I should have mentioned this earlier...but I am on that stage of life when virtually everyone I know is getting married, here represented by THREE out-out-town (two of them out of state!) weddings this weekend, next weekend, and the following. I shall do my utmost to post on Sunday nights and week days, but Saturdays are pretty much shot through September. Something something, young love. *phew*

Thank you Igraine, it is good to be out for a little, though admittedly I am diving right back in to my world history text. But look what I managed to make last night (when I totally should have been studying)!! I'm so excited with how they came out that I had to share my geeky excitement.

I was going to make Lilac soap but then with the cool in the air I switched, it is such a pumpkin time for things.

Took my family to "The Great Pumpkin Farm" up here this morning. We picked out our pumpkins, the kids went on a few carnival rides, we got to fire a "punkin chucker", and had a lunch of fresh cinnamon donuts with hot cider. (Sighs contentedly.)

Our house always has some Halloween decor up, we met at a Halloween party, were married in October (18 years in 2 weeks) and named our eldest "Autumn." The Fall is always the best. I can't wait until the leaves start turning! It's the best weather for mulled cider, spiced mead, and a good pipe. It's also a good time to snuggle under piles of blankets!

Oh that is lovely to hear Justric, and congratulations a little early, on your upcoming anniversary! Honestly, there really is ridiculously little to NOT like about Autumn. Even if you have to rake leaves, in the end it's all good fun to jump into - who could complain?
