In my desire to demonstrate the endgame of the Aeon Brood, without actually killing everyone in the RP, I may over the next few posts be drawing up a look into the distant past, in a galaxy far away.I made sure to plant the seeds to escape any confrontation of the Aeon Brood without losing everyone. Read my posts carefully; I have left all that you need to know to realize the Draconians can sorta destroy you.
Hmmm SgtEasy, here's some friendly advice: 5k kilometers is a short distance. In fact, some ships may be able to hit you from that range. Here's an example: 54.6 million kilometers is the length between Earth and Mars. With the technology in this roleplay, we can get between those two planets in a couple hours (if we're thinking more realistically, and not just "They leave Mars orbit and arrive in Earth's later"). Coming within 5000 kilometers of another fleet is like dropping a tank within 500 meters of another tank. When it comes to exactliness and all that, keep it vague. Say you're "Just out of extreme combat range" or "A great distance away" or somesuch. And also, don't ever name how many ships your fleet has. I kept trying to have specific numbers of ships, but it seemed that each time I did so, everyone else took the number and multiplied it anywhere from 10 to 100. Not to criticize, not to offend, just some advice. Thanks!

I really have trouble reading between the lines of self-flagellation in your posts but I guess I'll take your word for it.
I can't really see it either but whatever you say.I made sure to plant the seeds to escape any confrontation of the Aeon Brood without losing everyone. flagellation means to take pleasure from whipping- so wtf? Also, the aeon absorb energy and matter, no? See my post's explanation on Drac ftlOkay, vortexes or something? Still not seeing it. Though for the record, the Brood converts matter and energy to their preferred form of mana, which they then consume. A slight but noteworthy difference.
It's two-way When they create the 'portal' to hyperspace, it appears in front of them, but unlike most people's, it isn't just facing them. When they set coordinates, it's like making a bridge from the spot right in front of them, to wherever they need to go, provided there aren't any trees or rocks (planets and the like) in the way. But they can only get on from that side- if someone were on the exact opposite side, and were facing the Draconian ship when it made the portal, then it would work similarly to this, blue being Draconian, red being whoever. Arrows mean which way you enter their portal; [o] means where you come out. )> or <( are the ships. [o] . . . . )> . . . . -> | <- . . . . <( . . . . [o]Also, the aeon absorb energy and matter, no? Wilson you are tredding a fine line...And hey, this is a way to keep the Draconians alive against the Aeon Brood. The only way I see that could kill them is a massive antimatter explosion. Anything made of matter that gets too close is turned into energy and consumed; anything made of energy that gets too close is turned into energy and consumed. The Draconians don't have any weapons to combat them. This is like having a crane to pick up the deathmech and dump it far enough away from my people to run away.

Or to escape? Another way to solve the Aeon problem is by letting me handle it. I promise everything will turn out fine.
No. If I plot a certain course, then I can open it and they'll just appear too far behind me to do any damage. or, alternatively, right into a minefield, but they'd probably just suck it all upAnd hey, this is a way to keep the Draconians alive against the Aeon Brood. I promise everything will turn out fine.I'm not saying that letting the race of Saurons ruled by UltraSauron(or Morgoth I guess) handle the horrible eldritch abominations is a bad idea, but it may be a veeeeeeeery bad idea. And your understanding of how energy interacts with energy is a bit pear-shaped Wilson. Plus I have no clue how your FTL is particularly different or a trump card or whatever.

Aw, come on, it wouldn't be that bad.For who?
Umm....everyone, yeah that's it. It wouldn't be bad for everyone. Trust me.Aw, come on, it wouldn't be that bad.For who?
