Most Curious indeed" Willis said a little baffled by Lucifers sudden reaction, if the boy wanted to call Liz master then that was his Buissness but Willis was curious all the same "Strange times breed strange people it seems... Do you think we should go see whats wrong with him? It would be a shame if he caused harm to himself and was unable to create more of these potions. What do think Liz?"

"Yes. I agree. We should check on him. I wouldn't want him to hurt himself because of me. I wonder what has him so upset." Liz said as she finished the thermos. She hoped it helped. She really wanted needed the extra boost today. She stood to her feet and hurried in the direction Lucifer had gone.

Trying to distract himself for the time being, Lucifer had started looking to restock the take-away cups and was on his way back out towards the counter again with a stack of them in hand when he noticed that someone was approaching the direction of the room he was in. "Um, th-this is an employees-only zone, you know." The cat-like male sighed. "I can't keep letting clients b-back here or Rianne will get mad at me..."

"I don't want to get you into trouble." Liz assured him. "I just wanted to make sure that you were ok. You seemed upset when you left. We were worried that you might be in need of assistance."

The boy shook his head, smiling a bit nervously. "I'm fine, really. Just a little confused is all. I assure you that it's nothing major." He paused for a moment to adjust the cups in his arms. "I tend to do a lot of experimentation in magic, so sometimes I end up in slightly strange situations with little warning. But that just means that I need to do more research into the subject that brought me there." He could feel one of his ears start to itch, but could only flick it a few times with his hands full. "Um...it's not really all that important for me to say, I suppose, but maybe...If you need an explanation, that is..."

"Well if you find yourself in a strange situation please seek is out. Willis is often on the streets wheeling and dealing. And I can almost always be found at the clinic. " she told the nou. "Your reactions make me nervous. I would feel better if you promise me that you will contact one of us if you need help."

Willis was silent up until this point as he was watching the door waiting for if Rianne, Lucifers boss, would come in. However she had not and Willis decided that if she hadn't already then she probably wont come in at all. Willis had still be listening to the conversation however and so he turned to face Lucifer "But of course if you wish me... Us to help you, you must tell us the full story"

"I'm sorry! It's not quite like that, really!" Lucifer's eyes widened slightly at Liz, suddenly realizing what he had probably made it sound like was going on. "I just...um...It's more little things that are off from time to time unless I really mess up, you see. Today, for example: I don't really know the cause of that yet, but I'm not entirely sure what other effects it may be forewarning of." He turned to Willis for a moment. "Based on past experience, there's probably been something important that I haven't yet finished, which brings a couple of possibilities to mind. I won't know for certain until tonight, though." Tail swishing, he shifted the cups again and turned back to Liz. "I'll gladly let both of you know how it goes, of course, Master. But you shouldn't worry too much right now; you have things that you already have to deal with, right? Sir Willis as well, I imagine."

"Yes there are many thing that I need to do. I really need to get back to the clinic. With that illness hitting the slums I really need to be available to the people. But I can't leave unless I know that you will be alright. My powers do not allow me to leave someone if they are sick or injuries in anyway." Liz told him.

"Well, I'm not injured as far as I can tell. And the only sickness I have is the forgetfulness disease as far as I know." Lucifer chuckled lightly. "So in that case, I won't keep you. Good luck in your work, though. Hopefully I'll see you two again soon? I'll likely be around if you need another boost or just another coffee."

"You will see me again. This cafe is close enough that I can take a break here without worrying to much about missing someone." Liz told him. "I will be checking back on you. I'm not convinced that your not hiding something," She glanced at the clock. "I need to get back."

"I understand, Master. I'm sorry for that, it wasn't at all my intention to cause suspicion." Lucifer smiled sheepishly as he continued toward the door to the counter in front. "I'll be looking forward to your return, though! Perhaps I'll have more answers for you then." Pushing the door open as best he could, he held it for the other two to go through before he would let it close.

Liz studied Lucifer. She wasn't sure that she believed him but she needed to get back to the clinic. But she would check back on him. His working close to the clinic would make it easier for her. She had a feeling there was more to the boy then he let on. "I'll be backplane to check on you."

Lucifer smiled and nodded, placing the cups where they belonged behind the counter. "Thank you for stopping by! We hope to see you again." He waited to make sure that he was no longer being observed, looking over his notebook again.

Taking a last, slightly sad look at the box, the pale man turned away and started walking back to his residence only to notice a familiar face on his way. "Hello there, Miss! I didn't think I'd see you again today!"

Liz looked up at the voice. At first she couldn't place the voice or the face. But when he tired brain caught up with her eyes she smiled thirdly. "Hello Lucifer. How was your day?"

"It went about as expected, Master! It always gets busier in the afternoons, but that's just how it works as people leave school and work and such, I suppose." The catlike man pulled his hat over his head a bit more as he answered enthusiastically. It was easier to just answer her questions immediately and clearly, it seemed, and he felt a lot less resistance as he spoke. The look of his face switched to one of mild concern as he took note of how she appeared, though. "Are you alright? The potion didn't backfire or anything, did it? Or maybe it just wasn't strong enough? You must have been doing a lot more than I thought today."

"I'm aright. The potion helped but I think it ran out an hour or so go. I was feeling pretty good until than. Now I am feeling utterly drained. I think I just need to eat and rest. I'm sure I'll bounce right back like I have before." Liz assured him. "I don't live far from here. I'm sure I'll be fine when I get there."

"I see." The pale man reached into his coat pocket to quickly draw out the small notebook he had earlier and scribble down a few things. "Well, for a first attempt, that wasn't bad. And now. I have a base time frame to work with for the future." Closing the book, he placed it back in his pocket along with the pencil he had been writing with and looked back up at Liz. "May I walk you home at least, Master? It's pretty late, and with the state you're in, it would make me a bit uneasy knowing that you were out here by yourself. Not to be pushy or anything, just...you know how it gets when it's dark...and if you're out of energy as it is..." He awkwardly attempted to scratch the back of his head as he rambled slightly, only to find his action blocked by the knit cap there. Oddly enough, the cream-colored cap was made to have its own decorative cat ear shapes at the top.
