Now you see, what you should do is read the manga for Railgun. Daihaseisai arc Science Side is really good.

Trust me when I say this- you'll LOVE Railgun's Daihaseisai arc. It takes place right after Magic Side Daihaseisai (aka those Croce de Pietro shenanigans) and develops Misaki a bit more as a character alongside Misaka. You also get an explanation as to why Touma got roped into dancing with Misaka at the very end of the festival :D

I did like Index's Daihaseisai Festival Arc, and I've heard good things about Railgun's. ... I once played Mikoto a while back, actually. It was pretty fun, especially having her perform her patented vending machine kick. I was also planning on using Index as part of a subplot I worked out with the GM. ^^;

Well, Kamachi's stuff is usually rated highly like that. I'm still waiting for Dream Ranker arc to update with more chapters. Oh, and A Certain Scientific Accelerator. That too. And... I still feel like Index is almost always one of the most useless characters, save people like Himegami. I hear that the LN pulled off the Deep Blood arc a LOT better than the anime did, so I should get around to reading that once I get a chance. (And yes, I did just skip right to where the anime ended when picking up the LNs.)

Ah... Actually, I'll keep quiet about that. Them's spoilers for the second most recent LN arc. You know, with Othinus and all? Yeah. She's a walking dictionary, but it feels like she doesn't develop as a character and mainly exists as comic relief 9 times out of 10.

Ohh, I see. And yeah, unfortunately for Index the focus largely leaves her. ^^; I still find her fun, though.

Yeah. She regains relevance back in the Magic God Othinus arc, but you know. It's probably not going to be animated within the next few years anyhow, so you might as well read it yourself. On the note of Raildex, I'm surprised Kamachi actually finds a way to integrate what are supposedly anime-only story arcs into the LN. Like... Therestina is officially acknowledged as a Kihara by the invading Kiharas during the Baggage City arc (particularly by Enshuu, who, as a Kihara... Well... You know the deal.) Furthermore, all the crap Harumi went through to save her students is canon, which is pretty dang great. (On the note of things to come: You remember Hamazura from the end of Index II? He becomes a very important character in the near future.)

I loved the second half of Railgun S1, and it makes me happy every time I hear that it is very much officially canon. I really want to read more Toaruverse stuff. Well, and watch. ... Waah this makes me want to do more things I probably shouldn't.

Watching will probably not come anytime soon, sadly. I still have my fingers crossed for an Index III or an OVA, but 'tis life if it doesn't get announced. Well... You could always go hunting on the internet for the LNs. Baka-Tsuki has NT stuff still up, at least.

Well it is copying in my eyes, but they usually create a slightly different version of the weapon or a very limited version.
