A letter was sent out to the supernatural community. The letter read:
[i]Many of us have witnessed the humans playing games. We have come up with versions of them for ourselves. Murder Mysteries are a new trend that many supernaturals have expressed an interest in trying. So our benefactor was kind enough to donate an abandoned estate for just this purpose. He promises there are many surprise and secrets in the estate itself making it the perfect place for a supernatural murder mystery. Please join us for dinner before we descend into to the world of mystery and murder. There will be a prize for the person how can determine who committed the murder, why they murdered the person, and how the crime was committed.

Your friend
the butler
p.s. I didnt do it!

Mocha wasn't sure what to make of the letter at first, but it sounded like an interesting idea for a game. As long as there weren't actually people being murdered, of course. That would be kind of dark.
She giggled at the post script message at the end of the letter. How funny! Perhaps this would be fun.

Eventually, the long-eared girl would find herself staring up at the mansion mentioned in the letter, both curious and excited to see what the message was all about. Who knew? Maybe she would like the game after all.

Okori stared at the last part of the letter, and began to laugh. This should be fun, as long as there is no real murder's of course, but then again, That would make this game a lot more interesting. Okori jumped up in excitement feeling all jittery inside. He grab his Case and headed out to the Mansion, wondering who else would end up going to the Supernatural Mystery Dinner.

Okori stood in the front doors of the Mansion. It wasn't easy since it was in the forest, but his enhanced senses helped him find his way. He looked to his left finding a Peculiar Girl standing in front of the Doors. He walked up to her while distinguishing his Presence unconsciously. "Hello Miss, my name is Okori. Have you been invited to this Mystery Dinner as well?" Okori asked as his tail wagged back and forth.

Mocha looked over her shoulder as she heard a voice she didn't recognize. "Oh, hello! Did you also receive the letter? I was pretty surprised by it, to be honest." She turned to face him fully, giving a smile. "My name's Mocha, it's nice to meet you..." She trailed off as she noticed the tail behind him. That was...oh dear. "Um...are there others coming? Do you know?" She tried to keep a straight face and keep from letting any trace of fear show, but inside, she couldn't help panicking. Foxes were predators, after all, so this was definitely not an ideal situation so far. She needed to make sure to have an escape route just in case...

Zack approached the mansion cautiously. He didn't know what to expect. So it made sense to be wary. He was two people at the door waiting to enter. One of them was a boy fox shift or spirit. He had no idea what the girl was. They seemd to be introducing themselves to one another. " I received an invitation to this unique game. I am very excited to pay. I enjoy human games."

Jade held the letter in her fingers delicately, eyes scanning each word so carefully that it took her a solid three minutes to read the thing. Her ever shifting eyes sparkled with delight, a game she herself had asked for ages before. "Finally, a game of wit instead of strength. A chance to remind the others that we exist." Methodically, the young woman walked around her small place, packing various articles of clothing and reading materials into her baggage. She remembered to call the library where she worked to leave them a message that she wouldn't be attending work for a few days before walking out the door and locking it behind her.
~~

The mansion before her had a spooky sort of vibe, a shiver of excitement running down her spine. As she approached the front door she spotted a small group of people speaking to each other, most likely introducing themselves. "Ehem." A naturally overlooked creature, Jade knew that if she were to be noticed she would have to speak up a little. "Excuse me, I received a letter... Have I come to the right place?" Jade's voice was fairly steady, polite as if she already knew the answer and was just asking out of formality.

The door to the mansion opened to reveal a butler. He was the classic butler. He stood straight and looked down his nose at the group. "Come in dinner is nearly ready." He told them in a stuffy British accent. He stepped aside and opened the door so that he could enter. The entry way was brightly light. As they enter the group would feel like they were stepping back in time as the décor was that of centuries ago. "Please leave your baggage here. The maids will take it to the rooms you have been assigned."

Jade nodded politely in acknowledgement as she passed the butler, placing her bag down in the entryway as instructed. She glanced around at her surroundings captivated by the antique beauty of the house, eyes scanning every visible surface as if she could see through to their very cores. This place is even better than I imagined she thought to herself, inspecting and cataloging each detail of the room in her head. "Do you know when this house was built? It's as if it were created with this very purpose in mind." Her eyes shone with excitement, some being the game, most having turned into curiosity about the authenticity of the structure itself.

"I assure dear lady that this house is older than you are." The butler answered snootily. "It was built centuries ago. I believe it dates back to the 14th century but I would have to look at the records to get an exact date for you." He told her. It was clear from his attitude that he found them all lacking. "This mansion has been in the Master's family since it was built. He thought it would be good for it to have people within it's walls once again."

Mocha sighed and straightened the poofy skirt of her dress, relieved that someone else had shown up. Hopefully she wouldn't be eaten after all. The other boy seemed a bit less predatory, at least. She really couldn't tell about the girl, though. Well, maybe she couldn't be sure about any of them after all. Before she could think too much about it, her attention was quickly drawn to the butler who had opened the door. Was he really the one who had written the letter. "Um, thank you, sir." She replied to his instructions as she placed her pink bag down where she was told to. He was a bit intimidating as well, actually. Or maybe she was just still shaken from her previous worries. I really ought to calm down already...

Okori noticed that the girl was beginning to get scared of him. He layed down on the floor. "Geez, thats the expression everyone gets of me. I'm not that kind of Youkai, I'm a good person." Okori says looking at the sky.

Okori looked at the butler. "Well don't mind If I do." Okori walked into the mansion. Wow, this brings back memories of the old days. Back when Kings and Queens still ruled the world. Okori touched the wall as he began to reminisce his past. He shoved off the memories as he put his Bagage down where the Butler Instructed to. He stretched back. "So when is Dinner?"

Zack followed the others into the mansion. He looked around. He had never seen a place like this. He and brought anything with him so he tucked his hands into his back pockets. It was amazing that he would be allowed to stay here or a few days. He wondered what the prize would be.

"Please follow me." the butler answered in his snooty British accent. "Dinner will be served in half an hour."

Jade glanced back at the fox-child, who was most likely much older than he came across to be. That was a common trait among supernatural beings, their youthful appearance misleading to both their age as well as their nature. "You shouldn't let something so trivial get you down. Things could be worse, right? I mean, no one could notice you at all." She shrugged with a half-smile, able to speak from her own experiences from the past 150 years. "Mmm, food sounds amazing, I cannot wait." Jade beamed with delight, barely able to contain herself. Figuring it would be rude to bombard everyone with her questions about themselves and the area, Jade bit her lower lip and held her tongue, her curiosity insatiable by design. There probably wouldn't be a moment throughout the entire game where she didn't want to tear the place apart and discover its secrets.

The girl's ears lowered and she looked at the floor as she heard the comments behind her. "I...I just don't know lately...I'm sorry, I can't control it." She whispered as she turned to follow the butler. Despite how awkward the night had already started out, she was curious about what would be served for dinner. And how would the game start? How would they find their clues?

Zack followed the others. He had a feeling that he was the youngest here. He had so many questions for them. He hoped to get a chance to ask some of them. The table was huge. It sat at least 20 people. How many were coming to this game he wondered. He took a seat towards one end of the table. He hoped some would sit near him.

Okori noticed the young boy as he sat down at the far edge of the table. He walked over to him, with his ears perched high. He sat down next to the young soul. He looked at him curiously. Well, He's incredibly more younger than me. Well I forgot when I was born. It was long, long ago. "Hello there, My name is Okori, how are you?" Okori asked.

"Well knowing Human Games, the the game is about to begin. There might be a Murder soon. At least thats what I think." Okori said as he let out a sigh. Knowing almost everything makes absolutely everything borish.. Okori looked around the room for signs of anything suspisious, like flickering lights, a bad placed Armor case. Anything.

Mocha sat down at the table a ways away from the boys. She was pretty impressed by the building so far; it had a very different feel compared to anywhere else she had been here on Earth. She couldn't place what time period the decorations could have come from, but it truly was curious.
