A year ago he had pitched the idea to turn the unused 9th floor into a long term pediatric ward. This turned out to be a costly idea but they hospital did what they could and asked their benefactors who said yes and then also got government funding for the school in it. Needless to say it took some time but three months ago the ward was off the ground.

Currently enjoying his coffee in the staff lounge on the 3rd floor.

Jeff was waking up. regular day happening. Jeff was Bipolar. one hour he would be perfectly fine and the next he'll be hiding in the corner of the room saying gibberish. so jeff went on with his usual routine. make breakfast get dressed. go insane for a bit and then be perfectly normal later. jeffs room was pretty fine except for a tiny room were jeff always hids in when he goes crazy. that room was filled with all sorts of stuff. drawings. crosses. creepy blood written writing. with fake blood of course Jeff decided too go steal some coffee from the staff lounge. Coffee wasn't really allowed in the hospital but Jeff didn't give a shit. jeff climbed into a opened vent. don't ask why but it was already opened like 2 days ago when jeff had a paranoia attack. Jeff climbed in the vent around to get to the staff lounge and finally found it. jeff cautiously opened the vent and hid it somewhere and then lowered a tiny Fishing rod and attempted to grab someones coffee mug [dante]

Coffee made Jeff calm which was weird thats why jeff loved coffee so much

Griffin
Griffin had been brought into the emergency room only a well ago. He had been badly beaten by his father. He refused to talk about it with the doctors or the social worker assigned to his case. While they were batching him up they ran some blood work. The blood work revealed that he had bone cancer. They moved him to the long term ward as soon as they had him patched up. His first surgery was schedule for later this week.

Liz
Liz hummed as she drove to work. She loved her job. She loved the patients on her floor. She looked forward to her doing her job everyday. She parked her little Voltzwagon bug into the first parking spot that she found. She hurried to the elevator wanting to make herself a cup of coffee before she started making rounds. She hummed her current song as she waited for the elvator to reach the ninth floor. When the doors slid open her made her way to the break room.

Jeff continues to hook the coffee mug to the tiny hand-made fishing rod and began to reel in the coffee mug accidentally having it tip a tiny bit of coffee onto Dantes shirt. Jeff giggled a bit

When the mug began to spill he tossed it upwards stepped back on the way back down he grabbed the mug out of the air. Some splashed on the floor but none on him. "I have been so clumsy lately." He placed the coffee mug on the counter and began to wipe up the spilled coffee. After he got that mostly cleaned up he set the mug in the sink and grabbed his clipboard before heading upstairs he had a new patient to meet. A Mr. Griffin.

jeff sighed as he failed to get the coffee *he didn't even notice the cup flying in the air!* jeff realized that Dante has left the room and pretty much nobody will come back in the room so quickly jeff hoped down the vent and landed on the ground. took the mug out of the sink and quickly used the coffee machine to make coffee "cmon cmon" Jeff whispered looking behind him to make sure nobody was there. Jeff quickly grabbed a stool and used it to block the only entrance to the staff break room and waited for the coffee to brew

Griffin stretched out on his bed. He could get used to this. He had a bed and food. Even though the medication they gave him tended to make him sick he didnt mind. Anything was an improvement from his home life. He frowned at the thought. Eventually he was going to have to deal with that. Right now he was tactically a ward of the state. He was hoping to that way or better yet become emancipated.

Liz was surprised to find the door closed when she reached the break room. The door was never closed. Which meant someone who wasnt suppose to be in there was in there. She sighed. She had a pretty good guess as to which of their residents it was. She tapped on the door. "Come on Jeff. Let me in. I need coffee before I make rounds."

Griffin was startled out of his thoughts by the knock. He heart pounded in fear. He had to remind himself that he was safe at the hospital. He took a moment to calm himself. He knew the doctors didnt believe him when he told them the the beating that brought him to the ER was a one time event. There were too many scars on his body for them to believe that. But that didnt mean that he was going to let them catch with his guard down. "Come in."

jeff quickly hid in the vent and left before Liz could open the door *Mission Coffee complete! or almost* jeff grabbed the cup of coffee and made his way from the vent back to his room and hopped down from the vent and began to drink the coffee and then heard the clock Tick. it was 12:00 AM afternoon. jeff all of a suddenly heard in his head *i'm coming for you Jeff* and Jeff immediately Screamed "THEY"RE COMING!" and threw the coffee halfway across the room. smashing against the door

Dante walked in to Griffin's room and sat down on a stool. "Hello My name is Dante. I am the surgeon who will be operating at the end of the week. Do you have any questions?" Dante was very non-threatening and very calm.

the sound could be heard from miles. pretty much everyone in the entire building heard jeff *now they know where to find meeee!* jeff thought and ran across the room Locking the door and running into a tiny room and slamming the door. and then attempting to lock it in frustration and Paranoia-driven anger

Griffin studied the surgeon. He looked like a typical doctor. "Not really. Your removing below my knee on the left side." He was glad it was that one. He had always had something of a limp on that side. This surgery would get ride of that limp. Of course the surgery would also slow him down. He would have to learn to use crutches and eventually a prothesis. But he wasnt going to think about that right now.

Liz shook her head and headed to Jeff's room. She probably wouldn't be able to calm him down but she had to try. It was her natural to help anyone she could in anyway she could. She hurried down to his room. "Jeff it's Liz. I'll help hide you from them."

Jeff heard Liz *Thats not Liz thats one of them!* "whats the secret Passcode!" Jeff yelled out too Liz sounding angry. Jeff constantly Changed the passcode every week and kept it a secret. Liz was the only person Jeff told his password too. the passcode was They're coming

"Actually We won't be removing your leg unless i deem it completely needed. Honestly ampuating your leg is the nueclear option." He sat and realized. "have you been told the rules for being here?"

Jeff walked out of the room and went to the door. then jeff opened a tiny hole in the door revealing only his eyes. "whats the secret passcode"

"The password this week" Liz whisper dramatically "is They're coming." One of the things she liked about Jeff was that things were never boring around him. Still she felt bad that the poor boy didnt feel like he could trust anyone. He trusted her but only a little. She walked a very thin line with him. She was careful not to give him any reason to stop trusting her.

Griffin frowned. Damn he had been so hopeful about the removal idea. With the limp he would never be fast enough to escape his father. But with crutches or an prothesis he could learn to be fast enough. "Rules? What rules?" He wasnt found of rules. They always got him into trouble. They couldn't kick him out could they?
