I at first thought it was in some hamlet. The capital is a bit close, and an earthquake and fissure would do more damage. If it isn't in the capital or nearby, it would take some time for news to reach him. He might get the news by horse-riding express messenger before night falls again.

Here is my first attempt. It seems out of the ordinary in comparison to the others, but it said it could be any form... And I'd like to try this style out. Also... Apologies, I did this on mobile. 3am and... Sorta resting? Casseena - The Spider Queen. Keeper. Casseena had been around for a long time, experimenting with humans and ways of creating a brood. Ways that would not require her to lose focus on her surroundings and leaving herself wide open. Not exactly creating broods, more like... Producing. For a time it seemed that she required human bodies to mold her home... And feed her home. Her appearance is that of a massive drider. Not that of an impossible size, but in comparison to nearly that of a trebuchet. Any Constructs she had in mind to create were to only be driders and only the size of a horse and carriage. It was due to her size that she was afraid of doing much more than reproducing, using live hosts as breeding spawns of her spiderettes, but because they were so small, the hosts, she would barely get more than a max of two. Which is why she settled down, literally, and stopped grabbing random travelers. Because of her size, she couldn't fit into many places. Due to this, she burrowed into an underground crypt, and stayed with her heart in one place, protected by earth and stone, she'd make her spiderettes do the work of capturing humans, forcing them to work, and devouring them when they became to weak or sick. Now having the ability to reproduce them with her own body. (Strength, slight speed, breeding appendage similar to that of the Alien Queen from Alien/Alien vs Predator) Spiderette - Massive spiders in comparison to your ordinary household pest, as big as dogs and nastier than a rattlesnake combined with a rottweiler. Nasty bites, paralyzing poison, strong like ants, and hardened webbing make them perfect human-snatchers. But because they seem to like only eating what they were made to catch, having too many would starve them since a lot of what they capture need to be used as slaves. Still as squishable as a giant rat, but the exoskeleton defends against most substances. Dungeon - The Hive, an underground crypt which has one or two rooms from the main crypt, which aren't large enough to serve anything beneficial except a place to drop skeletons and the other to hold the heart. The place is covered and filled with hardened webbing (strong like plastic wrap only a lot harder, denser, and not easily cut. Not resistant to fire), and stickier than superglue (dissolves by spiderette saliva). The dungeon is currently trying an intimidating scheme, rather than a ready to defend stance.

@Cale Tucker, a Spider Queen, good idea. I don't think we've had one of those that before, but it fits in perfectly. That paragraph will need streamlining before going into the Compendium, but I'm happy with your Keeper. You may as well get started. Your first post(s) would involve setting up your Dungeon and creating your Spiderettes (the rules are that it takes 3 posts to invent your first minion).

Is my post correct? Just to let you know, in order for this all to happen, Casseena is going to have to first make the blueprint for the Spiderettes, then upgrade herself with the ability to produce them. How long should the upgrade take? Also, in times of desperation, I was hoping she could pull and release herself from the appendage that allows her to produce them. So if that were to ever happen, instead of upgrading again, she just reconstructs the appendage for 1 post. (The appendage will only be able to produce Spiderettes. I have larger things in mind which will need hatcheries)

There really isn't a rule for how long building a new room or upgrading your Keeper should take. 1 or 2 posts is fine.

Hey, just wanted to let you know, i have ideas to incorporate any and all spiders to fit into the building style of the dungeon which I think will be fun. While I won't have forges, smith's, or armory's, an example will be a mutation or adaptation room, where any spider can go to 'upgrade' themselves. Such as a spiderette could go and turn their paralysis into poison, or use a host body as an eggsack for dozens and dozens of ordinary smaller spiders (which is horrifying to humans and they could swarm other creatures and do possibly gorey things, such as poison and bite the whole body or infest the creature/individual and kill them from the inside). I even have ideas for trojan horses(boomers, anyone?). And like a mine, I can make poison pits, which will allow adaptaion nests to upgrade spiders with poison. Being non-humanoid doesn't mean we're out of the building scheme, I tend to think I have tons of (bad and horrible and full of WHY in the oh my god spiders) ideas

Generally they would take just one post to do, unless they are particularly large, in which case the project may span over several of your posts (but you probably won't be doing anything like that this soon). The reason we have the rule for the minions and the Constructs is so that you can't simply churn out dozens of different and increasingly powerful minions, and so any end-game type minions or Constructs actually cost you to create. On the other hand, your Dungeon is limited by your ability to build and defend it, and your Avatar is limited directly by your power. In respect to your Dungeon plans, those are good too. It's nice to see you putting some consideration into it. Of course, with swarms of spiders, your main concern will be food, not infrastructure, but I'm sure you've got that covered.

I was just about to go and write out the introduction that I had planned for the Ashlanders, when I remembered that Trapezoid was on hiatus. Unfortunate since my introduction was going to involve some interaction with the ice witches. Is somebody else currently taking control of that nation?
