[OOC] Mirroring Worlds, Reflecting Possibilities

I've been fine, a bit up and down recently... lacking in energy and stuff but looking forward to tomorrow and the weekend.
On that I'm away from Friday to Sunday afternoon. I'll have internet but not laptop so I can talk OOC but won't be able to do IC if we start!

Hey guys, sorry about being MIA for a while there, I was busy dog sitting and near the end, my motivation kinda tanked but I'm back home and back to my normal nonexistent schedule of stuff. ^^;

So...what else do we need to settle...? >_>

We need to settle on Phaylin and Cyrill's relationship, and perhaps their specializations. :D

Btw, Cyrill looks awesome! And now that I'm home, I wanna do some more photoshop to my kiddies. :3

I think Phaylin would be into rune magic, so if you wanted Cyrill to be into mixing runes and potions, I'm fine with that. Though there's no reason why both wouldn't be proficient in both areas, in some regard. I also figure, we could make them neighbors, possibly childhood pals? Maybe travel the area and research magic? Maybe their parents helped pioneer the discovery and experimentation?

I think Cyrill's specialty would lie in potions, but I do think he'll need to be somewhat proficient in runes in order to make the more complex brews. Also, Fern and I had Keir and Emmy be childhood friends, so maybe we can go for a slightly different dynamic? Like partners? They could still travel together and research magic that way.

Oh, and what would some of Phaylin's traits be? Just so I have an idea of how Cyrill will be like with her. X3

Well with FernStone, we're doing partners/coworkers already, I'd hate to have the same dynamic there.

i think Phaylin would be into the four main elements of magic but I think she'd be more into runes as well as seeing if vocal spells have any effect on magic. Is that what you mean?

Oh, that's true! Hm.. then maybe they could have some sort of rivalry? Rival researchers trying to outdo each other on everything? That could be fun too. If their parents are pioneers, then they would be competing to uphold their family's name.

And I meant personality wise, haha.

I did list her persona already, I'd rather keep it more concise though.

Rivals are alright with me though it shouldn't be too toxic, after all if people don't like one another, there's little keeping them from just going off on their own.

But it'll be a friendly rivalry, of course. They might bicker or butt heads often, but they actually do care for each other. In Cyrill's case, he would say he's just 'keeping his enemies close,' but in truth, he likes her company and appreciates how she challenges him.

Alright, that would be fine with me then. Something light, like a mix of rival and friends, then that's fine with me.

If we are ready to start, I assume we would want to do so with the discovery of a mirror shard.

In terms of posting and ascetics, would we want to use character banners and a line break like - - - for change. Or would we want to use location banners for where each person is? Or just keep formatting out of it and just keep to - - - for separation. I'm fine either way but I figure we may as well be consistent about it.

I don't really mind in terms of posting - though I can do anything fancy till Subday cause I'm on my phone which makes things a bit more difficult at the moment. But I seriously don't mind, whatever you guys would prefer.

Haha, I like it when things looks pretty, so I'd say yes on banners. :P
If anything, I can try to whip them up. What would we want on them?

@FS: No worries, just thought I'd ask since some people do it and others don't. ^^

@Chezka: I figure we could always make our own, but maybe use the same general template for uniformity? Then we can probably have fun and collab for bigger events like when we're world jumping. :3 It would be cool to all have input on the big sort of chapter-like banners. I think if we used pictures and characters, it might make things nice and pretty.

And as everyone knows, appearances totally matters in life. XP

What if we did a simple width of 500 and a height of 100 pixels?

Sure sounds good! 500 by 100 sounds good - I'll make mine Sunday, when I get home, or Sunday. I've never done banners for a roleplay before but it sounds fun... Collab sounds good as well though you guts will probably be better at the banner making
