Edit: If the IC events allow for it you might get a chance to get stronger, for now you're in the same boat as all of the other spectating characters.

A PM thread is fine by me. I prefer post-by-post stuff personally, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss stuff about it beforehand and figure out how we want things to go in a general sense at the least.

You and the other spectators will get your chances, you're only spectators in this first arc and probably only until whatever big Twist the GM has planned kicks in. Also as a bit of a reminder a lot of people are already weaker than a lot of other people without even factoring in power gain from the tournament since lopsided power stuff is just part of the RP that all of us are dealing with. That said you'll get your chance as will everyone else presumably and gains from the tournament will probably be less significant than the training a lot of characters seem to be planning afterwards/between arcs. So really it's nothing to worry about.

In response to the killing spree stuff not sure why you wanna go do stuff completely unrelated to the RP with your character.

Which is why the prospect of sitting on my ass doing jack all while waiting for pairs of players to post back and forth sounds like the worst thing ever. Seriously, collab posts should just be made mandatory so we get through this thing and us "spectators" don't die of boredom while waiting for something to happen. Just my thoughts on the matter.

We've already been over this about four times. Some of us would probably take longer in a collab post and come out with worse quality anyways.

In fact that would solve both problems. Get the arc started with the audience members noticing something off and work that angle with them while the tourny people are still in the tourny and join later or whatever when things hit the fan.

Blame the GM for setting things up this way if you like but I don't have anything to do with it. He probably just shouldn't have let in more people than there were spots in the tournament to prevent this sort of thing or not cut it down from 32 fighters so there would be more room, but I can't just change what I'm good at and bad at to accommodate a bad situation and neither can anyone else. I would if I could but I can't.

Or, you know, he could give us something to do? Not everyone needs to be gathered at the tournament, it's not impossible to have something happening elsewhere to give the rest of us something to do. Just saying.

This would be fine by me if it solves everyone's problems. It's not like I like the situation either and hopefully it'll be better once this is over with, but forcing collabs wouldn't fix things at least on my end.

did you even read his CS? His goal is to wipe out evil, he wants to get stronger to try and meet his goal. I don't see your complaint since DBZ is mostly centered around characters getting stronger to overcome challenges.

Maybe, but it's not necessarily the center of this as an RP even though fighting is definitely part of it. Actually contributing to a decent story or stories should be at least part of the central deal. So a character randomly taking off to go do a solo 'kill all the evilz everywhere' story by himself could potentially be pointless and counterproductive.
