Even though the battle between Xero and Hiro had only just started, Danny could already tell why they were considered the top Net Battlers of the school. Their battle began with the use of a simple but effective chip which got countered easily." This is gonna be good." He said without taking his eyes from the screen. PumpkinMan seemed less than impressed though. "Please they haven't even used any fire Chips. Everyone knows fire attacks are the best." "Tell that to PirateMan."

Blade leaped up and over Xero's head, releasing all three shuriken as the hilts to his longswords appear over his shoulders. Drawing them, the blades are a deep gold, almost bronze in color. Moving forward and closing the distance with the opposing navi quickly, Jake inserts a chip. "Aqua Needle, activate!" As the chip activates, a small rainstorm of needles falls towards Xero, just a short ways behind a left handed overhand swing towards Xero's head from Blade's left hand. When that missed, he spun and slashed at Xero's gut. Blade was excited so far. Xero's reflexes were amazing, on par with that of his own, but he was still somewhat vulnerable in comparison to Blade. With no decent ranged attack, he'd be hard pressed to keep from getting kited if that was the route Blade choose to take.

"Nice reflexes." Xero commented as he spun his scythe deflecting the shuriken. And with this the clash with Blade truly began. Just as easily as he deflected the shuriken he leaped out of the way of the needles. "You're good." He added dodging the overhand swing. It wasn't often someone made him put this much effort in so soon. "But you're underestimating me a bit aren't you?" He smirked blocking the slash to his gut. He released one hand from his scythe and held it up aimed directly at Blade.

"Spreader! Battle chip in!" Hiro called out swiftly activating another chip.

Xero's hand quickly transformed and the blaster glowed. "Ya might wanna move now." He said before firing the blast that would spread out in Blade's direction. "And this isn't even the half of it." He added as he immediately followed after Blade at high speed. Whehter Blade was hit or dodged he wouldn't be getting away so easily.

Blade grinned as Jake spun a chip on his finger tip before inserting it. "Battle chip in, Area Grab!" Blade disappeared from the immediate area of the spread shot, the attack missing, and appears behind Xero, aiming an X slash at Xero's back and then leaping away and unleashing a barrage of throwing stars at him.

"I appreciate the concern, but I'm fully aware of who I'm up against. Jake may be a joker, but he knows how to do his homework on an opponent." Landing on the ground, Jake spins another chip before inserting it in the slot. He could tell that Blade was enjoying the battle and in all honesty, so was he. There really weren't many operators of this caliber, so this fight would be really good.

"Cannon, activate!" Sheathing a sword, one of Blade's hands transforms into the cannon and he aims at Xero as it glows.

"Your turn to think fast." With a boom, the shot flies out of the cannon arm, sailing towards Xero. Even if he dodged, There were already a bunch of shuriken primed to give chase to the other navi.

"Looks like we're gonna need to use that." Hiro said with a small laugh. Immediately he pulled the stylus for his PET out and could be seen tapping and sliding along the screen.

Xero smirked and nodded just before both the blast and shuriken made contact. A cloud of smoke and dust kicked up shrouding Xero. Any normal Navi might have been defeated, but not him. "Man... You guys are a lot better than I expected if Hiro decided to use this." Xero said as the smoke cleared. On his arm was a large shield and his color scheme was different. Now anywhere he was previously white was Blue. His mouth and nose were covered. The red energy was now a dark lavender color.

"Shield Aqua style change." Hiro said calmly as he exhaled. "I'm gonna kick it up a notch if you don't mind." Hiro said to Jake before going back to work. "Now Custom Heat style change." He said quickly.

Just as quickly as he spoke Xero's color scheme become one of primarily red with energy in gold and other parts transitioning to match the change. The shield disappeared and he charged forward. He sword the scythe at Blade, but this time as it swung a wave of fire was released in his direction. He was faster, stronger, and had more tricks. "Don't think it'll be as easy as before." Xero said confidently.

Blade and Jake took the change in stride, knowing that letting the mid battle element changes get to them would flip the battle in Xero's and Hiro's favor, so instead they went with a patented combo they'd used against fire type foes before. "Get ready, Jake!" Sliding underneath the wave of fire, Blade charges up his throwing stars for a couple seconds before releasing one giant one that sailed head on into the wave and stopping it. The smoke from the resulting from the explosion bought Blade the time he needed to get into a better position while Jake, who didn't announce the name of the chip he'd just slid in, activated a battle chip. A panel appeared underneath Blade and then blended into the floor, and sever all around it did the same.

He then pulled out a set of three chips and slid them in in rapid succession. "Now, Blade! Activate, Life Sword!" The powerful sword blade appeared from Blade's right arm and he swung to meet Xero's scythe as he closed the distance.

"I never thought it would be easy to begin with!"

Xero and Hiro were slightly shocked. It wasn't every day they were able to fight against others who could effectively utilize the program advance system. Hiro grinned. "Xero jump back." He said smirking as he used the Anti-damage battle chip. It created a sort of clone of Xero to take the damage of the attack in his stead. Though in addition to that three program shuriken would launch at Blade from the doppelganger. It was generally a trap, but this worked as well. "Now, Super Vulcan battle chip." Hiro said activating the chip. Xero's right arm transformed into a gatling gun and began to fire high speed round. He was doubtful these attacks would BOTH land, but at least one had to do some damage. The two hadn't had this much fun in a while. It just kept getting better. But they had to end it soon.

Even as the life sword connected with the double, Blade was moving to the right, barely skirting the shuriken that sprouted from the substitute. The Super Vulcan spinning to life would have worried Blade if they didn't have two chips that worked in their favor, though only one needed to be used. Spinning it on his finger tip, Jake inserts the second, and final, Area Grab, this time allowing Blade to come from the right side of Xero. Spinning another chip on his finger, Jake slides it in and grins. "Cross Divide, in!" Both of the longswords in Blade's hands glow green briefly before he slashes in an X, the attack coming at Xero incredibly fast.

Blade smirked as he landed and sheathed both blades, already moving to avoid the shots from the Super Vulcan that hadn't connected with the ground yet. Dodge that.

Hiro grinned as he quickly used another area grab chip as well shifting Xero out of the way of the attack and quite far away from his friend. "Xero. Plan LS." He said to his partner calmly.

Hearing the order, Xero smirked and nodded. "Got it Hiro." He said just before throwing his scythe. It spun as it approached Blade rather fast. And just as he did that he thrust his arms back. "Secondary blades activate." He said as two pieces launched from his back pack and attached to the tops of his hands. The bases that had just attached to the dorsal surfaces of his hands activated forming two semi, blade like objects comprised of the energy that made up his scythe.

"Now, Custom Lightning Style Change." Hiro said quickly as he activated the program once more. This quick motion and activation caused his navi to transform in a way once again.

Xero's color scheme changed to a deep blue as the primary and all secondary colors shifted to a bright yellow. His back pack seemed to grow just a bit and even the energy comprising the blades and his scythe shifted to a static like, almost eletric, yellow. The blade now had lightning properties in addition the already high combat specs. "Let's bring this little show to a close." He said with a confident grinned as he charged forward seeming to move much quicker than he had earlier. Now even getting too close could allow Xero the opportunity to utilize the lightning element and possibly stun him, if the ability was effective and Blade had no resistance to lightning.
