So after this extremely thorough analysis. And I mean extremely thorough. I can honestly say you're probably going to hate me and quit after you read this. However, I was honest, and voice my opinion on even the most seemingly meticulous of details. I may end up sounding more like a sarcastic asshole throughout this post than I mean to as well. Now without further delay.
Let’s start from the beginning.
Zuko is badass, but honestly I think it would be easier to just use a picture of younger zuko without the scar. Not a mandatory thing, but it is true.
The name is pretty badass. Nothing further.
Age, Gender, Rank, fine.
Skills: Deadly? Yeah you can be adept at it, but even a genius shouldn’t be able to hold up against EXPERIENCED MASTERS of their craft, or anyone really who has been EFFECTIVELY training for years longer. Example, Haku or Sasuke, were both prodigal ninja and highly skilled for their age. It is likely neither could beat or really even match up to Kakashi or Zabuza. Knowing pressure points? Yes. First aid? Yes. Medical ninjutsu? No way. That’s a very difficult craft to effective learn and utilize. So I feel it is unnecessary. You can be a vigilant person and perceptive, but there should be no reason why your perceptiveness or vigilance should be higher than that of a Hyuga or any sensory ninja to be honest. Flexibility and agility are to be expected.
Taijutsu and Kenjutsu: While the two are acceptable together your character seems to have such a mastery over each that it’s uncanny. In fact it seems to be on levels of masters who spend there lives perfecting their crafts. You need to ease up on one and focus on another as right now your character seems to utilize two entirely different styles of combat.
Jutsu: Clone technique counts as academy technique. It is not the same as Shadow clones. Firebending is not a jutsu. Shokuton melting shoes technique, is kind of iffy. I’ll go into detail on that a bit later on in this post. Keep reading.
Kekkei Genkai: It’s fine. I have no problem with it.
Personality: As far as personalities goes I’m sure I know what you mean, but the wording of it is fairly contradictive. Consider revising, but not mandatory.
Inventory: It’s fine. No reason to change it really, for now. Keep reading though.
Biography/History: The beginning starts off very well aside from the minor detail that was using the word “Narutoverse” it implies the universe. And you can’t just straight up be to the south west of a universe XD. Change that word. The islands are a nice touch adding something new to the world as a whole. However, the problem with Chakra. An individual’s chakra cannot be measures by the system. There’s no A-rank chakra, or B-rank or etc. There are –A-rank technique, A-rank threats, A-rank missions. The ABC ranking system are to measure the difficulty of a technique or person. Using this system in tandem with the ninja class system they label people and techniques.
“- E-rank - Learned by Academy students. Are the basic and most fundamental techniques for all ninja.
- D-rank - Genin-level techniques. Can be achieved by all genin, though many ninja only learn their "type" of technique.
- C-rank - Chūnin-level techniques. Sometimes learned by genin who have trained extensively.
- B-rank - Jōnin-level techniques. Require high levels of chakra to use.
- A-rank - Kage or jōnin-level techniques. Require great control over one's chakra and may beforbidden.
- S-rank - Secret, extreme level techniques. Are typically unique to a single user.
Kekkei Genkai and unique abilities normally do not have a rank.”
An individual can have high or low levels of chakra. This may not always tie into the rank they hold as a ninja or how dangerous they are as an individual. Trying to learn and master a a kekkei genkai and kenjutsu are not as easy as you have made it out to be with your character. He would likely be adept or highly skilled, but he would not have mastered either, in all honesty. I don’t mind finding the gauntlets. In the anime world finding something strange you don’t know anything about is kind of common, but there should at least be a legend or a lore to them that makes it what it is. Every item in Naruto has some sort of story behind it. Even if your character doesn’t know it you and we should. Another note is that your character found the gauntlets when he was 13 and a year later his father had him go to the main land. That would make him 14 when he came to konohagakure, and a year (Maybe more as the academy has been shown to start throughout the earlier ages and span over a few years to learn and train in the techniques). In order for it to work he’d have had to move to the main land and begun the academy MUCH younger as it is also likely Konoha, or any village for that matter, wouldn’t just randomly allow new comers to join there academy without proper checking and such.
Fire Dragon Gauntlets: Once again the whole southwest of the “Narutoverse” thing. Pick a spot on the map and be off to the south west of that area. They’re design and description are fair and don’t need much changing.
“-Can Absorb ANY Fire technique (Not counting Amaterasu) thrown to the user and can be converted into chakra for the user.”
No. Provide protection against and absorb techniques of individuals weaker or around the same level of the user? Sure. Redirect? Sure. But for now reason should you a Genin, be fighting someone of high class Chunin, Jonin, or Anything higher and be able to absorb there chakra and attacks. It’s ridiculous and puts you as an advantage over any and all character, enemies and the like who possess any form of fire that isn’t Amaterasu. It damn sure shouldn’t convert it to chakra. That would mean against any fire user not possessing Amaterasu, you would never run out of chakra should they use any fire technique, or merely around fire.
“- Can unleash blasts of fire from the gauntlets as a security measure.”
Honestly there is no real problem with this part. Though you should state that it draws from your chakra. All items that utilize special abilities draw from the user’s chakra to some degree.
“Can Seal ANY Fire Technique (Not counting Amaterasu) into the "orbs" on the palms of the gauntlets and can be sent back at the opponent.”
This honestly could tie into the first gauntlet abilities. And I will not further explain something that is practically the same concept. And looking at the picture it can be assumed that there are only 6 orbs altogether on the gauntlets. Meaning you could only “seal” 6 fire techniques of around your level or lower before you would need to begin to release them back at the opponent or hold for later.
“[B-Rank] Gauntlet Technique: Dragon's Laser - Concentrating Chakra at the palm of the gauntlets, the user unleashes a huge laser towards the opponent imbued with Fire Chakra, it is a big ray with sizes ranging from half the user's height to ten feet.”
Concentrating the USER’S chakra maybe. Storing chakra in the gauntlets could be an ability, but there would need to be a big limits cause otherwise it would be too OP.
“[C-Rank] Gauntlet Technique: Inexperienced Dragon Baby's Laser - Concentrating Chakra at the palm of the gauntlets, the user unleashes a laser the size of their palm towards their opponent imbued with Fire Chakra, it is a small sized laser which will be no bigger than twice the size of their palm.”
Once again, you would need to concentrate the USER’S Chakra. And you already know the deal. This technique it honestly fine lol.
“[D-Rank] Firebending: In unison with the user's punches and kicks depending on the nature and intesity of the attack, fire will always follow the attack; allowing punches to be set with daggers of literal fire or shoot small fireballs at the opponent.”
Punches maybe. In order for kicks to be involved you would need to have grieves Like gauntlets but for the legs. I might have spelled that wrong, but look into them. Even then I already spoke to you about this. You would only be able to mold and shape YOUR own chakra and flames YOU created.
“[D-Rank] Gauntlet Technique: The Fire Dragon's Hidden Blades: Using chakra and the gauntlets, the user makes a transparent blade of fire to make a hidden or hookblade below the wrist. Doing so, it can be used for assassinations.”
This should be a higher ranked technique. The molding and concentration needed to approapriately shape a blade, even small, that would penetrate the body and not simply expand and burn is pretty high. At least a C-rank.
“[D-Rank] Gauntlet Technique: Fiery Blacksmith - Using the chakra and the gauntlets, the user can materalize any weapon they wish made out of fire.”
This would be at least B-rank. It’s essentially the same technique only to a larger, broader degree. Infact depending on the weapon made the difficulty, strain, concentration, and amount of chakra used would vary greatly.
Scorching Sword: Given it’s abilities as listed and the fact that you don’t know who the creator is it should not have been stolen and your character shouldn’t be able to use it. That’s just going off of the information you gave. Still aside from that once again the piece design and description is pretty fine by me for a general sword.
“-The blade of the katana can be lit on fire and can NOT be extinguished by ANYTHING. Except for the user.”
An inextinguishable flame is not a new concept to Naruto. However, this should only be in the case in which the User is holding or in contact with it. Once out of their possession it should not remain on fire. Say it is activated and he drops it. Even if the flame lingers or remains activated, smothering or dousing it with water or something should be able to extinguish it. It is not Amaterasu.
“-The hilt of the katana is a security measure which will give a nasty burn to anyone who attempts to steal the katana. The user must "allow" the sword to be held by someone else.”
This means the bandits shouldn’t have been able to steal it. Hold it. Or try to figure out how it works. They would be burned. You’re character, unless he knows the creator of the sword and would get permission should not be able to hold, use or anything with the sword either. Little bit of a major plot hole that even the suspension of disbelief can’t cover up.
“- Fire sent from the blade may be put out(like a fireball), though contact with the blade will result in one of four scenarios: the object/person will melt, the object/person will be set on fire, the object/person will begin to literally burn away, the sword on contact with anything will release a steam sound and be as hot as a blade in a furnace; the weakest "form" of the blade.”
No person will melt. That’s just ludicrous. Perhaps an object made of some sort of metal, but otherwise no. Maybe the part that touched the blade would be set on fire. It could possibly spread, but other wise they won’t simply catch fire. In fact at most they would be burned. And how bad depends on the level of contact. Burning away is iffy. If they caught fire yes. But simply coming in contact with the sword ablaze would be a no. It’s illogical even in Naruto. Steam to my knowledge has no sound itself. There are possibly sounds cause by steam escaping something or something of that nature, but it has no sound. The blade would simply heat up, which is not very different from the catching fire except on a weaker level.
“[A-Rank] Kenjutsu: Change of Tempature - Upon the user striking the opponent, the user continues to slash at the opponent with the blade of the katana constantly & automatically changing tempature which will ALWAYS be at LEAST as hot as a hot spring, dealing damage to the nervous system along with the usual flesh wound. Due to the sudden changes of tempature in the body, the nervous system has barely enough time to react to the pain and will eventually implode, along with the body's cooling system. By doing so, if the opponent is left alive it's only a matter of time until they die due to their body tempature rising too high.”
There is no automatic. It is a technique. The user has control over it. It depends on their concentration and the amount of chakra they put in. This would likely leave them exhausted unless they have tailed beast level chakra for use in succession. Also change in temperature only really matter when cold is also a factor. It does more damage to the nervous system that way.
“[B-Rank] Kenjutsu: Acid of Fire - Upon the user slashing at the opponent, the user will feel an acid/burning like wound in the attacked area, getting hotter and hotter as well as digging through the flesh to either the other side of the limb/torso or to the centre of an important organ or limb, this is caused by a small chakra-powered fire which was sent off from the blade.”
You use fire and scorching style. Not corrosion or lava still. This is clearly an ability associate with one of those. Not simple scorching and fire. Scorching and fire style wouldn’t cause the body to be eaten away like acid. And yes I have looked up Scorch release.
“[C-Rank] Eruption - The user charges an explosion of fire in his blade, raised up in the air waiting to strike down with enough power and momentum for a death strike or to at least send the opponent flying. The moment the blade stores enough power (it can go on endlessly until the user's strength gives out due to the "weight" of the technique) and is sent down to the ground an explosion of fire follows.”
Eruption no. Explosion yes. Eruption is connected to a different thing. This is not lava or volcanic. Change the name and leave this technique. Also it cannot be gauged as a simple C-rank. The amount of chakra and level of attack would very far too much. So it cannot be called a simple c-rank. Other than that this technique is fine.
“[C-Rank] Kenjutsu: Volcano - Using a combination of well-placed slashes, the sword while lit on fire rakes the flesh with fire leaving a "trail" of it, end result being that wherever the slash connected is where the fire is on-going.”
You’re connecting the fire a bit too much to volcanoes. It’s not the same and wouldn’t work like lava. Sorry, but it just wouldn’t. You have no Earth style either… No lava based things. The fire would not work the same.
“[D-Rank] Kenjutsu: Ripture - The opponent jumps both into the air while sending Sukochi into a deadly uppercut into the opponent, sending both the user and the opponent into the air; the moment the blade connects it will feel like a jagged burning blade ripping through your flesh. May be used in a slightly weaker form without the jump and momentum.”
Nothing really wrong with this. Ripture… What is that? I know rapture and rupture. Not ripture. This is an honest question. Not trying to be a dick.
Overall you seem to forget that in order to activate the items, Sword and Gauntlets, you would need to use your own chakra as no item that is short from having shown some form of sentience can activate on its own. They all draw from the user’s chakra. Even Samehada which seemed to be alive needed chakra to work. It ate other’s and was shown to try and eat even its owner’s chakra. None of the gauntlet and sword techniques could be activated or used without your character using his own chakra or somehow story chakra in them over time for later use. But they would have limits to how much could be used. I’d also like to add that because of the sheer heat that the techniques all seem to use the items would need to be made of chakra metal or whatever it’s called so as to channel the chakra properly without melting. Don’t reference Sasuke’s blade because lighting and fire and heat are all different and you know it.
“[S-Rank] Banishment of Hades: The user concentrates the entire blade to an extremly undescribable amount of heat, the moment any part of the blade connects to the body the person literally disappears into nothingness. The technique is so hot and so strong that not even ashes remain of the person.”
Scorching release is heat. Not fire. This is more like a powerful fire style technique. Heat and fire are different believe it or not. But I digress on this matter.
“[S-Rank] Internal Burning: The user immediately sends a slash or some sort of attack towards the body of the opponent to allow the fire to enter the body (Chakra Strings also work). After doing so a small fire is lit inside the person's body, beginning to roast their insides, due to the nature of the technique, it can be used for instantly killing an opponent to torture or to even pure discomfort. “
Right off the bat, no chakra strings. That’s a whole other field and specialty. And you need to change fire to heat. And inorder for this technique to work there would need to be some sort of penetration on the body. A senbon, a sword. Something to enter to allow the heat to enter and build.
“[A-Rank] Fire Pillar Fortress: The user erects huge pillars of fire around the battlefield to entrap anyone from getting out. The technique serves both as a defensive AND offensive technique, no one is able to break in or get out in the area designated for the technique. Any opponents inside the "fortress" will have the pillars shoot semi-homing blasts of fire at them, making it a tough technique to deal with.”
Obviously there would be way to get out of this. In fact this is more of a barrier jutsu than a typical ninjutsu. But still it is at least an S-Rank. One again, pillars of heat. Not fire. Fire and heat are different.
“[B-Rank] Fire Pillar: The user errects a fire pillar of about his or her height. Afterwards the pillar locks on to the opponent and will endlessly hunt down the opponent to the ends of the earth, if he is in the line of sight or the user is constantly tracking down the opponent of course. The technique is unaffected by Water Techniques of a lower or same rank but a water jutsu of a higher rank (A or S) will put out the jutsu. The pillar will caese until chakra reserves are low or until the user wishes it to be so.”
There is no reason why only a jutsu of higher rank should work against it. A water Dragon bullet jutsu should work easily. There should be a way to avoid if creative and tricky enough. Sand or earth or anything that fire would be weak against should have advantage over it. Combinations of multiple lower ranked jutsu should work just as well as one higher ranked. And once again, scorch release. HEAT, not simply fire.
“[B-Rank] Hundred-Thousand Degree Armor: The user "wraps" themselves in an armor of literal heat which is not even viewable to the opponent. The most that could be noticed is constant sweating of the user and perhaps a hazy "aura" around them. Any technique sent at the user will evaporate or melt when in contact with the user or an inch outwards.”
No this would kill the user, and life around it. I’m sorry… Just no… No human body, whether the caster or not could possibly survive and use this. And heat as shown in the anime has a visible form when utilizing the chakra.
“[C-Rank] Heat Inhalation Technique: A counter for all fire-based techniques. The user uses their chakra to "suck" the heat out of the technique making even the strongest fire jutsu into something useless. Afterwards, all that remains is the cosmetic view of the jutsu, but will do nothing.”
This is something that would be considered a scorch technique, but damn is it OP for a c-rank. B rank at least. And of course, there are sometechniques like Amaterasu that would not work and this is one technique you definitely couldn’t learn until reach High Chunin or Jonin rank.
“[C-Rank] Melting Shoes Technique: The user disperses their chakra over the battlefield, superheating it and coating the area in a very HOT chakra. It is not possible to stand on ANYTHING when affected by it minus the user. This can be used for the ground only and even up to the mountain-tops and trees, water will boil when affected with this technique.”
His technique is another that could vary in rank. Very good Scorch one though. Still you could never use this with comrades around. Definitely not. It would hinder them as well.
“[B-Rank] Kenjutsu: Sunlight/Moonlight Dance: The user raises their sword up into the air to absorb the light of the sun or moon into the blade, if the moon is out the blade is a light glowing blue color, if the sun is out, the blade is yellow and blinding like the sun. The user then performs elegant and powerful blows in in a combination of finesse strikes. Sunlight = Blinding and yellow. Moonlight = Glowing Light Blue”
I can’t really say anything about this because there have been instances in the series, Manga, movies, anime, etc. where stuff like this has happened. But even then it likely wouldn’t add much to the attack and power of the technique.
