I've studied wookiepedia but not read any of the books. I have the Halo books to read first and that universe is my favourite science fiction universe so far.

Strangely enough I'd probably have the time to post but I don't have the time to make the character sheet, or the *umf* which usually comes when I see a RP and just... make a character.

Ok, I'm going to write the intro post now, but I just realized that I didn't technically approve anyone but Drac, so:

Me: I would have a picture, but have you ever tried to find a picture of a male twil'ek? There aren't that many, and none of them looked right. Guess I'd better approve myself, though.
Draconis: Both approved. The father figure thing will make it more interesting.
Yog: There's no history in your CS.
Knighthawk: Love the idea. Approved.
Diamond: No history yet, either.
Shiver: Approved. I've never seen a Tuskan Jedi. It should be interesting.

I was going to join until i saw a "tusken jedi" which isnt really plausible.. The only "Tusken" jedi there was was Darth Krayt and he wasn't even really a Tusken.

I didn't state he was a true Tusken; he's a human, just like Darth Krayt. I never actually knew about Darth Krayt up until you mentioned him, but now I realize that my character's background is quite similar to Krayt's. Also, my character isn't a jedi (along with the rest of the characters, actually), just a force-sensitive who was pushed towards jedi training. There's no guarantee he'll succeed in his endeavor. Although, now that I think about it, I'm not sure why a true Tusken/Ghorfa wouldn't be able to become a jedi. They seem sentient enough. It's probably due to the fact they're very hostile and reclusive, so even if there were force-sensitive among them, no jedi would be able or want to recruit them.

Tusken are technophobes, the lightsaber would be a sin to them, but perhaps a jedi katana would be more likely.

While I certainly don't deny Tuskens despise technology, I'd say that their admiration for combat prowess overrules the culture's aversion to technology. Since lightsabers, unlike blasters and other weapons, rely upon physical strength, form, and dexterity, it is likely that they would accept this weapon because their culture puts a high value on these traits. In fact, several Tusken tribes united under the warlord Sharad Hett, a fallen jedi who wielded a lightsaber, so it's not impossible they wouldn't shun the weapon. It is also important to remember that there are various tribes of Tusken Raiders who undoubtedly differ in culture and beliefs, but haven't been documented because of their xenophobic nature, so some deviation from what we know is possible.

I'll probably post Saturday, I still have to write a paper for school that'll occupy my time until then. On a side note, I recall seeing a couple of people who posted in the interest check, but haven't made it to the OOC. Should we contact them, or are we well off as it is?
