"Perfect." Griffin told her.

Connor thought to himself, . He supposed he would never know. He looked down at his hands as there was silence. His hands didn't feel clean. He would have done whatever he could, to have rescued her. As she started to speak, he listened, looking up. He took it all in, not interrupting. Letting her talk, letting her just speak. Right up until the end. "I'm not a scientist. I like science. But its not who I am. If all the data is piling up against you, you need to ask yourself this. Why am I still here? Why would I have bothered to break into a high security facility to save you, if you meant nothing to me? Facts are facts, but facts can be completely emotionless, and not worth the time. If we went with the facts, the science of it all, no one would have powers=it just wouldn't be possible. We wouldn't be here, and chances are we'd just be a couple of normal teenagers complaining about math, or wondering whose party to go to, or whatever normal teenagers do, and reading about super heroes and villains in comic books-well, I would at least"Although Connor doubted, greatly, that he would have ever just been a normal teenager. "the only facts I care about right now are these: I'm not going to bail. I'm not going to betray you. I'm not here to take advantage of you, and use you. I'm not doing this for any ulterior motive. I care about you. You can trust me. You can depend on me. I've never given anyone, any reason to not believe they can, or that I"m going to betray them" He frowned "Actually, maybe Anthony, but that's Anthony" He didn't look away, he made no move to even move, not yet. "You say I'm too hero. That I wouldn't be willing to get my hands dirty, and perhaps, before coming here, before meeting everyone, before this, us, I wouldn't have been willing to. Now...well, now things are different. So you can pull up your shields, hold me at arms length, continue to expect that I'll be like everyone else in your life so far, and don't give a damn, use you, betray you, not be there when you need someone-like now, but Kijani, I'll be there. Just there, chipping away at the shields, the distance, offering small bits of reassurance, until you believe I mean what I say. . You just don't see it. You don't see your value, because of your parents, your grandmother and whoever else. But I do." And finally, he couldn't take it anymore, couldn't stand it anymore. "Please don't cry. I hate seeing you cry" He wanted to hug her, to try and make it all better but he was afraid she'd flinch away

Devika was taking notes and not paying attention at the same time, a gift learned from all her years in school. She was gazing out of the corner of her eye at a new student. He looked much younger than most people in the class. So far, most of the students who'd showed up in this course had been older like she was, either on their way to graduation or with superpowers that were much less obvious or strong. This was more of an intellectual course than one that involved any sort of power over another. Unless you considered talking to people and being politically correct a superpower...She wondered what this guy was doing in class- he didn't seem to be paying that much attention. Then again, she wasn't either and she still was passing.

Connor frowned, thinking. "Okay. I can see what I can do to remove it. Probably a code or something. It might take a while" he really didn't want to screw up and kill her. He had no idea how to even go about figuring it out, but he could.

Nicholas was flipping to a interesting part in the textbook of a incident with The Brotherhood Of Mutants and some humans that lead to a lot of dead humans,A rebellion form the humans wanting the blood of the mutants as payback.Nicholas scoffed at this thinking that the humans were wrong with such petty actions.Nicholas quietly closed his book looking over at the dark skinned student looking straight at him,The young blinked then nodded his head at her seeing that he thought she was quite cute.

Devika smiled uncertainly as she was caught looking, and then nodded back in response. She made sure that the teacher wasn't watching, and then she scribbled a quick note, then held it up. -You sure you aren't looking for the other Hulk's class?- Dr. Banner taught a course or two. One science course, and one on anger management and meditation. She still hadn't quite gotten up the courage to attend it, even though she probably should.

Nicholas quickly jotted down something on his notebook paper showing it to her.-Yes this is the right class for me...- He wrote looking around then finally back to her with a blank look on his face.

Devika grinned, and then scribbled something down. She held it up. -Welcome, then!- Next to that was a big, goofy smiley face. With that message passed along, she got back to her note-taking until class ended. Then she made her way across the room, slipping around exiting students. "...hey." She lifted one hand in greeting. "You new?".

Devika chuckled. "Not quite. I haven't been going here long. I transferred in from ." She smiled a bit wanly. Where would she be if she had gone to this school instead of her high school? Maybe she'd be a hero? Or at least in complete control of her power. "I'm Devika. I'd give you a handshake, but you really don't want it, trust me." She simply waved her gloved fingers at him.

Phoebe grabbed some lunch, and despite it being cold, she sat at the normal outside table. She wanted to be away from the noise inside, and Phoebe always felt better outside away.. She looked around for Katherin, knowing her friend had no problems in the cold, and wondered if she should try to make new friends, with Sue gone. And then she winced, because that had worked so well, remembering the talk she had tried to have with Devika, only to end up being yelled at. Phoebe sighed.
