group assisting the already bogged down group with the insecticons. Pleased to see that the autobots fell for the bait, he descended to the destroyed jamming device to meet up with the remaining troops under his command. When he landed, he noticed that, besides the 3 decepticons who where not originally assigned to him, Blitzwing seemed to be the only surviving member of the battle-group. Blitzwing barked at him sharply, "Are you nuts? Taunting the autobots in an attempt to get us killed?!"
Target answered Blitzwing calmly, "We need to draw their attention as a friendly vessel makes it's way to safety." Target turned to address the other decepticons, "I don't care why you're here or for what reason, you're under my authority now." Without letting any of them object he continued speaking, "We need to hold this point. I want you two to dig a few holes in the area and plant explosives in them, this should convince the autobots that there is an energon mine below us. Those of us that remain-" When the sound of footsteps coming from some nearby trees, everyone there pulled out their weapon and aimed in that direction.
Out of the trees a cybertronian with a decepticon icon on his lime-green chest shouting excitedly, "Target! Target, I'm here!" The cybertronian didn't seem to notice the weapons trained on him as he seemed to be holding something he was protecting with his hands.
Target sighed with relief, grateful the autobots didn't simply rush them. "Lower your weapons, it's a fellow decepticon." While, normally Target wouldn't be glad about seeing this decepticon in most situations, he was glad he was here now, one more fighter for this dangerous skeme. "Duelwing, I'm glad you've returned from your 'special mission'. Did you have any luck?" Duelwing somehow heard about a mission involving a dig-site back on Nemesis. While Target knew nothing about it himself, Duelwing basicly begged to be given that mission with him. While Target at first was reluctant to give in to his insistent begging, when he was given this Secure and Hold mission, he needed to garente precision and that's something Duelwing isn't overly known for. He had sent him off on a made up mission at a dig-site, which probably consisted of nothing more than fossilized bones.
Duelwing shook his head excitedly, "No. I failed the mission you gave me, which very much annoyed me." Some of the decepticons looked at each other in confusion, he had said that with such excitement. Duelwing continued speaking, "So, I brought back a prize with me anyway." He opened his hands to reveal a human in what seemed to be a white trenchcoat. The human's eyes took a few seconds to adjust to the light before freezing at the sight before him.
Target looked at the human then back at Duelwing, "Why did you bring this worm here?"
"He's my new pet! I call him Mr. Whitey." Duelwing looked down at the human, or 'Mr. Whitey', and said, "Say hello Mr. Whitey."
The human spoke up, "M-my name's not Mr. Whitey. I am Dr. Roland Da-"
Target interrupted the human, "This human can't be you're pet." Target offered out his hand, "Give him to me and I'll put him out of his misery." Duelwing started to burst into tears, giving the human into Target's hand. The human tried to stay on Duelwing's hand but to no avail. He landed roughly on the mechanical being's hand. The man then started to whimper and cry as the realization of his death drew near.
Before Target could crush the human within his hand, a thought crossed his mind and pondered upon as he stared at the human. He eventual spoke to the worthless creature in his grip, "What kind of doctor are you exactly?"
The man looked up at him with a confused look, "I-I'm an archaeologist. I h-help with the d-discovery of different kinds of c-c-creatures of the p-past."
"Could you use that knowledge in finding precious minerals? Like say... instead of finding bones you found materials that humanity considers unimportant?"
The man looked even more confused, "N-no, not really."
Target shrugged, "Very well. You're of no use to us then."
The man shouted, quickly before Target's grip tightened, "I-I mean, yes I can but it's not common."
The decepticon simply chuckled as he simply held the human in his grasp. Target turned his attention to his companions, "We've got ourselves a ticket out of here if need be." He spoke to the two he had already given orders to, "Stop standing around and do what I told you." As they quickly got to attention and went to start digging holes periodically, planting some explosives within them. Target turned his attention to the rest, "Find cover and prepare yourselves for the eventual autobot attack." He held onto the human, explaining to him in detail what he wanted him to say. The rest of the decepticons did as they were order, doing their best to ignore the weeping Duelwing, who still seemed to be following Targets orders as well.
There was silence on the secure channel, to the point where it seemed to be empty. Until a rough, slightly bored, voice responded, "State you're identification, purpose and-" There was a pause before the voice came back on, slightly annoyed now, "Who's gone and kicked the hornet's nest? Oi, whoever you are, if you have anything to do with this explain yourself!"
The bullets from the human sparked across the decepticon's shoulder, to his chest and finally into his face. Quake had to block the bullets with his free hand as they were blinding him. He shot in the direction of the nuisance, hitting the floor near him and causing dust to engulf the human soldier. Quake didn't even wait for the dust to settle to see if the nuisance was dead, he looked for his original target. The human must have dived into cover as he was distracted. Quake cursed as he turned to find that the female human had also disappeared, causing him to curse even louder. It wouldn't be to hard for him to find her again, the object she carried gave off a very faint signal. If he could find it again, he would locate her and rip her to shreds.
Quake smiled as he picked up the signal, it had moved in behind some buildings. The decepticon decided it would be a good idea to show some force. He started running in the general direction of the signal, ignoring the light fire from the human soldiers as he ran past them. Quake rammed through a building, causing debris to fly all over the place. When he was on the other side of the building, he grasped his wounded shoulder. He probably shouldn't have rammed through the building with it. He turned his eyes up, looking for signs of the human female.
