<Snipped quote by Legend>

What is a pseudo-Codex?

A creature with similar properties but is not one of the Codex.

And is it because the creature is similar to a Codex that a Codex can use it to expand their own essence?

Essentially. It gives the Codex experience in ovetaking the influence of another Codex without another Codex being destroyed.

Huh. So it's basically practising overwhelming a Codex using an almost-Codex that expands your essence?

Can this almost-Codex be formed in any way that does not involve the destruction of living beings?

Almost certainly no. A pseudo-Codex is a living creature and that would be akin to asking whether or not a Codex can be nonliving.

Hmm... I'm not sure what to ask from here. If it's just--practice, then I just have to find another way to expand my essence.

You will fail. This particular battle requires death. It is not a matter of power or even influence, but specifically in order to approach Baphumet.

Oh, "things". I suppose you have plans other than kidnapping our friends, then. Please, do elaborate on these games of yours.

None of your friends were actually kidnapped, believe it or. Ot. Some non-friends were, but none if your friends. They stayed willingly after they heard the explanation.

I have two questions. The first is: why should we trust you? And the second, does that explanation happen to be "If you leave you or someone you know will die?"

I can try and find a way to emulate what is needed.
