Recently, I had given The Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection game to a couple of friends of mine. It was Summer, and I was visiting town for a couple of days. These friends were both female, sisters actually, and as far as I knew, the only video games they regularly played were Call of Duty and Minecraft. So I lent the game to them to try, suggesting that they played Shadow of the Colossus first (it's my favorite out of the two). In my visit, I had played through the first five Colossi before I had to leave.
Two days later, I contacted them to see what their reactions of the game were. The game for them was epic, the ending angering after
. One actually started crying. One of them suggested that Team Ico should make a sequel. Then, suddenly, a raging fire ignited, burning me to my very core with lust and longing.
There is a game in development. Er, was, I think. I would like to think that the very highly anticipated third installment to the Ico series, The Last Guardian, is still in development somewhere in Sony, but it's been five or so years since they've given us any information about it, besides a very shady denial of IGN's claim that the project was shut down. But what do you guys think of it? Have you abandoned the hope of The Last Guardian ever seeing the light of day? Or, like me, are you clinging to the possibility of the sequel. Onetwothree GO!
