RUSH COIL.
Imma start doing a daily fun fact here in the OOC that will expand upon the background of my characters and other things I've created in MR. So a daily lore fact.
<Snipped quote by Heroic>
We should also start writing up character sheets for all our characters for the char page.
I may or may not take back my statements about the hiatus. I could just post at night only.

Easy for you to be excited about.

I have tons.
Yeah, today was a rough day.
It marks exactly a year from when my aunt passed away due to a fatal gunshot wound, and I wasnt able to make it to the memorial because I forgot to request that day off....
I'm quite a piece of work...
<Snipped quote by Heroic>
Like, slowly. Whenever you feel like it. It'll be worth it.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
Dang. I know it'll get better, though. I'll be praying for you.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
Thanks, I'll pray tonight, and hopefully she can hear me in heaven..
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
As far as I remember, they can. David probably knows more on that subject than I do. But when you pray, of course remember that you shouldn't pray to her as you would with Jesus. As in, asking her for things and other prayers like that.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
You shouldn't pray as if you talk to the dead at all. Those in heaven can see our lives as they are now, and watch us, so it's not necessary. Pray to God for your needs, but there's nothing that remains unspoken. Anything that you wanted to say last to them, they know.
I'm back, by the way.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
People feel more consoled when they have "conversations" with relatives. I myself think that, unnecessary as it is, it's still okay to do it. As far as I remember, there's nothing in the Bible against that in particular (as long as you don't pray to them).

In fact, remember that God knows our heart and all our desires and groaning. Yet he asks us to speak with him anyway. Of course, it's a different matter with dead relatives, but the same principle applies--just because someone knows something doesn't mean they won't listen to you talk about it, especially if it helps your mind on the matter.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
The Bible says not to pray to anyone but God. Prayer, by definition, is having a "conversation" with a spiritual entity. It's wrong to speak to them directly, and borders on Paganism.
<Snipped quote by Legend>
I suppose that's true. And I very nearly made the argument that "but it helps them, and it's not like they're thinking that way," but then I remembered that you can have good intentions all you want and it doesn't justify an act. But do you have another suggestion for Soul's consolation? He still needs it.
