Ok, character sheets reviewed.
Echo probably has links to the relevant docs they're in. Maybe Fallen too. Far easier to keep reviews there.
The docs in question:
cqbexpt - Rovelg
Rtron - Shol'va
If not, just ask us sometime we're on the IRC and we'll give a link. We'd rather not post the links here. Or if you're impatient, throw us a PM.
Hmm, not bad. Not as elitish as I was expecting. Sounds interesting!
I feel like joining, but I don't have a crazy amount of time to post. I was wondering how often do people post? Would it be alright if I posted once a day/every other day sometimes, while others I posted several times for a whole weekend (Some weekends, not all)?
If that's the case, does anyone have any sort of character they're looking for, or want someone that I can make a character related to? I love making new characters, of any gender, any background, and any personality. I haven't ever truly had a character that was related to another RPer's character, or knew them in some big way before the events of the RP... and I feel this RP is my chance to do something new like that!
I'm really looking forward to a brand new character, with a whole new history, in a whole world that they can actually interact in (Instead of all the other RPs where I get in almost one-liners, then everyone else forgets who each other are unless I was one of the first people who joined)!
I am going to admit... I haven't read very much. I glanced the rules, a few characters, and the CS itself. But I know enough that I am going to love it here!
So, the questions again (So they're not forgotten they were asked):
[Questions]
1. How often should I post?
2. Can my character have a relationship (Not necessarily related to, just having had a past) with someone?
3. Do I have to read everyone's characters.? (I'd rather read them as I run into them. There's just so many... and I'm not sure where to begin with all of that. lol)
First Edit
Alright, so... I've read the OP post. Very interesting indeed! I like the idea of these relics being bound to you, with the separation meaning illness then death. I already have a few ideas for a few relics in mind... two of which I have already started scheming would work for the basses of two characters I have in mind.
I'm reading through the lore now, and I just have to say... I LOVE how you mention height! I always forget to mention height in my RPs, and everyone with 10-12 year old characters end up being 6'2" or some crazy stupid stuff like that. I'm just now reading onto the Geography part, but I'm also waiting on the map to load. lol. The map is huuuuge, and amazing!
[More Questions]
1. How long should I wait to start asking to write up more lore?
2. You are allowed only one relic per person, right? Or at least, is that the norm?
3. I should write up a lore about the relics I use, as in, like a full biography around it, right?
4. Should I stop asking questions?
5. Should I slap you for telling me to stop asking questions?
6. Should I make a bigger notice that I have a strange sense of humor? No? Okay, I won't.
First thing you're gonna want to know is that posts are super long, numbering greater than six posts on average. As for frequency, I doubt you'll need to post once a week at this rate. When it speeds up once a day is probably good though.
Ahh, thanks for the responses Freeshooter! I edited on you though. Hehe. As for the post length... I can see it varies quiet a bit. My post length might sit around something like your last post's length. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, of course.
Also, another question... how do roleplayers interact with each other if our posts are so long? I haven't ever been in an RP where posts like that were successful... but, obviously this RP is working out, so I just simply don't know how it works.
I also read there's an IRC... uh... how do I access that? I haven't ever been real good about joining those, unless they stamp them in front of your nose (Like the one on these forums... but those don't work for me for some bizarre reason.)

1) Length Varies but general Casual rules apply.
2) Most posts are so long because they are collabs between one/two or more players.
3) Just click on the link and put in your name.
In terms of your previous questions:
1. How often should I post? 2. Can my character have a relationship (Not necessarily related to, just having had a past) with someone? 3. Do I have to read everyone's characters.? (I'd rather read them as I run into them. There's just so many... and I'm not sure where to begin with all of that. lol)
1) As often as you want... just not every 5 seconds.
2) Sure, go ahead.
3) I tend not too, like you I tend to read characters as I come across them, sometimes I don't even do that just to make them more mysterious.
In terms of your previous moar questions:
1. How long should I wait to start asking to write up more lore? 2. You are allowed only one relic per person, right? Or at least, is that the norm? 3. Should I make a bigger notice that I have a strange sense of humor? No? Okay, I won't.
1) Really until your character is selected, there are some parts of lore other people have gobbled up so always check before you ask to make changes.
2) One relic can bond to one person, no more than one can be bonded to someone at one time.
3) Maybe not a bio, the more complicated the relic the more detailed description it will probably need though.
4) No.
5) Can if you want, I use a personal forcefield.
6) What's a sense of humour?
What are you talking about we don't have a sense of humor Freeshooter? *Continues his search for his ban hammer* Oh wait, that won't work here will it... not used to that. (By the way, I'm not really Scottish.)
Thanks for the help guys!
I've attempted to connect to the IRC. I type in a name (Teknonick, ASDFg, sabfi3u5b, or anything else I think of at the time), and hit enter... then wait. And wait. And wait. Nothing ever happens. I tried it on my phone once, and it worked instantly... but other than that, I've never been able to connect to this forum's IRC. I have successfully connected to everyone else's IRC though.
Anyway! I have a character in mind now, which is one I haven't tried before. But, before I throw up my character...
1. Where is everyone? I don't want to drop my character into a situation that conflicts with my first few posts.
2. What season is it? Kind of important for designing my character's first set of appearance.
3. How many posts should I create, before running into everyone else? (I'm fine with RPing by myself for awhile, especially when no one else is posting for awhile.)
4. But really, how do I connect to this RP's IRC?

We'll answer the questions not already answered, as Freeshooter and Sep answered them fairly well.
Right now, everyone are in the City of Amaryth, in the nation of Othea.
The current season, while not clearly defined, is around early to mid-spring. The weather and climate in Amaryth (and much of Othea) keeps it all warm.
That is entirely up to you, but it is generally easier to encounter others quickly.
We would recommend checking out a non-mibbit IRC client. One that isn't browser-based. We can't say for sure why mibbit won't work for you, but it could be something like that the default port is closed on your computer. Or it could be something else entirely. Finding and correcting such errors is generally easier on less primitive IRC clients.

Such a dry post, no jokes! 0/10, would not read again.
Really, seriousness? Alright then, I'm out. *Waves ya out the door*
I'm about to head out in 30 minutes for a 2 and a half hour flight (Not to mention a one hour drive there and another hour back... ugh), along with some weather checking stuff I have to do, so no big posts from me yet (Talking about the CS.) I'll probably be able to post sometime about 6PM tonight. That's seven hours from now for those not living in the same area as I am.
Anyway, thanks for the help! I believe I now have enough information to start writing my character upon my return! I'll join IRC when I get back and share with everyone the bits and pieces of my CS for help in connecting it with other RPers ETC. type thing. Anyway, see ya'll IC soon!
Last question:
1. Should I stick with one character for now?

Relic Description:
... Relic of Willpower ...
The relic has the ability to change size, and stretch. It is also sentient, growing smarter, and more self-aware as it's power grows. It is a relic of emotion. Though not technically an emotion, the relic feeds off of willpower, growing stronger and stronger as the owner becomes more independent.
The relic has untold potential for the user. It's abilities are unknown, and may be revealed as time goes on.
It has been known to move from person's possession, to person's possession, trying to find the perfect person to bond with. Each person to have owned it has been known to suddenly lose it, just for another person to find and keep it for themselves. The relic is usually worn with pride, but without knowledge of it's existence, even if told by others.
No one has ever held the relic long enough to truly bond with it, were if someone had, they would start to feel the power behind it unfold around them. It would only truly speak to the person it has picked, if it was sure they are the person to bond with.

Biography:
Rose is the first born of Tomas, and Jade Domek. She has a younger brother, by one year, named Bartholomew. Jade is close to Rose, but hear fear of Thomas and Bartholomew keep her from speaking her true mind. Jade tends to act very subdued, and as such as taught Rose to act he same. Thomas is usually out of the house, doing business as a merchant. Bartholomew tends the stands whenever Thomas is at home, so there is always someone at the home to watch both Jade and Rose.
Rose acts very much like Jade, being subservient, and obeying every command from her father and brother. Her being the elder of her brother doesn't even affect her status. She strangely doesn't mind it, having been taught the only way she know's to live. If she were to suddenly be given freedom, and told she can do anything she likes, she would probably have a problem with it, and want to go back to the ways she was taught.
Rose eventually married a man named Neville Hafele, and took his name as was tradition. She moved out of her parents house to live with him, but life remained the same. He was much like her father and brother, being pushy, demanding, and abusive. Eventually his sales started to decline, forcing him to sell their house and move in with Rose's parents. Neville stopped making profits even after that point, and was forced to move on to a new town for better sales. He left his wife at home with her parents, knowing she wouldn't run away and leave him.
Rose's father and brother then started to lose money slowly. Not as fast as her husband had, but enough to lose the house if nothing was done to bring in more money. Rose offered to help, but they said no one would buy from a woman. They did settle, however, on letting her work at the local church as a maid. Rose worked at the new church daily, returning home before nightfall, every day, before curfew.
She enjoyed her work at the church, though still thought it strange the way she was treated differently. The church's priest, Christopher, was originally from Othea, where women have equal rights to men. He even had a few other priests under him he was teaching to be nicer to women, though some were still being broken of their habits. Christopher always tried to convince Rose to be stronger, but she turned away at the mention. Christopher had a plan, to teach her to be a priest like he. He knew no matter how much he tried, she would never be allowed to hold as much power as himself, but he still hoped it would spark something in her.
Personality:
Rose is extremely subservient, following the orders of any man. If a young child were to disagree with her, she would attempt to deal with the situation as lightly as possible. She feels the world is as it should be, especially since her mother has taught her to be so. Rose will not accept change in her personality, no matter who would try to convince her otherwise.
Relations:
-Jade Domek: Jade is Rose's mother. They are both very much alike, especially when it comes to their subservient ways as females in Kalnach. Jade has always obeyed her husband, and has taught her daughter Rose to act the same. Whenever Rose would do something she's not supposed to, Jade would try to punish her in the most gentle of ways. Were Rose's father to yell at their daughter, Jade would not step in. Nor would she step in if Rose's younger brother were to pick on her.
-Thomas Domek: Rose's father is a very dominating man. He feels women have no rights, and should be treated as property. Even though Rose was his first born, he dismisses that fact with hatred. He then had a second child, who was a boy. After that, he was happy to have a male heir to his name. He did not wish to have any more kids, as he would fear he might be cursed with another woman in his life. Rose's father is very close with his eldest son, Bartholomew. He teaches his son to act the way he does, and even lets him act towards his wife and daughter anyway he chooses.
-Bartholomew Domek: Rose's brother. He acts very much like Thomas in respects to control over women, and sees it fit to beat them if they are disobedient, as his very right. He tends to watch over the family like a hawk, making sure they do exactly as they are supposed to. He hates the fact that his sister was born before he, as he might have held more importance if he had been born first. He also picks on her about her going to church, though does not know about her secret teachings, which he would surely not approve of.
-Neville Hafele: He is Rose's husband. He is very generic, and acts very much like her father. He is a merchant, albeit not very successful. He does not see Rose as a wife, more as property. If he were to see another opportunity in marriage for more benefits, he would take the chance without a word to Rose, and disappear within the night.
-Christopher: Rose's biblical teacher. He comes from Othea for unknown reasons. He views women as equals to men, and holds religion above all else. If someone does not follow his belief, he allows them without question. But if someone were to be questioning their religion, or possibly need help, he would use his own as a way to guide them. He see's Rose as a strong women with great potential, and having grown up where she did as merely a lesson that should pass.
Final Point - Secrets: I currently don't understand this part.
Various Edits
App Edit 1: Just added a few things.
App Edit 2: Just fixed a few things.
App Edit 3: Added a little bit about relations. Still a WIP... had to stop because friends are inviting me to play with them. ;)
App Edit 4: Added more items to the Clothing Section. Can you tell which piece is the Relic? Also added a last name, added more to Relations, and cleaned up the format. There is also a brief description of the Relic itself... without naming names.
App Edit 5: Tons of edits! I think I'm done now!
EDIT: Just as a heads up, I'm looking for any tips. ;).
I'm also trying to connect to the IRC... but no such luck. I went over to blockaderunnergame.com and used their IRC, and swapped out their #whatever for your #thingymajig and I just entered a chatroom myself. I even downloaded mIRC and did the same... by myself. I feel alone here ;(
EDIT: WARNING! I like to edit posts and make them all colorful and shtuff when I'm bored.
EDIT: Hey guys, is this RP still active? I'd rather not work on my character anymore if no one posts at all. I know I said I didn't want to have to post a lot... but I'd like to see SOME posting. You know, like, at least once a month? lol.
