Finished that, but now is the trouble of figuring out my response. I have an idea, but I fear it would have to fail simply because it would make it too easy.
And here I thought Coco was the worst character(she's to friendly for her own good) at making wise decisions. Free, I now bestow that title upon Alaira.
Hmm... Tempted to make a post now. That was a bad move Alaira. They were already ready to cut the rope. Pulling them down did nothing to stop them. If anything, one pull was all they needed. One pull is exactly what you gave them.
I.... I don't know what to post if that's the case. I thought maybe I could have Meirin splash some water near the bridge so it doesn't catch on fire, but if what you say is true, that we just lost the bridge, and the caravan. I don't even know if I can do anything about that. Is there a way to save the caravan?
Ssarak might be able to save some people. He could grab one fine, though that leaves two more. He might try grabbing onto another on the way down, but he couldn't fly with two. However, he might be able to hit the bottom less-hard. I think one of those people might be the carriage driver.
Hmm... If you can prevent the bridge from falling, the caravan could get across since the bandits aren't in the way. Figure out how to do that and you're solid. If you can't, you fail the mission. You lose the wagon, you have no caravan to escort.
I probably need a bit more information. What kind of bridge is this exactly? It's a rope bridge, obviously, but is there any other mode of support? How high up is it?
Ssarak might also try a bit of last second psychomancy on the bandits, something to get them to take their hands off the ropes before Alaira struck.
It's just a large rope bridge, big enough for a wagon to cross. It's built over a river about twenty feet below. It's old but managed to stay up, up till now. The bridge is going to be destroyed. Whether or not you guys get across it before than, well...
Sorry if you guys had anything planned. I just wanted to somehow save the caravan before it was too late. I'll edit if I need to, but that's how Meirin is going to save the bridge.
You may need to edit, as I don't think what she tried would work. In their current situation, the fire is going to burn one side of the bridge, but that is going to take a few minutes. On the other side, the bandits are going to cut the other. I don't think she would be able to get over there in time.
Edit: I also had an idea of how to stop them from cutting the rope in the first place, but I am awaiting a response from Lucius.
