She was in shot. She leaned against the wall trying to collet herself. Sheckbew nothing about fighting. She had never been in battle. She felt helpless and useless. Everyone else seemed to know just what to do. She just tried to stay out of the way.

It hurt to breathe...it hurt a lot...it was very fortunate that he didn't always have to, then. Even so, he didn't have much air left in his lungs to hold on to after that desperate attempt. He would have to breathe sometime. Of course, there wouldn't be any more of that until this sudden coughing fit stopped, which he really hoped it would soon since it only made things worse at the moment. Luckily for him, it seemed that the pain had started to settle slightly into a slightly less intense stinging once he spit out whatever was still choking him. ...well, it was only a little blood; it seemed that he was one of the blessed ones after all. As long as he could eventually swallow, he would probably heal. With that comfort in mind, he lifted his head from staring at the ground to make sure that the others were alive. They seemed to be moving, except for Shea, but she looked alive from here. Akila was checking on her, at least, though he couldn't really grasp what Tanikazi was saying at the moment.

She checked him for wounds but didn't see any that would cause him to struggle with breathing. "Shit! He's a water being out of water! Whatever you did to Chang his fins to legs didnt change his lungs! His body isn't designed to handle this much oxygen!"

Akila strolled over with a less concerned expression as usual. "I was told he would be fine out of the water." Seeing the small amount of blood on the floor. She couldn't say for sure that Shea was not correct though. Marine life was not something she knew well.

Getting him wet might help but I don't know if it will be enough. I am not a specialist when it comes to marnie life. But my best guess is that he isn't getting enough nitrogen or something that he usually gets from the water." Shea explained.

His lungs? The words were starting to make a little more sense now, but he didn't think that was the problem. Of course, their solution did still somehow make sense for aiding in recovery. Using the small amount of blood on the floor to write a short message. *Water helps* After thinking a moment, he tried to spread the blood for a slight change. *cold/Water helps*

"ok good. That solves that. Now we just need cold water." Shea said thoughtfully. "Preferably something that we can take with us. So that Runo can travel with us. I don't know how much he need or how fresh it needs to be. Does it need to be in you or on you?"

With Shea taking care of the details Akila went to look for some water. sadly she couldn't use the scarab because Runo needed it. Glancing in several of the nearby rooms she didn't see anything that looked particularly helpful. Down further there was a large heavy door where machinery could be heard operating. Cautiously she opened it and glanced inside. There didn't appear to be any of the drones there, or at least any that weren't just parts. It was a bit dark and turning on the lights revealed an assembly line fore drones. It was inactive and Akila made sure to avoid touching any part of that. There were some large engines with conduits coming off of them. She felt some of the pipes and they appeared to be cool. There was more to the room, old parts on shelf after shelf. A robot graveyard almost. There wasn't time to bother with that though. Inspecting the pipes again she found a spout. Upon turning it the pressure forced a jet of water out that covered the nearby floor. Shutting it off quickly she stood still in case she alerted anything. Everything silent so she cupped her hand and let just a small amount of the water out to smell and taste it. Finding it to be clean she headed back to the others. "I found a room with some device that has flowing water. The drones appear to have been made there at one point but all there are merely parts."

Tanikazi leaned against a wall, Pulling out a carton of ciggaretes, and opened the pack, and gracefully tooken one of the Ciggaretes and put it in his mouth, tanikazi then tooken out a sliver lighter, flipping the top and creating a small blue light, and used it to gracefully light his cigarette, a sense of relief and calmness hit tanikazi with a pang, **Seems like a solution has presented itself** tanikazi said leaning against the wall. goddammit hes cool

The merman was starting to be able to breathe again, if very painfully. All he could manage were very short gasps occasionally between periods of holding his breath, but it was something. The cigarettes were making him nervous, though, an he made an attempt to stand and move away from them. He didn't want his throat any more irritated than it already was. He was still pretty shaky on his feet, but he managed to make it a few yards before he had to stop. It wasn't until after another short for of coughing that he realized that he had been asked a question. With the small amount of red liquid in his hand again, he dropped down to the floor to write again. *Both. Swan song. Tired.* It was a bit more than was asked, but it felt like an explanation was necessary. He hoped that the source of water Akila had found wasn't too far away.

Seeing that Runo was having trouble Akila took the liberty of picking him up again. It was only a minutes walk from where they were. She set him down by by the spout and looked around for something they could put the water in so he could drink without getting blasted in the face by the pressure. Going to the shelves she picked up what was apparently an empty drone head. Making sure it was clean she brought it over and filled it with water, handing it to Runo.

Runo sat down on the floor and gratefully accepted the water given to him. Lifting the makeshift bowl to his lips, he tried to force a little of the water down his throat only to come up choking again the first time. It seemed that his throat just wouldn't let him swallow anything easily. When his sputtering finally subsided, he tried again, managing to keep a little of the cool liquid down this time. After a few more attempts of this, the merman finally placed the container down and tried splashing some of the water on his legs, throat somewhat numb by now.

Akila waited with Runo. Part of his current circumstance was her fault. The water appeared to be helping though which was good. They were going to have to find a more permanent solution before too long. The scarab would not work for more than three days.
