All right then. Hey there, I'm phantori, relatively new to this site. I've been browsing roleplays and interest checks for about two weeks straight and have only found a couple that seemed interesting to me, and of those only one has actually gone into the IC stage. So I'm just going to try for my own.
GMing isn't normally my thing; I've only ever had one successful thread and I'm not even sure you can call it that since most of the people who joined left immediately after posting their character forms, but the real problem was those who showed up, contributed to the plot, interacted with characters, and THEN left. It screwed things up for all of us, wasted posts, and required basically rewinding time to get the plot back on track.
That being said, I'm looking for roleplayers who will stick around until the end, no matter what (though being busy due to school is fine). And, like the actual definition for the Casual Roleplays category says, good grammar and spelling is REQUIRED. I don't care if you're the most creative and interesting person on the planet if I can't read what you're trying to say. I know I sound like a jerk, but it really is a pain to try to figure out where you end your paragraphs if you don't use periods, or to understand the character's dialogue when every other word has a missing letter.
As for plot, I have millions. But only a few that are suitable for actual multi-person writing. (Most are more like short stories.) For this thread, though, I'd like to suggest one I reuse fairly often (in my head anyway): a group of teenagers is sent to an alternate dimension where they find out they are destined to have supernatural powers and to save that world. This one is set in a medieval kingdom, but where the rich have access to almost unlimited technology. They hold it back from the peasants, since technology means power. There is one royal who has been amassing wealth and recently created a robotic army. It has been raiding villages, killing thousands and ruining the lives of more, and someone needs to put a stop to it.
The interesting thing is that magic does exist in this world.
There will only be six teenagers, having powers corresponding to the following generic RPG classes:
Mage
Knight
Paladin
Rogue
Necromancer
Archer
I will not allow reservations until I have at least six people, at which point I will approve reservations depending on what personality you want your character to have and which I judge would suit you best. (Also, if I just leave it as "first come, first served" the Mage and Knight are pretty much guaranteed to be taken immediately, regardless of talent. I want some control at least.) However, if no one else is interested in the character you want and all six people are present to give the approval, you're welcome to it.
I hope some people will be interested in this; I'd hate to make yet another thread that goes dead immediately. I'll have character forms up once all the parts are distributed.
