I’m an elite operative in the IAEA. Often I’m assigned to various pioneer worlds long-term to protect them.
Oh, eh. Long term being?

One—a unique magical crystal in a refractive structure, made to channel and extract energy from light. The second—an Outside-permeable lattice of light-like particles which I do not yet fully understand.

Oh, eh. Long term being?
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
So there is the possibility that we could end up not knowing what she’s made of, if we take that route?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
In my two deployments, several months. But it’s been known to take several years.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>
Very good! Refine your technique, as it will work for most fields. The redistribution of energy in a field is a powerful tool.
<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>
Hopefully, we will have the ability to analyse it. But, given the current trend, it could be an entirely new material. She should be able to synthesise it—whether anyone else can could be another matter. It is a wild card, to be true. The guarantees I have are that it will be robust, powerful, and sustainable, and that her soul will thrive in its housing. I offer it as an option, but there may be others available to you.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
Why do you guys, like, do it?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
People on the edge of known space need protection. Often it’s needed, but sometimes it’s just the feeling of safety that makes them feel better as the colony grows.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
Who's going after them?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
It’s any number of things. Threats like terrorists or revolutionaries that are generated within the IA and want to usurp a colony from the IA. There are a lot of people in the IA, so there are lots who disagree with the way things are at any given moment. Outside threats, like interdimensional pirates, hostile governments. You name it.

The fact that the option is there, I will not lie to you, makes me very happy. But the fact that there are unpredictabilities and unknowns involved, I will not lie to you, makes me very... Apprehensive, to say the least.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
Pirates are cool.
<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>
Hmm... There may be a way to eliminate some of those uncertainties. If I can adopt a very good echo of her soul, I may be able to carry the process along enough to discover what material would be created, and we can theorise how it would form her body. Of course, you have many scientists at your disposal, and with Isaac you may very well be able to develop a material yourselves.

I am of the opinion that we already have a solution on hand. Purely by coincidence, but it’s there nonetheless.

They make my life difficult, to say the least.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
Do you mean mine, or something you have found along the way?

*Looks to Sven when I initially start explaining*
Kat asked a favor of Sven, some time ago. She said she wanted, what was it, a “cool robot sister to do android things and evil slaying” with? Her words, not mine, but the result from that project at this point in time is, to describe this briefly, a potential candidate to house Violet’s soul. A humanoid mechanical shell that we have not yet programmed.
