Well like MrDidact told me, if you kill someone you won't get into too much trouble if you did it during a battle/crisis, something along those lines. If you hunt down a criminal or villain just to kill them, then yeah the League will do stuff to punish you.

Krein, Pretty much if you noticed in the Slaughterhouse fight the heroes didn't go apeshit but they didn't pull their punches when it meant risking their own lives too much.
