And Jig, that was an absolutely amazing post, arm and all. I give you my finest kudos. Yes, yes I do. I've broken an arm before and it sucks. Especially if there's a cast on. Especially when it just starts aching for no reason or itching. Those are the absolute worst times.
Patience, ah, it comes here in plenty in our little group, and I do enjoy the little OOC conversations we have. And hm. Shall we discuss our character's backgrounds IC? And discuss where they're from though I'm quite curious and might end up being a bit of a nag and curious where they're from. Though we know Rikki's flown in from America, yes? And James from England, London in fact?
...hm. Perhaps it's giving away a little, but Erika's flown in from an English airport too. How lovely! Though that's not all that there is to her.
Perhaps, hm...And I'm not actually sure, Biggie. Not sure how conversations will go about. It would be tedious in just one-liners, but perhaps ask questions to everyone, commit actions, and expect the answers to link up in the next post somehow?
I've no clue, boo! But it should be interesting seeing how we make things turn around.
And ah, as Flavia, you said long, long ago. I do agree this is a great cast we have. I really feel like I'm learning a little something from you all! This is the first advanced RP I've ever even bothered to look at, let alone be a part of. And I'm learning so much. And it's so wonderful to see so many different writing styles and whatnot.

Finally posted. Thanks for the well wishes everyone, hope nobody is too disappointed, I've never written as a person high on drugs (though I have done some) so I'm afraid it might be a bit weird and seem sort of disjointed because there was a lot of craziness to cover, but as things get more contained and situational I'm sure that will go away. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy.

Rikki is from the U.S. and she's correct, Erie can be a bitch sometimes. Still, I'll take lake effect snow over tornadoes and hurricanes any day. :)

As far as I can tell, conversations in rps are the great big problem that no one can seem to solve. It's hard to think of an effective and non-intrusive way to do it. Normally people get stuck with one liners for posts. One idea would be, if it were a conversation between 2 characters, the players could work it out in a pm, write their lines back and forth. Same thing for the larger conversations, only that would be a group pm. The problem with this would be that it would take a lot longer to get through a post as we would have to wait for everyone to get their contribution in. But it would be a more realistic way to write meaningful conversations. I was thinking of testing it out on my next post.

My other 2 cents, as curious I am about everybody's characters, I think it would be really neat if we found out about each others characters at the same time that our own characters do just to make it more natural. I have a hunch that's why bliss didn't want us to start off with character sheets and laying everything about our characters out in the open. To keep things all mysterious and such.

Edit: Woah, nice post, cops. I get the feeling that Dr. Halibern is gonna be a wild card in our little adventure.

James is about 5'11" (My height) around 170 pounds of athletic build, though he's not in peak physical condition anymore. He has brown hair,brown eyes, and is currently wearing a grey coloured suit at the moment with a dark navy overcoat. In terms of age, he is 21.

RPG's mibbit chatroom is pretty good for this, especially for more than two parties. Crucial thing is only to do this with dialogue; body text should be written from only one character's perspective.

Benji typically looks like a bit of a modern hippie with loose clothing and such but I think I detailed in the post. He probably has some earrings that didn't occur to me as I was writing, but I think a long spiky one in one ear and a stretcher in t'other.

Since people can tell whereabouts most people come from on accent alone in the UK and James and Benji should be able to clock the other from speech, Benji is from the West Country - farmer land. Kind of like the UK equivalent of the deep South I guess, but not considered as ridiculous. Where's James from?

I'm glad you guys liked it :) I think we've got a really strong group of writers here, all the posts have been great so far!

As for appearance, Henry is 42 but still in pretty great shape due to habits he picked up in the military (I mentioned he was a veteran already IC so I hope that's okay to say). He's 6'2 (a little shorter than I am) but otherwise I guess he just looks like my avatar (me) but like 20 years older. He's wearing a dress shirt with a light purple criscrossing sort of pattern on a white background, sleeves rolled up, over that is just a nice grey vest with a similar pattern, some nice black fitted jeans, and then for shoes he's got a classy light grey pair of wingtip style sneakers.

Rikki is from the States, with an accent that is closer to Canadian than New York. She's got mid back length dark brown hair and bright hazel eyes. The way she dresses and acts are not at all feminine, though not she`s not making a statement. She's short and out of shape, but not fat. She dresses plainly, wears no makeup and is 22 years old.

HAH. Oh my god (pun intended), very cool post, Cal. Yeah, the whole "My husband is a fallen angel" bit had me laughing.

And here's the bad news! Terribly sorry to you all but I've spent today preparing for an audition that I have tomorrow morning, after which I'm spending the day with my boyfriend. Therefore, I don't think I'll get another post up until tomorrow night, but really it'll just be a little filler something saying that the limo started up and rolled along the streets, blah blah blah. This is where you guys will have your conversations in the car, yes. So if you all had someone in mind that you wanted to chat with and collab a post with, you can most certainly start brainstorming on that if desired. The limo bit won't be SO long, so don't stress out about the conversations or whatever.

Sidebar; I'll be describing NPCs and making a (crappily drawn) map of the Manor when the group arrives there, so that'll be in my OP most likely after this limo scene.

As for descriptions, like Biggie said, described in the IC but perhaps a little recap would be nice.
Erika's about 5'5", really. But with her current attire, which includes black ankle-boots with little heels, she looks about 5'6, almost 5'7. She's got natural slightly tanned skin because of her northern-Indian roots and where she's spent her whole life in the desert. More specifically, The UAE, or Dubai, the more internationally well-known City of Lights in the Middle east. Her English-speaking accent is primarily American, though an English lilt can crawl in in some places, because of the ever-international environment and education she'd gotten there. Was in England because she was going to continue her higher education there, making her about 18, going on 19.
She's got dark brown, near-black hair that goes down to her middle back as well and dusky grey eyes, usually kept behind a pair of black rectangular glasses with bevelled edges. Right now, she's wearing a long, quite plain winter top in olive green with just a little work in golden done on the neckline, and sleeves that almost cover her hands as well. Under that, a pair of worn black skinny-jeans and then the boots from earlier.

I...didn't overdo it, right? Maybe just a tiny, tiny bit, err...
