Making a neutral guy. I want to make a villain later, but I don't have that good of an idea right now.
Name: Richard Prosper
Real Name: Prospero
Age: 45
Occupation (If Any): Investor
Appearance - Thirteen Years Ago (Age 32):Appearance - Today (Age 45):Personality Traits: Withdrawn and cold, he doesn’t display much sympathy. He has little tolerance for failure and is always looking out for his own interests whenever dealing with somebody else. Prospero is patient man, and fond of thinking in the long term. Despite his callousness, he cares deeply about his daughter, and always shows a softer side when around her. His greatest concern in life is protecting her, and raising her well.
Skills: Prospero has studied magic for over a decade, and has become quite skilled at this point in time. He also has political experience from his time before coming to earth, though his negotiation and manipulation skills are out of practice due to his isolation.
Biography (Before Earth): Prospero was born into a noble family, and reigned as duke for several years. His life was peaceful, he had a wife he loved and an infant daughter, he looked forward to a long, happy future. His brother, Antonio, grew jealous of his power and deposed him. To avoid directly killing his brother, Antonio sent Prospero and his daughter through a portal, into the other world, hoping they would die there. Prospero was able to smuggle a few supplies and several books on magic with him on his way to earth, arriving a few years before the royal children.
Biography (Life On Earth): Prospero and his daughter ended up on a barren island. His magical abilities allowed them to survive, and he even managed to make contact with the outside world. Through a few magic assisted tricks he has left the island briefly to acquire some modern amenities, but he still lives on the island, he lacks the documentation to legally reside anywhere else, and has to limit himself to brief visits. He has raised his daughter with little contact from others, doing his best despite the difficulty. Recently, he has learned about what happened in the other realm in his absence, which is only causing him to worry. People know about him now, and sooner or later someone will try to drag him into this conflict. He will do what is best for his daughter, he doesn’t care about anything else.
Other: I could leave his daughter as an NPC (in which case she’d be Miranda, as in the play), or if anyone has a character that they think would be a good fit I’m all ears, mashing stories together is fun. I also left out the other inhabitants (Caliban and Ariel (no relation to the princess) of the island to avoid complicating the story too much.
