[OOC] Romance Dawn - A One Piece Roleplay

To everyone that is a part of this roleplay, I would like to apologize, but the problems I have mentioned a few days ago have completely resurfaced. With this, I believe I won't be able to do updates for an indefinite period. As of now, my presence in the site will be intermittent, but eventually, I will not be able to go online anymore.

I have spoken to a few players, and they suggested that I look for someone to take my place as acting GM for the time being, but I am unsure if any are willing to. For what it's worth, if anyone is interested, feel free to post so or send me via PM.

Again, my deepest apologies to you all.

Wellp, I am willing to be a GM so long as anybody else is willing to be a co-GM. I am only requesting a co-GM so that I don't get caught up in work and somebody isn't here to cover for me. Also, it is sad to hear about the surfacing of these issues. I've had the same problem every now and then.

I don't really think you have anything to apologize for. Stuff happens that might make continuing to GM an ordeal and that's understandible. If anything, we should be thanking you for sharing such a good idea with us all. This is one of those few times where I'm actually genuinely excited for an RP, rather than using it as a way to waste some time.

So once again, thank you for even starting this to begin with, I hope you're able to deal with all of your problems alright.

Perhaps you could join when order is established. As for me, I'd love to co-GM but I don't have enough time nor knowledge about the one piece world. It's been over a year since I've read the manga I think, so I'm relying on the wiki to remind me about certain things.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to join this though. I agree with Thanatos in that this is probably one of the few RPs that has had me genuinely excited, and I would absolutely hate to see it die. :(

i was trying to come up with techniques and i came up with loads but Dawnstar, i thought of an awesome tag technique. I like explode into a cloud of smoke, like a smoke grenade, then you do you wind strike. i don't know why, i thought that was awesome.

That sounds like a great idea! Democratic gming, and as Dawnstar said, he can be the GM as long as he has a co-GM. Well, if everyone is the co-GM, then it all works out!

As for the tag team ability, don't forget that dawnstar isn't the only one with wind based attacks ;)

Aye, no need to apologize man, we all encounter problems that prevent us from doing anything. Hope these problems go away and you're able to return.

I have no knowledge of being a gm nor entirely good with coming up with plots and with me being a player, might make me bias.

Don't think that's something Jabber would've accepted but I'm not really sure. Sounds like it would be a good thing to surface later. Maybe just go about as a rookie pirate for now and when jabber returns and oks it, then reveal yourself as a marine captain?

All the good undercover people always reveal it late in the game when it meannns the mooost after all.

Absolutely, mystery is something of my forte, hah. He wouldn't come out the gate as a Marine, more like an Ex-Marine turned pirate.
So, I wouldn't be hung by the neck for submitting a sheet, would I?

Look. Jabber is currently "away" create you're character and as a role players of this story we shall take a vote. That seems to be the most fairest and easiet way to deal with problems at the moment

So basically, it would be like turning you into a propelled weapon. The wind blade would carry towards the target at a high speed and you switch back to a physical or partially physical form to hit the opponent. Then again, you might not even have to enter a physical form. As a logia user, you should already have control over your logia and be capable of compressing the smoke into a dense ball. Then, the wind blade would send you flying and you would impact into the opponent. Hmm, this dense ball would also have a semi-physical state which means it could become a triple tag team move with Rem applying some sort explosive excretion to the ball. That way, when it impacts it would explode with out causing damage to you. All it would do is spread out the particles of the smoke which a logia user like you can just pull back in at any time.

Well, you could make a captain or a Nakama. It doesn't really matter right now if you were late. The only difference between the two would be the quality of the sheet. A nakama doesn't have to have the best quality while a captain would have to have better quality. This means that you can give us a two or three paragraph history on a Nakama character but the Captain would have a three to five paragraph history. There is a lot more to tell about your character if he is a captain than if he is Nakama. You also have to consider fighting styles. A Nakama wouldn't have a fighting style like Santoryu but a Captain would be capable of doing that. Plus, some Captains the Marines have devil fruits while a Nakama isn't likely to.

(Side note: A nakama is translated to crewmate in one piece.)

Can we agree that Vis's technique, Sutoraiku! Kaze no burēdo, wouldn't have defeated Moto Moto? Injured him, yes, but not likely to knock him flat on his butt. I just need a confirmation on this from everyone so that I can continue the posting for Vis.

Moto moto is known for his ability to withstand attacks of any sort, but perhaps you could injure him a teensy bit, yes.

I kinda scrapped the Marine thingy, since I saw we already had a Skyperson.

Going for a more lighthearted Devil fruit user, should be a crewmate rather than a captain.
