I've done the genius thing before. A lot of times. Way too many times. Although, Crona's unpredictability, along with their sword and resilience makes them the better fighter as opposed to a planner.

Nope. In Soul Eater's case, the manga is the canon. And she's a girl in the manga, but a guy in the anime. Medusa literally calls Crona her daughter right before Crona kills her. Which doesn't happen in the anime (obviously).
