Lance is built muscularly, yet lean. He is a rather big guy, but not so much that he seems bulky. He usually was seen wearing his marine uniform with a lot of pride, what made him stick out from other marines was the red bandanna on his forehead. Now, as a renegade of the marines, his outfit cosists of a pair of ripped denim pants, a white top, brown leather gloves and a double layered jacket that goes down to his waist. He wears a beanie now. He still wears his bandanna around his forehead to under the beanie, part of the bandanna beaks out from under the beanie. He still carries a leather sheath on his back that he uses to holster his axe. On his neck hangs Dogtags with the name crossed out and with jolly rogers etched into them.
He occasionally wears aviators.
Bounty: 20 Million for desertion.
Personality:Lance is headstrong, competetive and incredibly gifted, the two first traits are rather odd for a Shaman to possess. He will always be up for a challenge, not to prove himself to others, but to prove to himself that anything is possible. Lance comes off as somewhat arrogant, and even a little bit mean, but that lies in his discipline. He likes things to be organized and neat around him, and he quickly finds order in chaos. He is incredibly loyal and honorable and holds great respect for all things, both people and nature, and does not tolerate someone who hurts the innocent, nor hurts nature.
History:Born on a dissolated island in the Grandline, Lonll Taadow was born to the Trib'an tribe. A tribe of people with extrasensory abilities to feel the energies of nature. To feel disturbances in nature and to feel the need to fix these disturbances. They live on their island secluded from the rest of the world in peace, one with nature. However, many years ago, long before the Great Era of Pirates, before anyone had ever even heard of a man named Rogers, there was a man who had gotten stranded on the island. And was taken in by the natives. He was nursed back to health by the Trib'ans, and he was taught their ways, to spread their teachings to the rest of the world, so the world could live in harmony with nature, like they did.
But the man left and would go on to make a martial arts known for how lethal it was with their teachings. In more recent times, however, two ships were battling off of the coast of the Trib'an Island, still secluded and still at peace. The ships were both heavily damaged, and were both sailing for the island. One of them was a marine ship, the other was a pirate ship. The marine ship was sunk before it could reach shore, leaving the Trib'an people to face the pirates, whom they had no clue would mean them harm.
The pirates attacked the natives, whom were not used to combat were proven to be little match for the Hundreds of millions of bellis worth of pirates. But as they were about to pillage a village where a certain young woman lived, the pirates were attacked by a member of the marine ship. The marine alone fought of the dousin of pirates, using techniques that was familiar of the Trib'an's own understanding of nature, however, the marine was injured and could not return home directly, but instead stayed on the island until he would fully recover.
It took him four years to fully recover, and by then, he had a two year old son, Lonll Tallow, with one of the natives. Lonll was a pretty regular boy in his infant years and his father, James, was in his life always when he was very little. But James had responsibilities, so his father had to leave, promising to come back and protect the Trib'an people as gratitude for them taking care of him, and gifting him with a son.
Three years later, James with his new position as rear admiral had arranged for a marine base to be built on a small island outside of the Trib'an Island. Lonll met his father several times a year, whenever his father was in the base and Lonll would do anything he could to get to the base, because when he was old enough, he was gonna become a hero, just like his father, a great protector of all, both people and nature.
James told his son that he did not want the marine life for his son. That he did not approve of him joining the military, and as such would not teach him the Rokushiki. He wanted Lonll to become the leader of his people, the next head of his tribe, become a powerful shaman and a wise leader, help the Trib'ans and the world government to work together.
But Lonll had different ideas. He became a warrior of his people, a hunter and a tracker. He trained day in and day out, both his body and his mind. To stand on his own legs, and work with nature to help him move quicker.
The art of becoming a fully fledged Shaman.
When he was 14 he set out into the waters, looking for a seaking. And boy, did he find it. The seaking ripped apart his little boat and almost ate Lonll up whole, giving him a nasty scar on his right side. It took him two weeks to heal from his wounds, even while being treated by the islands best medicine man.
He began building a new boat, sharper harpoons and tighter knitted ropes. This time he was going to get the monster, and prove he was capable of being a Shaman, that he was strong enough. He set out to sea, and the monster showed it's ugly face for Lonll, once again. But this time, Lonll made sure to calm his head before throwing the harpoon in his hand. He saw the beast traveling under the water, coming towards him to consume him like he was another piece of prey. But as Lonll focused, he felt the water around him, splashing against his skin, and for a brief moment, he swore he saw the world through the Sea King's eyes. And as if the monster realized that Lonll was a friend, he submitted and let Lonll pierce his skin with the harpoon, ending the old Sea king's physical journey.
With the Sea king being brought back to his village, to give his people food for a entire month, the kindness of nature and the sea king itself was praised, and Lonll was recognized as a fully fledged Shaman.
Soon after, he would decide to leave the island, against his father's wishes, and join the marines. He was sent away to the south blue, the trip there was long and taxing, even on a Marine Cruiser. But once he arrived, he was for one incredibly sick, as he had come down with the flu on his trip, his immune system not used to the environment away from his home island.
Soon, however, he recovered, and would begin his Marine training, in combat, he proved to be vastly superior to the other cadets, but in understanding of the world, tact, social skills and strategy he was behind his fellow cadets, which sparked Lonll's interest. It was his commandig officer, Commander Grahm whom saw his potential and decided to take the cadet under his wing. The Commander taught Lonll the ways of the marines with private lessons, taking a huge interest in the boy's specific abilities and his ability to sense and, to some degree, communicate with nature.
Grahm watched Lonll rise in rank, and it was when he was about to become a petty officer, the first officer tank, that Grahm, now a Captain, decided that calling yourself Lonll Taadow wasn't gonna cut it for a Marine. His name was as such changed to something much simpler, “Lance” was what he became known as, and soon everyone had forgotten his original name, of course, Lance himself didn't forget, oh no. He held hard to his roots, hoping to connect them to the new world he was put into.
The years went by, and the boy turned into a man, Grahm rose in ranks at just about the same speed Lance did, the two performed amazing feats all around the four blues, and eventually even in the grandline. They solved hostage conflicts, and even had a hand in making sure the supporters of the world Government came out on top in a few weaponized conflicts. Graham would over time teach
Lance the Rokushiki, and watch the young man train his body further and push past his own limits everyday.
But the new ushering of the age of piracy was worrying for the higher-ups in Marineford, and the charged Vice Admiral James Tailwind, Lance's father, to find a young officer whom would be willing to be stripped of his rank and become a pirate. To go undercover and control the seas, keep a watch on the other rookies. Because if the World Government had learned anything from Luffy and the rest of “The Worst Generation” was to never underestimate rookies.
James chose Lance after much consideration and internal conflict. Believing the young man strong enough to handle both the life of piracy, but also the hardships that would come his way, that the young man would stand strong in his convictions and always remember his purpose.
Lance was framed for blowing up a base he was visiting in the east blue, and was believed to have deserted the Marines, giving in to the animals in his head and his primal nature and become a savage of the seas, a pirate.
For the first time in his life, Lance feels like an outcast, and he is not quite sure what life has in store for him now, under the black flag.
Abilities: Lance is a tracker, a communicator with nature. He can feel every little change in nature, be it a change in airpressure, or a underwater earthquake, he will know it before anyone else. His senses are razor sharp, making him incredibly alert and very difficult to sneak up on. He holds great compassion for animals and plants, like he could hear their thoughts. This makes him a superb tracker and hunter, it also increases his combat prowess. Lance is very skilled in fighting with the typical tribal weapons, such as spears and tomahawks.
Lance also has almost an entire decade of Rokushiki training under his belt, while he's trained his body to handle the techniques, he's put his own spin on most of the techniques, altering their strength, or their purpose. His uses of the Rokushiki are a lot less lethal than that of other, more adept Rokushiki users.
Techniques: Soru: Lance pushes the muscles in his legs to their limit for a brief moment, tapping the floor incredibly quickly, allowing him to move quicker than most people can see.
Shigan Kyanon:
Lance uses his entire front arm and hand whenever he uses the Shigan, as opposed to just a finger, making his hit more like a cannon ball, than a bullet, the technique strikes with blunt force and not with penetrating force.
Geppo Tenshi:
Lance is able to leap multiple times in the air, like every other user of the Rokushiki, however, Lance has the unique ability to glide fly with this technique, Lance claims it's because his mind is light, allows him to be lifted by the wind.
Tekkai:
Lance hardens a part of his body to the same density as metal. He can't move while using this technique, making it a strictly defensive move.
Rankyaku Iguuri:
Lance is capable of using the regular Tempest Kick, but he uses the technique with his tomahawk instead, leading to a more compact technique with more precise slicing capabilities.
Kami-e:
Lance has very little mastery over the Kami-e, but instead relies on his senses and reflexes to dodge attacks, the technique only makes him slightly more limber. He generally uses this technique to scope out an opponents techniques before striking with one of the other techniques.
Rankyaku Kyanon: Lance's most powerful technique, it's a mixture of the Rankyaku and the Shigan Kyanon. His entire front arm act as a cannon that fires a devestating high-powered wave of airpressure that breaks through everything in it's path.
