Thank the lord for custom avatars again T___T. Glad you said something Alarei haha. Also, True Detective... My god, it's so good. I'm just pissed that with it being an anthology series, we're gonna get a new cast next season. I usually don't like Matt McCon, but he's been pretty fucking good in this series. My favorite character is Rust by far(even if his idealism is utterly stupid in my opinion XDD).

So then, this is moving at a pretty good pace to begin with. Only a few more posters to go and I'll be moving us right along.

I'm actually fine with it being an anthology show, it keeps things fresh in my opinion...It allows the show writers to come up with new and interesting plots, as well as introduce us to more thought-provoking characters.

I don't think True Detective is the kind of show where it matters about the murders and stuff like that. To me, the murder investigations just seem like a kind of backdrop for Rust to be able to express his self-indulgent nihilistic views about humanity, and other philosophical bullshit.

Which to me is quite fantastic, it's brain food to me.

@Alarei - I do agree that it's brain food for sure. I appreciate the different perspective on life and existence, but like I said, I still find the logic to be ridiculous lol. Just like last episode, Marty put it perfectly: "For a guy who doesn't care about existence, you sure do worry about it a lot" XDD. Rust is super interesting though and I just fear that without the duo of these two leads, next season will be weaker and not as entertaining because you're right, I couldn't care less about the murder backdrop. That's just standard fare to me as I've seen too many shows about twisted murderers.

Gordian has a family emergency that needs dire attending to so, after Rockette posts, we'll be moving forward. Gordian won't be cut, the character we'll just appear a little later on. So ETA or plot movement is Saturday at the absolute latest.

Are we aiming to largely have a post order, or is it just going to a free-ish-for-all?

Well, I'm a bit peculiar in that regard. I like to let every player get an introduction post in when the IC starts, but after that, it's largely free-ish, emphasis on the ISH.

Basically, especially in Advanced, I expect players to be able to determine when the appropriate time to post is. If you know you haven't posted in four days, you probably should unless you were the last one to do so in which case the momentum has slowed for some reason. Also due to the large cast, it's not natural to have to wait for 9 posts every time a character speaks to another - nothing would ever get finished that way or it'd be an RP full of only collabs lol.

After Rockette and I post, you guys are free to post when necessary. Obviously, I don't expect anyone to start their own little mini-RP with a bunch of NPCs inside of mine, but I'm sure you understand the picture. If Elton says something James, you're free to reply immediately and if we wish to have a longer scene with a longer conversation, we can collab so as not to initiate a back and forth in the thread. Don't misunderstand, I will and do regulate posting should it become wild or unsavory, but this method has worked for me for the most part in terms of character interaction.

When I move the RP forward, I usually say so everyone knows I'm not just posting a reply, but rather a scene moving post. Hope that answered your question :D.

I apologize for my short absence of sorts, I had a double shift at work and then proceeded to fall right asleep XD. So, a couple things.

First, Alarei has withdrawn from the RP. It's not a big deal since I don't think he ever made an intro post anyway and it won't wreck anything I have planned, but I needed to announce this nonetheless.

Second, I will be moving us along today. Now, I'll still give Rockette and Gordian some more hours to get their posts up today, but my post will be up by the end of the day at the latest.

How's everyone's weekend going? I know it's Rockette's BIRTHDAY weekend XDD.
