Michael Smith was called from the Augmented Reality room as a WREC sniper. "You're one of the WREC troopers. While Anya is under the knife, show them what you can do!" This was done to showcase what augmentation can do for humanity. After the mission and a few more autopsies, the science team would show off the gene trooper program as competition.

Alina Ivanova packed her weapons as she was getting ready to add herself to the group. It was quite a while since the incident. Also, she has plans to make sure the group won't be fighting over the spoils. That was a feeling the fresh rookies might do. Center decided to send her along with Captain Farhad Mehrzad. "Don't worry Farhad. J2K got me covered." The Iranian captain nodded in understanding and joined up in the Little Lady.

Three more reinforcements were to be added to the Little Lady in case of manpower dearth.

Packston, Otto an Lee mostly kept to themselves over the course of there breack. Otto was usually in the gym, working on his appearance, Lee was usually in the mess hall, stuffing himself anytime he could, and Packston was usually in the shooting range, trying out knew guns and what not. They had all recently been promoted, but Burkley was already an liueteniemt. Although Packston was happy for the man, he was wanted the he promoted also, he would have to work much harder on the next mission, whenever that was. Lee really did not care, he enjoyed the battle field and was not concerned about his rank. Otto only carred about his apperance to the ladies and to the public. Team LOP would continue to do this until the next mission or breifing came by.

Now that seven primary members were loaded on board, Center would radio all volunteers. "Ready to take down a dragon? The beast is down, but not out! So the Little Lady will get you all there ASAP. The drop ship will be ready within five minutes so brace yourselves!"

The hangar doors opened, with the Little Lady expected to leave and go at full throttle. "For anyone going for the last minutes, you'll have to squeeze right in! We'll have to go soon!" Large Cloud radioed in case of stragglers.

Sandwiched in between monstrous cargo planes and comparatively tiny helicopters , David crossed the expansive ParaCom runway. His objective, the Little Lady, sat tucked away near a hangar, with the occasional crewman or soldier stopping by every few minutes to either board the plane or perform a quick inspection. Due to the sheer length of the lot, it would take David at least a few minutes to reach the aircraft, which was just enough time to go over his equipment once more.

Slung over his shoulder, the young man's largely accurate, bull-pup submachine bucked with every step, making it the first aspect of his arsenal to be "checked off." Next came the standard-issue, semi-automatic Beretta he had grown used to during the time with the USMC, tucked away in a holster beside his right leg. After that was his combat knife, sharpened and sheathed, and, finally, his dual fragment grenades, which hung off the front of his utility belt.

Knowing all of his equipment was accounted for, David smiled, and approached the Little Lady. Once he'd clambered up the plane's stairs, he scanned the seating area, eventually finding an empty seat. Being the socialite he was, he was quick to introduce himself to everyone onboard before sitting down, and was soon familiar to the rest of his squadron. Now all that was left was to reach Philadelphia.

Center examined the crew. Mostly assaults, which is perfect for the mission. Technically, the mission is storming the castle, dragon included. After some finishing touches, Center gave the green light and told Alina and Farhad that they were not needed for the mission. Michael Smith could use his talents as a WREC sniper and thus joined in. The move was done to show what the WREC program can do for the troops.

"Handle the mission with discretion! Take deep breaths before going in for the kill." Once the ideal troops were all aboard, the Little Lady flew into full throttle, going to Philadelphia in a matter of minutes. Large Cloud was able to make some keen observations about the town. Though normally Philadelphia was bustling, full of crime and chaos in certain areas, something must have been done to make people stay indoors. Perhaps a paranormal strike team may have killed any that dared to oppose them, as assumed from the observations that the pilot has made. This was incentive that the ParaCom operatives need to kill all paranormal forces in the area as soon as possible. "Landing just a bit outside of the city. We're going right for the lion's den!" The group has landed in a position where they can storm the crash site. "Center, this is Large Cloud. We just landed north of the crash site." "Acknoledged, Large Cloud. Loud and clear. The team is free to storm the castle." The dragon itself was around the outskirts of town, though the paranormal had the audacity to venture in the town temporarily to intimidate the locals while they nurse the carrier back to health.

Things were not cool in Luc's head, but Lieutenant Burkley's words put him on the straight and narrow for now. Even though Luc didn't appreciate being called a kid, or his reaction being interpreted as whether the surgery would kill Anya, as he knew even Anya wouldn't take that risk, Luc knew he had to put it all to the back of his mind if he was to focus. He pursed his lips and decided to leave it until afterwards. They were taking on a god damned dragon, it wasn't as if anything crazier was going to happen today.

Angus was a bit more level, but out of respect for Luc, he didn't press the issue of Anya's decision on him for now.

The WREC trooper that clomped its way on board caused them both to be a little uneasy. It was a hulking humanoid machine with a human head poking out the top, armed with a huge, door-sized gun. It was a preview of Anya would become, and it didn't exactly put Luc's mind at ease.

Once they touched down, Angus took the left side of the ramp, taking a knee and scanning for contacts, letting someone else on the right do the same. Once Angus waved them clear, the rest of the team spilled out, including Luc. Both Angus and Luc crept forward cautiously to secure the area and readied themselves to react with fire at enemy movement. A line of smoke plumes signalled where their objective was.

Din, with his Hecate II on hand ran out off the Little Lady. He found some debris he could hide behind, 5 meters in front of the Little Lady. He set up his Hecate II and crouched down, waiting for any movement within the area. He waited for any signals the higher ranks would give.

Upon hearing the loud thump that signified the landing of the Little Lady as it hit the ground, David unbuckled his safety belts and stood up against the nearest door, waiting for the pilot to announce that it was safe to leave. Once the PA system crackled to life and spewed out a couple of hoarse whispers, every single one of the vehicle's orifices, if you can call them that, unlatched, allowing the occupants to exit safely.

David quickly jumped onto the Pennsylvanian soil, taking in a breath of the urban air. It had been a long time since he'd been outside a ParaCom facility, and he was making sure to enjoy every single moment he had while on a mission. When he was finished with the whole breathing thing, he scanned the surrounding area, hoping to see something familiar. After all, he was stationed in Philly for a little over a month during his UMSC days as part of a nation-wide homeland security thing. But that was far behind him. Now he was a ParaCom trooper, humanity's last hope against the paranormal forces.

"Never mind that," he though to himself, and decided instead to go back to getting a lay of the nearby land. Since it was the outskirts of town, whatever structures there were took the form of long-abandoned single-story brick warehouses and their appropriate parking lots. Everything else is comprised solely of trees and bushes, filled with spring leaves. It was near one of these trees where he spotted a hunk of debris, likely from the dragon's antics, and a fellow soldier to go along with it.

David approached, his hand outstretched in a gesture of greeting.

Paranormal action was heard from a distance. "What's making that noise?" Michael inquired. He listened and deduced that the noise was in a forward direction of the squad. Michael and Din was even able to observe from quite a distance a group of three ghouls with crossbows. The ghouls have not detected them yet.

It was up to the snipers to give the first shot. The crash site was given to have resistance. A mission like this isn't suicide, but isn't cakewalk either. It was up to the operatives to get the job done quickly before panic rises.

'Okay I've got 3 flashbangs which I should save for the Dragon.' Din Looked to his left, many rocks were scattered around him and he got and Idea. He attempted to get Michael's attention and signaled him. "I will throw a rock to distract one of them, they will most likely send him to investigate. When he does, aim for one Ghoul, and I'll aim for the other" Once Din ended signaling Michael he grabbed the rock and tossed it to the left of the Ghouls who seemed like they were scavenging the area, and if by any case the 3rd Ghoul would run for help, he would have to prove his Nickname "Crosshair" to be true with his pocket knife.

William held his shotgun close as he ran at the Ghouls. He jumped over their cover, and landed behind them, behind a tree. Quickly, he took a shot at one of them, and hoped the other ghoul didn't damage him too much. This would eliminate the last ghoul as the soldiers took out the other two.

Din threw the rock to distract the ghoul. Fortunately, the paranormal cannon fodder were very easily distracted. One of them was investigating, going to see the rock. This gave William ample time to flank the enemy. The ploy began to work when Michael acknowledged the plan with going for the other ghoul buddy. Din was also free to take out the distracted ghoul. Lieutenant Burkley was ready to take out the third ghoul that was just watching the other two.

Once it was enacted, the other operatives can join the hunt. David then heard a sound that resembled a ring. It was the characteristic sound of a CLAM container. If he was to retrieve it, that would mean more materials for Splice and WREC programs. The dragon was sure to have the paranormal alloys and the element Cosmodium, which the science team has taken an interest in.

Din fired at the Ghoul and the bullet pierced the Ghouls forehead, that is if he had one. Din began to feel uneasy. The "Other Side" was beginning to take control. [/i]'Hold it Back Din, don't let it escape,[/i] He shaked his head, and raised his hand as if telling him to shoot at the third ghoul immediately, before the last ghoul noticed. His Hecate II was equipped with a silencer, but even at that distance, he knew that the last ghoul would notice because he was literally next to the 2nd Ghoul.

As soon as contact was called out, both Luc and Angus glanced in the ghoul's direction and moved to cover. The amount of distance that the team had on the ghouls and the element of surprise they maintained meant that the opening shots would ideally come from the sniper. Other movements were sounded by the Lieutenant as a flanking operation began.

Luc knew he was out of effective range of the ghouls at this stage. He could barely see them, but he knew his weapon wouldn't be much of a threat in this mess of cover. Angus came to a similar conclusion and they both advanced to further cover, keeping their heads down. Even though the squad's plan had a good perceived outcome, they both moved to overwatch in case the ghouls decided to run, or if anything else came out to play.

Luc mustered as much discipline as he could to not just let loose on the ghouls and break their element of surprise. He was too angry to even say something smart.

The ploy dropped the ghouls instantaneously. William, Din, and Michael hit them hard with not a single incident. The trio of ghouls didn't see it coming. The whole operative squad heard something from the distance. The sound resembled, in an audiological sense, a mix between a reptilian and avian noise, but with the consistency of human language. What could it be?

Center then suddenly radioed the group as a warning. "I'm picking up new contacts! It's something different than the others we have encountered, so be careful!" Once the operatives advance, they would encounter the new contacts that Center was warning about. From the noises, it could be deduced that it would be something else completely different from the rank and file paranormal forces.

'Hey you inside, I think it's time you stepped in, just this once.' Din thought to the other him. 'About time, step back.' The other him said. Din's hair color changed to white. The other him was in play, getting ready for whatever it is that was coming. He looked into the scope, but couldn't find any sign of movement. He radioed Center. " Hey, there is no one here, at least not yet, I think, because I can't find anything on my scope." He said.

Michael then identified the source of the sound. "New contacts identified!" They were revealed through Michael's WREC vision that they were Saurians. However, their equipment was not the most dangerous feature, but it would be like fighting the Spetsnaz or even SEALs. Enter then warned the group, "I have a feeling that these are the front line fighters of the paranormal! Be careful!" It didn't help that they immediately jumped to cover in a tactical formation, attempting to flank the group! "They're moving around the sides!" Michael warned the group.

Will hid behind cover, his shotgun at the ready. He said through the intercoms, "Going on overwatch." He prepared to shoot if the Saurians came close. He knew they were flanking; they were smart. But he was ready, should they come. "Come and eat my lead you paranormal bastards..." He mumbled under his breath, waiting. Waiting for a chance to pounce.

Now this was something new. Troops which seemed organised and trained. This was what Luc was expecting of the devastating paranormal forces. Luc had spotted one of the saurians as part of the flanking party and let loose a few bursts from his railgun in the creature's direction. "Suppressing one of the pricks, but I can't cover them all!"

Angus decided to pull back a short distance while he had the chance to cover for Din. "Overwatching the area for yer, Din," Angus radioed.

Din put a thumbs up pose towards Angus. I guess there is no need to hold back right. Im getting Bloodthirsty! Din took out his knife and started running towards the left flank of the Saurians. He jumped over the left flank of Saurians attempting to get to cover behind them. Once he found cover, he took out a flashbang and aimed it straight to the middle of where the Saurians were. "Cover Your Eyes" Din radioded in to everyone in the field. As the flashbang exploded Din covered his eyes and then opened them again. He took out his handgun and began to shoot the Saurians, not sure if it would hit or not.
