It had been days since Blake had seen another person that wasn't trying to eat her. Well, aside from her twin sister Bailey, but it was getting rough. She sighed, leaning back in the rundown shack that had been home for the last week. She was sharpening one of her knives and she looked to her sister.

They needed to move on soon, get some supplies, try to find a bigger group again, but at the same time, she was hesitant. "Bay, we need to talk." She said, her eyes moving to the window. "It's been a while since the deadies have been round, and you and I both know it's just a matter of time before they come back."

She heard the groaning outside the house. Another stray, possibly, and she sighed. "I think we should get out of here. Try out luck heading west.".

She pushed her knife in her holster and picked up her shotgun, looking to see her 9mm in its holster as well. Blake was a good scavenger forthe most part, and she found a lot of useful things. She opened the door and pulled out her knife, shoving it through the skull of the inundead, but what she saw caused her to run back in and close the door, trying to bar it off

"Alright, time to go. Out the back, we have a horde coming." She said, grabbing her bag quickly and Bailey's hand.

"Once we find a tree we can climb, we'll start picking them off like the last time, but conserve as much ammo as possible." She informed as she began running with her sister.

[I will bring Rick into my next one as well.]

Bailey stood by the back window staring out between the boards. Two walkers were eating what looked like a dead deer and she wrinkled her nose in disgust. The virus had been loose for almost a year, and it had just been Bailey, and her twin sister Blake. She was starting to lose hope that they were the only survivors- and they wouldn't last much longer. She brought out her handgun and reloaded it with more ammo. She looked up to look at Blake when she addressed her. Bailey's eyes widened. "Leave? Blake- this is the safest place we've been in for awhile." She said, keeping her voice to a low whisper.

Bailey stood up and gripped onto her gun, her dagger tucked in her boot, and watched as Blake took out the walker with her knife. "I just don't think we sh-" She stopped when Blake shut the door and told her there was a horde. "What?" She asked. She went to look out the window and cursed under her breath. She grabbed up what ammo they had left and the food, slinging the bag over her shoulder. She took her sister's hand and ran with her. A walker came up beside them and with quick reflexes, Bailey punched the zombie in the face and pushed it to the ground, slamming her foot into it's head several times before running again with her sister.

When they found a tree, she climbed to the very top and looked down. The horde had followed them and now they had anywhere from ten to thirteen zombies clawing at the tree. "We can't get all of them, Blake." Bailey said, trying to catch her breath. "There are just too many, and we're real low on our ammo." Bailey said softly. She remembered their life before all of this, going shopping and going to the movies. Then her thoughts trailed back to Craig, she quickly shook the memory of him out of her head as she adjusted on the branch holding onto the tree tight. "Now what?" She asked, looking at her sister for any ideas. She was what was holding them together- Bailey couldn't have done any of this without her sister.

Blake hated the point her sister had. They were low on ammo, and even if they sharpened up sticks and got the close ones they were still screwed.

Thenit happened. She saw a crossbow arrow go through one and then she heard gunshots. "Bailey... Bailey, it's people!" She said, excitedly. "Help! We're low on ammo and can't get down!"she called to them, and she felt herself slip from the branch she was on. She saw a few more fall, and she let herself drop and took out her knife and took out a few.

It was a small horde in comparison, Daryl noted as he helped Rick and Glenn sift through the walkers. The others weren't too far off, getting ready to stop fir the night in a nearby shack, and after hearing a large group of zombies, they had left to see what was gojng on.

"Are you two crazy? Climbing up in a tree." Daryl asked, and Blake looked at him.

"Well, better up high than down low." She said, and she looked over the group. "Thank you though. I mean, we would have figured something out."

"Yeah, a good way to get yourself killed." Daryl muttered before looking to Rick. He had to admit though, they had tje right idea. Just the horde was too large, and he could see himself that they were kow on ammo.

"Where are you guys coming from?" She asked.

"The north slightly, trying our way around." he answered. "A bunch of walkers that way."

Blake nodded and looked to Bailey. Well, north wasn't a good idea at the moment.

Bailey was about to argue with her sister on how bad of an idea this was until she saw an arrow go through the head of one of the zombies. She groaned. "And they're shutting damned guns." She said. She followed suite with her sister, landing gracefully on the ground. A zombie grabbed her arm and she whipped around, throwing it into the tree and bashed its head in. They had finally took out the horde that trapped them up the tree. She glared over at the man who had the crossbow. "Not crazy- surviving." She said. Bailey looked at the group- it was the man with a crossbow, another who had on a beige officer shirt and jeans, a man and woman holding hands, a young boy, and an older man on crutches.

Bailey's heart dropped when the crossbow man said that the north was overrun- it seemed like they would never find a way out and somewhere safe. "I'm Bailey- this is my sister, Blake." She said, eyeing each one in the small group. "We didn't think there were anymore more survivors... not this close anyways." She said, glancing around. She shifted the bag on her shoulders. Her gaze shifted to Blake "Well, thank you..." She said and sighed. "Blake, we should go." She said. She knew these days people were hesitant about who they let in their group- and they had every right to be, too. The end days were here and there was nothing anyone could do it.

She opened the bag to make sure they had all the ammo and their weapons, but her eyes widened. "No.." She said, setting the bag down and looking through it. "My picture..." She said, shaking her head. "I've got to go back for it, Blake." She said. She had been carrying the picture with her since the epidemic broke out. It was a picture of Craig and her on the beach, posing in the sand and smiling, back when everything was okay, back when she was happy. "I can't go without it." She said, standing up. She took out her gun to have it ready, along with her dagger.

. . . . . . .

Rick and Daryl had gone out to scavenge for wood and food when they saw the group of zombies gathered around the tree. Looking closely, he could make out two female backs. "Daryl." He whispered, pointing to the direction. After Daryl shot off the arrow, he aimed his gun and shot, walking in that direction. He took out three easily and looked over when the girls dropped down. They started taking out a couple more zombies. After they took out that group of walkers, Rick placed his gun back in its holster and walked towards the girls' with Daryl by his side.

"He's right- a tree isn't the smartest idea." Rick said, examining the girls for bites or any signs of being infected. When they mentioned leaving, Rick towards Daryl. He was about to let them leave, but he had to learn to trust- these days especially after the Woodbury incident it was hard. But he shook his head. "No, it's too dangerous. I can't have someone else's life be taken, and have it on my hands." He said, looking towards Maggie, Glenn, and Carl. Carl looked up at his head, then at the two girls. "Let's give them a chance, Dad." He said Maggie, Glenn, and Herschel both nodded as well. "Let them tag along, we need all the people we can get." Herschel said, leaning on the crutches.

"It's settled, then." Rick said, looking over at the girl named Blake. "Don't try anything funny." He said, then looked towards the other sister. "Let the photograph go- it's gone." Rick said. Bailey shook her head. "It's not just a photograph.. it's a good friend of mine.." She said softly.

Blake looked to Bailey as everything ensued, and when Bailey said something about the photo, she sighed. All Blake needed was around her neck. Dog tags from her closest friend, her only friend really. Bailey was her sister, but the friendship she had with Zeke was one no one understood. He had been the first one she saw turn, the first one she killed, and the one whose knife she was using. She had gone cold for the most part after that, but recently she began warming up again.

When Rick said to leave the picture, Blake shook her head. They were talking, and Blake headed back, before most noticed because of the Bailey and Rick affair. She knelt down just by the back door of the shack and picked up the photo, shoving it in her pocket before she felt clammy hands grab her arm. She barely flinched as she stabbed the creature between the eyes and headed back.

She walked over to Bailey and placed the picture in her hands. "It's not gone. Just hold onto it a little better." She said, placing a kiss to the top of her sister's head. Then she turned to the others. They were going to take them in for now. "I guess this is it, we're joining you? No questions or concerns?"

-

Daryl hated this. More people meant more man power, sure, but it also meant more liabilities. More mouths to feed. More a lot of stuff, and he wasn't sure he was ready for that after Woodbury.

He sighed, watching everything go down, but Blake slipped away, and he followed her, but at andistance. He watched her effortlessly take out a walker. Perhaps they did know what thwy were Doing. He headed back before she noticed him and when Blake spoke, he looked to her.

"We have plenty of them. Obviously, if you two have stayed alive this long alone, you two have something worth gaining." He said before the introductions went around, and Daryl looked to them. "So, which way were you going?"

"Heading west, perhaps north later." She said.

Daryl nodded. "Rick, what now?"

Rick sighed and shook his head. He didn't notice when Blake slipped away. He knelt in front of Bailey. "Hey, calm down, we'll get the picture, okay?" He said. He thought back to how he wish he had a picture of Laurie, Carl, and him, but he didn't. He glanced up and narrowed his eyes at Daryl. He watched as Blake passed her a picture, which Bailey took and held to her chest, thanking her sister. Rick turned towards Daryl, then at the girls. "This is Maggie and Glenn," Rick pointed to where the couple stood, watching, "That's Herschel..." Bailey interrupted him as she looked towards him.

"What happened to your leg?" She asked him, noticing he was missing one. "I was bit by a walker, back at a prison we were at." The elderly man said and looked towards Rick. "Rick here chopped it off before the infection could spread." He said. Bailey looked towards Rick in awe. "You did that?" She asked. Rick nodded. "We look out for each other- and we expect the same for you two." He said. Bailey nodded. "We will, we're loyal people." She said, still clutching onto her picture. She looked over at Blake and thanked her again.

Rick nodded. "And this is Carl, my son." He said, putting his hand on the shoulder of the boy, he looked about fourteen years old. "Hey." Carl said, a grim expression on his face. When Daryl asked him what to do now, he looked at everyone in the group, including the two new girls. "For now we'll set up camp. It's getting dark and we don't need to be traveling. "We've got shelter right down there." Rick said, pointing behind Glenn and Maggie. "We'll board it up and have two people on watch and switch." He said. He motioned his head to get everyone to fall him as they made their way back to the shack.

Bailey looked over at Daryl, and his crossbow. "Isn't that a bitch to carry?" She asked, slipping the picture in her bag before they started walking. "I mean, it's badass and all, but it had to weigh a ton." She said.

When they got there, there were two walkers, Glenn and Rick took them both out easily and directed everyone inside. Rick worked with Glenn and Carl boarding the windows up. "Who is going on first watch?" Rick asked, setting his sun down on a nearby table. "I'll take it..." Bailey said. She wanted to earn her place, and taking first watch would help.

Blake waved to everyone as they got introduced, and she gave a sigh as they walked towards the shelter they had. Blake had remained quiet for a while, her knife back in its place and her hands in her pockets. She was going to observe for a while, but when watch came up, her sister volunteered before she could so she backed off. Blake didn't sleep much as it was, but when Daryl volunteered with her sister, she knew she would be alright.

Daryl came off like the type that could handle his own. And that put her at ease, but it also made her wonder. This group was pretty solid, hence how they had survived, but she still wondered. She walked about, examining tue area around their shelter before she felt a hand on her shoulder. She had her hand on her knife before she saw it was that Maggie woman.

"Sorry." She apologized, "been more jumpy lately." She said before she moved her hand and Maggie waved it off.

"It's alright. Come on, Rick wanted to talk to you. Said you seemed anlittle distant." She said.

"Just trying to figure things out." Blake said, "And trying to learn to trust. Nothing against you guys, but we are all still strangers." She said.

--

Daryl looked to Bailey. "Not really a bitch. It's effective and quieter than guns." He said. He was always better with hunting than anything, so this was his element, despite the world being in ruin.

He offered to take first watch with Bailey, and after they got situated, the silence over came them. "So," he began after a few minutes, "it's just been you and your sister?" He asked her before he turned his head from her to the area around them. They needed a new place, one that was more stable, like the prison was.

His mind was heavy, like it always was. They had lost so many people, so many lives they saw just gone, and things were going more to hell each day.

Rick was cleaning and loading the guns before he glanced up at Blake in one corner of the room, away from everyone else. "Maggie." He said, looking at the girl standing next to Glenn by the window. She walked over to him. "Yeah?" She asked him, kneeling down so she was facing him. "Can you go talk to new girl? The older girl? I need to talk to her if they're going to stay.. they need to know how things are done." He said, not looking up from cleaning the gun. "Sure." Maggie said, walking to the older girl named Blake.

When she went to get Blake, Rick looked up at her. "Hey." He said, loading the gun he was working on and sitting it aside. "If you and your sister are going to stay, we should get to know each other. Can't be having a complete stranger coming along with us. I'm sure Daryl will talk to Bailey." He said, patting the seat next to him. He rested his elbows on his knees and stated ahead of him for a few minutes before looking at her. "How did you two survive this long? Has it always just been the two of you?" He asked her, truly curious as to how they survived so long.

- - -

"I believe it." She said. She always wanted to learn how to shoot a bow, but she just never had the opportunity to learn how, especially these last months. She was a little surprised Daryl agreed to go on first watch with her, but she didn't mind. At least he obviously knew what he was doing, just hopefully she didn't look completely stupid in front of him. She sat down outside on the steps as she stretched her legs out in front of her, a small gun beside her. Before the world went to hell, she had never picked a gun up, she hated guns, she'd use a pocket knife of pepper spray and she even had a tazer for protection, but she'd never pick a gun up, not until now.

When he asked if it had always been Blake and her, she nodded and shrugged at the same time. "Well, for the most part. There were others.. but we just always stuck to each other. One group we joined they.." She stopped before shaking her head and closing her eyes. "They were bad people, we didn't see it until it was almost too late. One night we were sleeping and they took me and offered me up to a horde of walkers outside the grocery store we were in. I fended a few off before Blake found out what happened. She saved me and we left that group, since then we never really joined anyone else." She said, sighing softly. "I felt so weak and useless in that moment.. I was too scared and traumatized to even help my sister with the small horde.." She let her voice trail off as she cleared her throat.

"Anyways.. how long have you been with Rick and the rest?" She asked curiously.

Daryl looked to her as she spoke to him. Opening up to almost a complete stranger. About how people had been horrible to her and her sister saved her. Even if it was just a small horde, that could have been more than enough to kill a single person, especially when trying to protect another. It wasn't hard to see that the older sister would die for her, and he could see it in Bailey that she wanted to repay her sister for it.

Her question made him think though. "A couple of weeks after it all happened." He said. "Our group was bigger, but we've lost a lot of them." He said, his mind wandering to the ones they had lost. "They're all good people, back there, even if we come off a bit harsh." He said.

"So, the thing with the picture..." he recalled, trailing off trying to think of how to qsk his question.

--

Blake looked to Rick as he spoke, and she nodded. That was fair enough. But his first question wqs one she dreaded. She would have to explain herself already. "It has been for a long timw now. Don't get me wrong, there have been others along the way, but after the last group a few months back, we haven't been in touch with anyone else until you guys came around." She admitted, her eyes travelling in the direction she knew her sister was in.

"They were bad people, the last group. Took Bailey while we were sleeping and offered her up to a horde of the deadies. They tried to get me too, but I have a bit of a hunting background, and I taught myself to fight, being as before it all happened I was in with some bad crowds. I killed two of them and once they told me where Bailey was I went and saved her. There were maybe a dozen of them, but I got through them... and ever since it's been us." She said.

"What about this group here? Did you guys just meet up along the way, or what?"

Bailey nodded at what he said. "I know very well about losing good people. We made some friends on the way.. they didn't make it, obviously.." She said softly, looking down. When he asked about the picture, she looked back up and over at him. "I know, it's stupid to get so upset over a piece of paper, but.." She said and reached in her bag, taking the photograph out. She handed it to Daryl for him to look at. "These days, those are all you have left. Memories just aren't enough, not for me anyways." She said, giving him a half smile. "That's Craig. He's my.. was my.. boyfriend before all this happened." She said. The picture was her in a red bikini Craig picked out and him in a pair of red swimming trunks. They were on the beach and behind them was the ocean, the sun shining down on the happy couple. She was hugging his waist and beaming at the camera, he had his arm around her shoulders smiling as well. They looked genuinely happy.

"He died right when things went bad. We were at the park, and he just.. he just proposed to me. We lived in a small town, so we hadn't really heard about the virus yet. I said yes, and went to the bathroom. Something.. a walker, grabbed me. Craig saw and he pushed the walker off me. I was confused to why this person, thing, looked so.. dead. It attacked Craig.. it was after me but Craig saved me. He just got bit, but I didn't know the consequences until after so we went back to my house, I was living with Blake, and she already knew.. she said we had to kill him.. put a bullet through his head. He wanted me to do it.. so I did.." She said and closed her eyes. She wasn't going to cry, not now. She couldn't appear weak. "Anyways." She said, composing herself quickly before staring straight ahead.
"You seem like you're tough." Rick said as she explained their last encounter with their last group. "None of these people are like that. Well.. we had one, Daryl's brother, we could be a real ass hole sometimes.. but he sacrificed himself for the group, its a long story. In the end he turned out to be a decent guy." Rick said, leaning back. "Glenn and Daryl, and even Carl, were together before me. I was a cop and was shot, bringing me into a coma for a few months. I actually died, this was at the very beginning of the epidemic, and I woke up confused to what was going on. I'm surprised I survived as long as I did, but I met good people. Eventually I found my way back to Carl and Laurie, my wife. She died back at the prison. I joined the group then." He said.

"There was more of us. Andrea, Merle, and others. They have all passed, though." He said, sighing. "It's just down to us now, well we've got a couple more people. One should be here tomorrow, Michonne. She's some character." He said, shaking his head at the African American female that was close to Andrea.

Daryl looked to her as she told her next story. It was tragic really, but it seemed like so long as these sisters were together they would be alright. He nodded when she stopped and he spoke again. "I lost my older brother." He said to her, looking out into the night.

"Merle isn't what you would consider to be a good guy, in fact even after it all blew up he was a racist sonofabitch that let his ego get in the way. He came back to our group after Rick handcuffed him to a roof in Atlanta for being out of line. Lost the key, so Merle took off his own hand. Anyway, he came back after the Woodbury affair, and he went to go save us, but..." his voice trailed off.

"I had just gotten him back, I showed him I was doing better, and then I found him. A walker... and I put him down." He closed his eyes trying not to remember Merle like that. "I owe it to the man that killed him, to kill him."

Daryl looked back to the camp inside. "Want to make a round around the area, make sure nothing is coming in another direction?" He asked her.

--

Rick's comment made her lips twitch into a smirk. "Maybe I am. I always thought I was just making the best of the worst possible situation." She said, and when he talked about his wife, she subconsciously grabbed hold of the dog tags around her neck. She wasn't readyto talk about him yet. Not yet. Even Bailey just got the run around when she asked how Blake was handling Zeke...

Truth was she wwasn't doing well, she was shutting herself off. She went totally cold adterwards, and she was just beginning to come back. Bailey needed her emotionally too, not just there.

She shokk her head. "I am sorry to hear about your wife, I know what its like to lose someone like that. Bailey does too, but we have different ways of handling things." She said, and she pulled out her knife and an old handkerchief from her back pocket and she began cleaning it off. "So, aside from this Michonne who else is there? I also was curious as to how things generally run. We are joining you, so I don't want to overstep any bounds."

Bailey listened as he explained to her about his brother Merle. "I'm sorry.. about your brother." She said. She couldn't imagine being without Blake. Merle sounded like an awful guy though, but from what Daryl told her in the end he ended up changing his life around for his brother, and risking his life for the group. "I couldn't imagine my life without Blake.. she's my rock, it sounds weird but.. she's kept me together when I thought I'd lose it." She said softly. "Especially after Craig and what happened a couple months ago..." She said softly.

She rested her hand on top of his. "Well, even though you might not really know me that well, if you need to talk without judging, I'm here." She said. When he asked if she wanted to scout the area to make sure it was still clear, Bailey nodded. "Sure." She said, smiling as she stood up.

- - -

Rick shrugged. "It happened a few months ago. Never really got easier, but..." He said. "I guess you'll just have to forget and move on." He said, holding back all the emotion in his voice. He cleared his throat and looked over at her when he asked who else it was. "Well.. it's really just us, and Michonne. We lost about everyone else." He said, thinking back to that virus that broke out in the prison, what drove them away and what made them lose to many good people.

He looked back over to Blake. "How's your sister taking things? She seemed real shaken up earlier..." He told her. He didn't particularly want anyone weak, there wasn't room for weakness, not these days.

Daryl gave Bailey half a smile, but said nothing in return to her offer. At least she still cared for others. That was always a blessing in disguise, and as they made their way around the camp, he spotted a couple of walkers, and he motioned to her, shooting his crossbow and kilking one, leaving the other for her.

He walked over and grabbed his arrow before they continued on their rounds before sitting back where they once were. He opened his canteen and took a sip before offering her some. "Its from the river a mile or two back." He told her before setting it beside her. "Watch will be switching after a while. Be sure to get some rest when we do switch."

--

Blake looked to Rick and shook her head. "Move on, yeah, forget? Never forget, even now... it is essential to remember." She said before silence befell her as she listened to his words. Then he asked about her sister.

"Bailey? Given it all, she handles things pretty well. She has some trouble letting go, but she never learned how to turn off like I did. Sometimes I wonder if she knows it's real, but she does, and she can defend herself and others when the time arises." She said to him before looking to her hands. "With the deadies anyway... people, the ones we actually have to fear, I don't know. I can kill, but Bailey I think still tries to see the good in people."

She sighed and closed her eyes, "Call it weak if you want, but I think believing that humanity hasn't totally gone to shit is strength, gives something to fight for."

Bailey followed Daryl as they scouted around the small house they found. Two walkers were making their way, stumbling towards them. Daryl took out one and Bailey grabbed her dagger out of its sheath and drove it through the side of the other walkers head, pulling it out and watching the rotten body fall to the ground. She wiped the dark blood on her jeans and headed back over to Daryl. Besides those two walkers, everything else looked fine and she joined Daryl in their previous spot.

She smiled when he handed her the canteen. "Thank you." She said, taking a small sip of it before handing it back to him. "You sure the water is okay? I've heard of people turning by drinking contaminated water or food, from the deadies blood." She said to him and stole a glance his way. His hair was dark and covered his eyes, but his arms looked nice, and she noticed his vest. It was black, sleeveless, and on his back were angel wings. She looked back away when he told her she should get some rest when the next people on watch came out. "Same for you." She said, giving him a small smile.

- - -

Rick wrinkled his nose as he looked away. "I disagree. Remembering makes you weak." He said, looking over at Carl who was talking to Glenn, Maggie, and Beth. Hershel lay in another corner of the room, snoozing away. "I have to be strong, for my boy." He said softly. "He's strong for me, so I've got to be strong for him. We're all each other had left." He said as he thought back to the rough times they've encountered together. Over the last year and a half, Carl really had grown into a strong young man, now he was only a couple years away from being sixteen, and even though it wasn't how Rick would imagine spending his teenage years with him, at least he wasn't worried about him rebelling and partying and getting a girl pregnant.

He looked back to Blake as she spoke of Bailey. "We've had to kill people.. to survive, to protect ourselves, and we're going to expect you two to do the same. These days.. it's hard to find people you can actually trust. We've had some that.. well, ended up being not who we thought they were." He said, thinking back to the lives he took, but wasn't proud of.

Daryl looked over to Bailey and nodded. He spoke, "We boil it." He assured her, and he leaned back against his elbows bedore speaking again. "So, have you ever killed anyone?" He askdd her. "And I don't mean someone who was already dead."

He knew he had to ask the question. It would be weighing heavily in Rick's mind he knew, and he knew that getting an answer was high priority. He had a feeling he knew already though, but he still waited for her answer. This was essential to building trust and a stronger group.

--

Blake sighed when Rick spoke, not about to argue with is beliefs on remembering. However when he spoke of killing she turned her head. "Somehow, someway, we're all forced to do things we wouldn't normally have done. Or we are forced to make choices we never would have made. Think about it this way though, is it better to find someone you know can kill with little thought or one who weighs the consequences?" She asked, looking outside. "I'll take next watch. I assume we're going to be switching watch duties soon?"

She got up and looked to him. "Nice talking to you, Rick. Better get some rest, unless you're next watch too." She said.

Bailey nodded when he told her they boiled the water. Made sense. His next question took her a little off guard. She looked away and bit her lip, sighing softly. "Just one. It was an accident though. A few months ago, I was still freaked about the de- walkers, and I was paranoid. Blake went on a run with a couple other people, so I was at our safe place with one other person. A girl just a couple years younger than me. Walkers were outside the gates, and their scratching, dragging, and groaning was in my head. I was in a corner of a room, a gun in my hand.. she came in and I freaked, I raised my gun and shot her through her head." Bailey said, recalling the painful memory. "It was the worse feeling I've had ever experienced.. killing someone still living." Bailey said, sighing.

"I wouldn't do it again, though. I can't do it again. I couldn't even when I came across the worse people, like the ones who tried to offer me up to the zombies.. killing someone already dead is one thing, but someone who is still alive with a heartbeat, that's another.." She said softly.

He listened to Blake. She was wise, and knew what had to be done to survive. Bailey might need some work, but he could see Blake could be a good asset to the group. When she brought up about switching watch, Rick nodded. "Yeah, it's about that time. I'll take watch with you." He said, going to stand up. Carl looked over at him and Rick just nodded, like they were communicating telepathically. He headed outside with Blake. "You guys get some rest." He told Bailey and Daryl.

Bailey nodded and stood up, looking over at Daryl and giving her sister a small smile before going inside.

Daryl listened to Bailey as she spoke. He found it almost odd that she was able to pour all of this out to an essential stranger. It showed her honesty, and that gave her a sort of purity that he hadn't seen even before things went to shit. It was refreshing in a way, and it gave her a sort of strength, at least he thought so.

Rick and Blake came over, and when Blake pulled Bailey aside, he spoke to Rick. "I think that they'll be good with us. Bailey may not seem like it at first, but she has a strength to her that will be good for our group. Might take her some time with other things, but she's got something there."

As he and Bailey headed in, he looked back and then spike to her. "Come on, we need to get some rest."

Blake pulled Bailey aside when she and Rick went to switch out for watch, and she placed a hand on her sister's shoulder. "I will be right here if you need me. And I think its okay to let these ones in. As much as I hate saying that." She said, placing a chaste kiss to her cheek. She watched her sister walk inside and she sat with Rick, her knife in her hands now.

She watched out into the darkness. It was nice, quiet, and she liked it, but with Rick sitting made the silence almost deafening. "How did you find this place?" She asked him.

Rick looked over to the two sisters. "If you say so, but I don't want to see no signs of weakness... that's what will bring us down." He said, thinking of Carol's words when they were at the prison. He nodded at Daryl. "You two go on in and get some rest. Blake and I are taking second watch." He said to him as he directed for Blake to follow him. "Let's scout around the house again and look around the edge of the woods. Just to make sure the area is clear." Rick said, glancing once more at Bailey as she went inside. He took out his dagger and held it tight in his hand, the other hand resting on his gun in case there was more then he was expecting.

"I'm okay, be safe, Blake." Bailey said, giving her sister a tight hug as she went inside the small cabin. Most of the group had fallen asleep, with Carl and Glenn and Maggie being the only ones awake, but from the looks of it not for long. Yawning, Bailey found herself a spot and sat down, looking over at Daryl. "Do you like it? Being around other people? I mean, do you trust them? Or trust easily?" She asked him curiously.

Blake looked over at Rick when he spoke and she nodded, taking her knife into her hand and she looked to him. She took point, out of habit, moving a bit further out from the house and she listened to everything around her. She saw two deadies up ahead, but they had been taken care of, but she heard some more. She turned in thatdirection and eeffortlessly killed the first one she saw. There were only three, and she took care of the other two just as swiftly before she listened in again.

"This area is clear for the moment, I worry about the back end though. The road is in that direction and most large hordes form by the road or in communal buildings. Should have seen the library when this first went to hell. Small town about eighteen miles outside Atlanta. That was interesting." She said, wiping her blade off in the grass.

She moved, standing side by side with Rick. "Sorry, I just got so used to taking point..." she apologize.

Daryl looked to Bailey when they sat down inside to rest, and he made sure his crossbow wasn't far off. He closed his eyes, but was still awake and he sighed when she asked.

"At first, I kept to myself, I hated Rick because of the Merle incident, but there was a woman with is.. Carol. Her daughter ran off, and I helped look for her, but we found her in Herschel's barn. They didn't want to kill any of the walkers at first, and her daughter was one. Needless to say, after looking for so long and having hope torn away... I joined the group more so then." He sighed, looking out to the sleeping group.

"I trust them with my life now. Rick may be brash, but he's a good guy. Honest, and a good leader." He said.

He leaned back. "Get some sleep. You're going to need it "
