Old system of organizing organisms.
Tier 1 - Animals. Living things with no intelligence.
Tier 2 - "Normal" people, or those who we would call non-"superhuman".
Tier 3 - "Superhuman" entities.
Tier 4 - Interdimensional travelers.
Tier 5 - The old keepers of the law. They ran the system, which defined how Existence functioned, to put it bluntly.
