We were in the middle of nowhere, but God gave us enough battery to get within walking distance of a Walmart. We replaced the battery, but it was actually the alternator that's going out, so we were able to get to a hotel with the new battery, and we're going to get it replaced tomorrow, and we'll hopefully be able to get there before my elderly relative's birthday party. But boy, was it close. The little meter kept going up and down.

Not very "least," don't you think. =P I sometimes find it a bit silly to use "at least" even though I use it all the time so I'm kind of being a hypocrite. Sometimes what we say is at least is not least at all, but we still use it because who cares about literal meanings of idioms omq

But it literally is an idiom and doesn't necessarily mean it was the least.
