Name:Nokio, Kotori
Age: 16
History:Kotori, growing up, had been something of a pessimist as well as an extremely unhappy individual. (She's most probably to have picked up her pessimism from her rather cynical parents and older sibling.) Later, however, they realized their influence on their daughter and started to regret it. They started encouraging her, seemingly out of the blue, to have a more positive outlook. At this point, it was already too late, however - Kotori had a rather dark, if not outright cynical mindset. As the years passed, her parents and dwindling number of friends started to get fed up with her attitude and pressured her to be more cheerful / positive all the time. She quickly became aware her parents weren't going to stop bothering her unless she what they wanted her to. At first, the very thought was off limits to her, but, eventually, she decided to give it a tentative try. Kotori found herself starting to, surprisingly, enjoying this.
Although this change of attitude was more of her putting on a facade than anything else, the people around her encouraged her to keep it up. Although at first, she found it irritating and considered giving it up, she soon changed her mind. Now, she could only see this guise as something beneficial, and tried her hardest to upkeep it. (Now, as it's a permanent part of her personality, she finds it nearly impossible to revert back to her old ways.)
Eventually, Kotori became rather well known in her school for her 'compassion', as well as her 'kindness'. Her false attitude quickly found its place in her life - it was the only reason people even paid attention to her at all, she soon found out. Eventually, her classmates began to come to her for help (more specifically, emotional support / comfort and someone to talk to). This was when Kotori finally realized the golden opportunity she had to take control of her classmates. She started using her growing reputation to undermine and mislead people she disliked, usually on a whim or shallow reasons. By now, she thought of this as her making up for her lack of control earlier in her life, and as some sort of payback for the people who had disagreed with her. It was also rather self indulgent behavior on her part, as it made her feel smug being the one who was in the position to mess with people's feelings. Kotori also hates it when other people start to remind her the cheerful attitude is just a guise, as this will cause her to lash out / become defensive.
She had been late making her way home from school one day when she had decided to deviate from her normal route, taking a shortcut. What Kotori didn't realize was that there had been someone following her - soon enough, she blacked out. When she woke up in Greeneburg, she found herself starting to panic. Clinging onto the small bit of reason still left in her, Kotori quickly concluded she had to take things into her own hands before the entire situation went to chaos. After all, what group would be a group without someone to keep the morale up?
Personality:Kotori is fairly energetic individual, and is constantly trying to boost the group's morale with her strange mix of both a peppy and comforting attitude. She appears to be quite compassionate, as she apparently helps others 'because it's the right thing to do'. Accompanied with the warm smile on her face, she's often labeled as the 'reasonable' one of the group. While the 'reasonable' trait does apply to her most of the time, it's severely impeded during any sort of stressful situation. During this particular situation, she's mostly likely to become rather biased and base her decisions in personal preferences rather than logic or reason.
However, occasionally, she does seem to be annoyingly cheerful, reaching the point where you start to wonder if she's just faking it. That assumption would be correct, actually, as Kotori does fake the more positive parts of her personality. This goes to hide her tendencies of being something of a control freak, resulting in her somewhat manipulating the group's emotions while still acting as the 'emotional support'. She doesn't do this to try and cause the group to fail, but merely on the whim of having control over as many things as possible. She seems to be obsessed with this idea, as she's afraid she'll lose control and everyone will panic, the situation then spiraling out of control from there.
She's extremely biased towards certain people, and will constantly make herself a pain to whoever she doesn't fancy. Although she seems like the sort of person someone should trust, as soon as she's put under pressure, she'll blaming everything on someone she dislikes. (Due to her being somewhat self centered, the idea that she herself may be the problem will never cross her mind.) Kotori also hates having the spotlight put on her, and will take being asked what to do (especially in tight situations) as provocation. If accused of manipulating others, she'll become passive aggressive (possibly outright aggressive, as well). If stressed to her limit, she'll go berserk at even the most innocent of statements, possibly lashing out physically at the others. Despite her attitude being a cover for her manipulation, she's still the cheerful one of the group, and will continue to provide emotional support for most of the group. (With the exception of whoever gets on her bad side, of course.)
Kotori's also rather clingy to the people she thinks to be 'interesting', as she soon develops a curiosity to know more about them. If this continues, it evolves into an almost stalker-like obsession with the individual. (However, this isn't any sort of romantic obsession, as she's asexual. It's more of an interest in studying the individual's movements and habits, and getting to know everything about them. Kotori likes to describe it as 'admiring' the individual.) As well as being rather clingy personality wise, Kotori also has the habit of literally clinging onto others, usually in the form of latching herself onto someone's arm. This could be described as her way of 'hugging' others, although she sometimes does actually tackle hug people.

Other:As for the idea, I was thinking there would maybe be some sort of chess game where the characters face off one another (or something else)? And then, if they fail, they're injured severely in one way or another, but don't die to prolong the suffering. Or maybe there could be some sort of mutated vulture-like creatures who don't attack characters until they're nearly dead (but still conscious) and then devour them? (I don't really know, I'm just throwing out ideas right now. :p)
