Venus
Numerous floating islands were constructed above the surface of the planet and acted as filters for Venus' natural Carbon dioxide atmosphere that would normally make life unsustainable. They were grown on islands because the surface was too hot. The plants had an adverse side-effect in humans called Venus Sickness. The airborne disease caused blindness in some people who came into contact with the spores. The Grey Ash plant cures Venus Sickness but it is extremely rare and expensive to purchase. It is thus a valuable part of the black market trade on Venus. The atmosphere of Venus has a high content of helium which causes people to speak in a high-pitched voice but is otherwise harmless. Pills are taken orally to counter-act the voice modulation.
In the year 2022 an Astral Gate exploded above Earth in an event known as The Gate Accident. The explosion destroyed most of Earth's Moon, causing a near-constant natural disaster of Rock Showers falling into orbit and hitting the planet surface. It has become something of a no-mans-land where only the most stubborn or most desperate live.
Mars
Since Mars cannot sustain a life-sustaining atmosphere, terraforming the entire planet would achieve no results as the artificial atmosphere would be blasted off its surface by the solar wind of the sun as Mars does not have a magnetosphere which shields the planet from the sun's radiation. However life is sustained through the use of large craters, in which, an artificial atmosphere has been created to cover the crater and is constantly replenished so that the atmosphere does not thin out. In this way, a colony can be established with atmospheric and climatic features similar to those of Earth.
Tijuana
A small colony in the Asteroid belt, it is little more than a dome with essential facilities stuck to a relatively large asteroid. It is lawless and filled with despots from all walks of life.
Ganymede
The seventh and largest moon of Jupiter, as well as the largest moon in the Solar System. It was terraformed in the twenty-first century by heating its original thick layer of ice to reveal a great seawater ocean underneath. With very little natural landforms, Ganymede is primarily used in the commercial fishing industry to harvest such animals as the Ganymede Rock Lobster and the endangered Ganymede Sea Rat.
Europa
One of Jupiter's inhabited moons. It is currently still under development, but there are some small towns, roads, and a rail road system in place.
Titan
A moon of Saturn with a desert climate. It is dotted with sparsely populated cities that each run independently. At some point early in it's colonization there was a war that devastated most of it's larger metropolitan cities, it has yet to recover from the aftermath.
Pluto
The site of a maximum security penitentiary, which is fitting considering its desolate environment and remote distance from the other planets. The most dangerous people in the Solar System are sent here.
