Well, sort of.

I want to stick with the idea of self regulation. But if that can't be maintained in a logical manner, then I'd need to implement a system.

It would something like this.

There will be three main Stat, Health, Skill, and Focus.

Health deals with anything concerning the body such as defense, strength, regeneration, and power.
Skill will deal will dexterity, speed, agility, technical proficiency, and well, how skillful one is.
Focus on the other hand, would pertain to concentration, senses, control, mental fortitude, and the like.

Let's take Rem's ability for example, the Bomu Bomu no Mi.

Bomb Fist [Health] - An explosive punch. Literally.
Bomb Cannon [Healthx2] - The explosive power of Rem's punch is cannon-like in strength.
Bomb Gatling [Health + Skill] - Rem delivers a barrage of exploding punches.


So from Rem's technique list, he'd have a total of 2 Health and 1 Skill. In terms of Technique damage, Bomb Fist would do 1 damage while the other two would deal 2 damage. But if their target has a defensive technique such as Thick Fat [Health], which has 1 point in Health, then Bomb Fist would deal 0 damage and the other two techniques would only do 1 damage.

If it's too complicated of a system, I can come up with a more detailed on in like 4 to 5 hours.

Well, it is an interesting way to balance out combat that much is for sure. But, I need some things cleared up. So, stats, Gurikari and Zaminri would be considered stats because they are named weapon. Would they be combined into one stat or would they be two stats? As for Kumokenryu, would it be considered a stat if I wanted it to be?

Now for the techniques. It seems simple to understand but I have questions about a few of my abilities. Mirror Image, for example, would be a skill tech due to the presence of quickly moving attacks? But, couldn't it also be a focus tech because it would require precise movements? Twin strikes would be a offensive health tech and that much is obvious. Saikuronkōn would be an offensive and defensive health tech due to the fact that it can act as both an offensive and defensive stance. Kaze no burēdo on the other hand, could be considered a purely offensive health tech. But, couldn't twin strikes be considered a double offensive health tech?

As for stacking moves. I am not quite sure how that would work for some of Vis's techs. Saikuronkōn and Kaze no burēdo are an example of this. They are sort of 'finished' moves which don't seem to have any possible stackings. Meanwhile, Mirror image and twin strikes can have skill, health, and focus stackings. For example, mirror image could stack with a offensive health to create a move which hits harder while both blades move as if mirroring each other. Twin strikes could take another health focus to increase the damage of the move.

Thinking it over, the initial system I suggested seems incompatible with the current setting of the RP. This is more of a sandbox-esque story and the system I showed you guys was something that was made for an RP with a pre-determined plot. Its applicability to the latter parts of the story is something that I do not see.

So instead, I'll think of something else.

I want Edge to grow up as he is a teen and not be so.... blood wanting. One that will inturn die for his comrades. And should the crews be allied for now or something i don't know.

And i finally came up with a technique... Fureru Kemuri (Smoke Touch) It grants Edge the ability to turn objects into smoke and change back into the solid form. Biggest thing he is capable of doing this to, is his sword.

I wouldn't mind there being a "Ranking" System. Something like this.
Strength Tiers:
Captain. (Luffy-esque)
Monster (Zoro esque]
Intermediate (Sanji, Robin, Franky.)
Medium (Chopper, Brook.)
Average (Nami, Usopp.)

Do note that this is in terms of raw power. Not in terms of wit, nor who would win in a fight. A person on the Average-Strength tier can beat a captain strength with tactics and tricks.

I think that'd be pretty cool, but I don't think there's be anyone in this RP wthin the lower tiers of that list.
