The mobile version is tolerable to amazing honestly, it improved a hundred percent before the guildfal, not that it was bad back then. There are some difficulty here and there on mobile, but it's probably just my crappy N Lumia 520. One complaint, it is hard to press the rating buttons on mobile, no hover capability :/ nevermind, found a way around it.

On mobile, I have to select the reply button twice. The first time causes the ratings to appear, and the second time actually selects the reply button.
I'm on mobile right now, and this isn't happening for me. If I tap the quote button the quote is made after a second, simultaneous to the ratings popping up.

I love it too, but this is still an issue for me.

Strange. I had to hit it twice to reply to you.

In my opinion, I like that the rating buttons pop up when you hover your mouse over a post, I feel it makes the threads look less cluttered, unlike on Iwaku where the ratings are permanently visible. Perhaps they could be greyed a little but still pop up so atleast they're not too noticeable. However, I don't mind how it is at the moment personally o3o
It is purely the pop-up itself that is the irritating thing - making them grayed out but keeping the pop-up would not solve anything for me. The grayed out suggestion was there just because another person expressed that the ratings buttons would look too bright and garish against the predominantly graytone theme of the Guild. But yeah. The pop-up is really very grating, especially when I am trying to look for something and excessively scrolling through threads (and might mouseover plenty of posts). It is the general annoyance of things popping up in my peripheral vision coupled with maybe FPS instincts or something else kicking in, or whatever it is that makes flies landing on your screen bothersome, but in any case, *twitch*. Edit@cellphones: I find that the tap-registering on my cell-phone is generally too poor for single/double-tap distinction to be a good mechanic - more often than not I am multiple-tapping just to make sure it registers it as a tap, not sliding action or just holding. I've replied and browsed the site from cell a couple of times, but I don't think I've ever seen the ratings buttons on cell (which to me might be a positive thing rather than otherwise, but eh, if I wanted them I'd not really be getting them).

I usually have to double click the reply button when I post from my phone. It can be a pain clicking the little link to the last post without mega zooming, but it's not a huge deal. Other than that, the site works brilliantly on mobile.

I second this. Also, I think being able to set custom tags would be a very good addition. ... or not. Now that I think about it, it would cause a WHOLE LOT of clutter.

Thanks, not sure what the issue is for the double-click. I'll see what I can do to enlarge the "go to latest post" link. I read that mobile browsers will give more weight to a button than a link if your finger hits both of them at once, so that's the least that I can do.

I'll add Fandom and some other tags suggested. Maybe tonight if I get a chance. Custom tags would be cool but hard to justify the effort at the moment.

I'll add an [hr] (horizontal rule) tag that will turn into a line.

Good call. As for the rest of the tags, you can generally combine them to give a sense of where the setting is. It'd be nice to do custom tags (like 'cyberpunk') but a lot of them are niche roles. 'Steampunk' might well be popular enough to justify a tag, however.

Just have Cyber, Steam and Punk tags, then people can mix and match. /me eyeshifts.

Well, if you do 'modern' and 'sci fi,' you get an approximation of cyberpunk, but also cyberpunk is pretty niche. (Regrettably.) Steampunk, by contrast, is a much bigger and more common genre. Don't get me wrong, I have never gotten into steampunk, and I love cyberpunk, but them's the breaks. Eventually, we'll get a search function for interest checks and it'll be easier. Until then, I think "Fandom" is a great tag to add, and maybe 'Steampunk' based on popularity.

The upside of creating tags that drill down into niches is that it increases the resolution of the tagging system. The ideal really is that someone should be able to filter roleplays/checks by obscure tags, and people should be able to pick the most accurate tags that describe their roleplay. Everyone wins. The downside is that the matches for each tag become more and more sparse. You either lump your roleplay into a more generic tag to increase its hit-rate (visibility) in filtered searches, or your give your roleplay a more granular (thus more descriptive, more fitting) tag. I think I have a solution for this: tag hierarchies. A tag can belong to zero or more other tags. Filtering on a parent tag will include all of its tag children. For example, Cyberpunk and Space tags belong to the Sci-Fi tag. If a roleplay is tagged with Cyberpunk and someone filters roleplays by Sci-Fi, then that roleplay will show up. And, of course, someone can filter just on Cyberpunk as they please. The key will be for the UI to express this and to keep it simple (no more than a few layers of nesting, ideally just one). For example, when filtering roleplays, clicking the Sci-Fi tag will highlight Cyberpunk, Space, and other Sci-Fi children so you understand the results you're getting. Interest checks are more likely to choose generic tags, and roleplays are more likely to choose niche tags.

@Mahz Hey Mahz, a account that got banned quoted me, thus sending off a notification. However the post was hidden and every time I try to access it gives me a white background with the text forbidden. The notification is stuck there, anyway of clearing it?

I know which one it is, I'll handle it. Next time, however, it's best to post a topic in "Need Help?"

Small Bug report @Mahz It seems if you don't close the color box before saving and resuming other duties, the color field still hangs around.
It seems you can also have multiple instances of this box overlay, not just on the last edited post.
