**History:**
Born to the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze and second jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails, Kushina Uzumaki, Naruto seemed almost destined to be born to greatness due to being the son of two of the most renowned and powerful shinobi of the age. However, unforeseen circumstances resulted in tragedy as during Naruto's birth an unknown shinobi of dark intent infiltrated the hidden location of the birth, killed most of those present and managed to unleash the Nine-Tailed Fox and used him to assault Konohagakure, resulting in the deaths of much of Konoha's forces; Among the dead were Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, who gave their lives to stop the rampage of the tailed beast by sealing it inside of their new born son Naruto.
Deciding to grant Naruto his mothers name (Uzumaki) in order to protect Naruto from his fathers enemies who would love the chance to snuff out the last embers of his legacy, the retired third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen came back into office with the intention of carrying out the last request of his deceased heir to the position of having his son declared a hero to the village. While good intentioned, this plan backfired as most of the population of Konoha had lost love ones to the Nine Tailed Fox and found its container to be a symbol of their grief and repressed rage of their tragedy rather then one of hope as was intended. Under the pretense of trying to give Naruto a somewhat normal life, Sarutobi passed a decree of secrecy that strictly prohibited the adults from divulging Naruto's status as a jinchūriki. This had limited effect as the village children tended to follow their parents example without understanding the reasons why.
Raised as yet another orphan left after the attack of the Nine Tailed Fox, Naruto was often shunned by his peers and those around him. While finding stores with workers willing to accept his money (And often at inflated prices) was hard, most of the time Naruto was just ignored if not banned from the store outright. The social isolation caused Naruto to crave acknowledgement to the point that he didn't really care if the attention was positive or negative just as long as he got it. This resulted in situations ranging from standing up to bullies attacking someone else and drawing their ire to him instead to outright pranking those he deemed deserved it.
While few, some people have acknowledged Naruto over the years such as the owner of Ramen Ichiraku, Teuchi and his daughter Ayame alongside teacher Iruka Umino. These few people have become a surrogate family to Naruto and he would happily die to protect them if need be.
Joining the academy at a younger age then most, Naruto failed the graduation test three times. Somewhat disheartened by his failure, Naruto would jump at the offer made by one of his instructors Mizuki to have an alternative method of passing. Told that if he could steal the Scroll of Seals from the Hokage Residence and learn one of the techniques written in it, then he would be allowed to graduate, Naruto did so before spending hours struggling to figure out how to perform the B ranked Shadow Clone jutsu, completely unaware of the fact that Konoha had mobilized its shinobi to try and track him down.
Discovered by Iruka and later attacked by Mizuki himself, Naruto discovered the truth about his status as the host of the Nine Tailed Fox when Mizuki used it to try and convince Naruto that Iruka hated him. When Iruka protected Naruto at great personal cost however, Naruto figured out the truth and proceeded to unleash his newly learned Shadow Clone Jutsu to beat the absolute shit out of Mizuki. Iruka would shortly afterwards allow Naruto to finally graduate from the academy and become a Genin.
Behind the scenes and unknown to Naruto himself, several different plots to take his life in revenge for the Nine Tailed Fox's actions came about over the years. Due to the vigilance of the ANBU and the operatives of ROOT none of these plots were ever successful, those behind them often disappearing or suffering accidents for their troubles.

Originating from the Senju clan, what distinguished the Uzumaki from their predecessors was that members of this clan were very knowledgeable in the art of fūinjutsu, and were both respected, and feared worldwide because of their prodigious skill. Though noted to be crude in their methods, this however, eventually led to the destruction of Uzushiogakure and the rest of the Land of Whirlpools during the era of Shinobi World Wars, as other nations had begun to see the village as too great a threat to go unchecked. With the destruction of their homeland, the remaining survivors of Uzushiogakure fled their homeland and went into hiding, scattered all around the world.
The Senju and Uzumaki clans are distant blood relatives whom they retained strong connections with. For this reason Konoha-nin uniforms have the symbol of Uzushiogakure emblazoned on its shoulders. Hashirama's wife would also come from this clan, further strengthening their ties.
**Kekkei Genkai:**
The members of the Uzumaki clan possessed an incredibly strong life force which can both endure and survive most grievous injuries plus incredible longevity. The clan members are also blessed with great recuperative powers, able to quickly recover from extreme exhaustion and mend most injuries in short periods of time. Their longevity can be seen in part through Mito, who lived from long before the founding of Konoha, to well into the term of the Third Hokage's reign. The clan's life force was the reason Kushina survived the extraction of her tailed beast, despite additionally just giving birth only moments before, though she was left severely weakened.

**Name:** Shadow Clone Technique
**Rank:**B
**Type:**Supplementary/Ninjutsu
**Effect:**Similar to the basic Clone Technique, this technique creates copies of the user. However, these clones are corporeal instead of illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after hit by a strong enough force. The clones can also disperse on their own or be dispelled by the user of the technique. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the original with Sharingan, Byakugan or Rinnegan. Shadow clones also seem to be able to think for themselves and feel the original's pain to some extent.
Because of the manner in which the clones are created, the user must divide their chakra among the clones, potentially using up all their chakra fairly quickly if the user is low on chakra, or makes too many clones. This is especially problematic when the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique is used; whereas the normal version will only create a few clones, the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique can create hundreds.
(While there is more to the technique, Naruto hasn't worked out about the whole 'Sharing memory' thing yet or has had it pointed out to him.)

**Effect:** This technique is essentially a massive version of the Shadow Clone Technique. Instead of a few clones, it creates a few hundred clones (or a number of equal grandeur). This is considered a kinjutsu, because it can potentially be dangerous to the person performing it, seeing as how all of the clones are given an equal amount of chakra directly from the user. Naruto learned the technique from the scroll of forbidden seals.
Few people are able to use this technique effectively, due to the large amount of chakra it consumes. However, this weakness is not an issue to Naruto, due to his massive chakra reserves. Having such reserves allows him to create hundreds of clones while maintaining a decent supply of chakra in each one.

**Effect:**A variant of the Transformation Technique, the Sexy Technique transforms the user into a naked woman usually surrounded by clouds of mist at private areas, or in a bikini, typically with seductive posture. Naruto uses this technique to distract or win over men with sex appeal, with all successful attempts causing an exaggerated nosebleed by the victim, while Konohamaru uses it to impress Naruto. Typically, the more perverted the victim, the greater their reaction will be.

Naruto winced a little as the treacherous dance of the night before played across his memory. It still seemed like some strange dream and the only reason he knew it wasn't was before he was currently wearing the headband Iruka-sensei had given him at the end of it all. But Mizuki's claims had cut deep even if they were nothing more then the lies of a traitorous prick. He had barely touched his bowl of breakfast ramen, pushing the bowl across the table so he could have a moment to himself so he could think a few things over.
Being the host to a giant demon that had caused countless deaths and destruction in its wake was not something you learned about yourself every day.

How many of people were like Mizuki? Whenever he walked through the village how many of the villagers glanced his way and could only see the Nine Tailed Fox that had caused the deaths of family and friends walking down the street? How many of them were just [i]waiting[/i] for the chance to stick a knife in his back and 'avenge' their dead loved ones? How many of them wore a fake smile like Mizuki did? Could Old Man Teuchi and Ayame merely be...
The table shuddered and some of the broth of his bowl of ramen spilled (A horrible sin under any other circumstances) as Naruto brought his fist down on the table to bring that horrible line of thought to a sudden and violent close. That was something that was far, far to horrible to even consider. Besides, their actions had long ago proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were the closest thing to family that he had.... besides the Old Man of course.
Letting out a sigh, Naruto looked over towards his breakfast and dragged it back over. No matter what, he had people who cared about him and at the end of the day their opinions of him were the only ones that mattered. It was a weight off his shoulders to know that everyone wasn't out to get him. Just as he was about to properly start breakfast, Naruto paused once more as a different thought entered his mind.
There wouldn't really be any harm in paying a little more attention to the villagers who shun him, if only to get an idea of who was hungry for his blood and who was merely indifferent. After all, how many times had the Fourth Hokage survived a trap or ambush because he had been constantly vigu...vigul... constantly alert? His mind made up, Naruto finally started eating his until then neglected breakfast ramen.
And felt completely justifiable frustration when he noticed that it had gotten cold and he would have to reheat it.
_CHARACTER DIRECTION (3-5 Paragraphs)_
Naruto for me has always been someone filled with potential. In fact there are a great many fan theories out there that suggest that Naruto's seemingly poor education might be more related to his earlier teachers sabotaging the basics of his education rather then him just being dense. Of course, Canon wise he always has to have his stupid moments in order to make him a source of comedy... the butt monkey of team seven and all that.
Mizuki's manipulation and betrayal will shake Naruto's world view a bit and in some ways be a bit of an awakening; What you don't know can hurt you and even worse, can hurt those you care about. The Mizuki incident might have ended fairly well for Naruto what with gaining access to a really awesome jutsu and graduation to being a Genin, but it came at the price of causing Iruka unneeded harm; In fact, had Naruto gone to Iruka and asked him to confirm the secret test that Mizuki had told him about in the first place the deception would have been uncovered and the traitor reveled with only a little bit of leg work.
The Naruto joining the Genin team will thus be much more observant and interested of the world around him and more so the people around him. Keeping tabs of who is friendly towards him, who is merely indifferent or ignores him and those who are actively out to hurt him and those he cares about and why. Of course he will still be the same kind, loving and loyal person he had always been, but a bit less naive and a little more weary and alert.
