You know, it occurred to me that it doesn't matter where Guts goes, anything popping out of the Warp should appear on someone's radar, and they'll send a team to investigate.

Well that's a bit nonsensical, isn't it? If something as dangerously hostile as the Warp exists, you'd imagine there would be an Emergency Response Team on stand-by specifically for this kind of stuff.

I'm aware, but I'd rather play it by what players want to respond rather then just picking the characters myself. As I've said, some people want some downtime after the action scenes, others still want more action.

I have some ideas on this that I can explain upon once I get home in just over an hour. What if the UMMA had a general freelancer network that they could send notices for that kind of thing out for. Anyone in the are could deal with it and possibly get paid. The multiverse is too big to keep an eye on in any organized way but such an ad-hoc system would be perfect. Sort of like a bunch of volunteer fire/police/medical departments.

Yeah. So the idea would be that if a character is stuck in a situation that they can't deal with on their own a bored character might find out about it (or a related situation to look into) and set out to help them and maybe get paid. And it wouldn't necessarily be UMMA issues only. Anyone, provided they're not breaking any laws, should be able to get help through this system. So I guess that the system would be divided into just general 'Help Wanted' ads and the 'Need It Right This Second' UMMA alerts.

Shockwave, whose primary personality trait across the various Transformer universes is having a complete and total lack of emotion and being ruled by cold, hard logic. Hell you even defined his personality as such, makes sense since it's his main feature beyond the physical aspects of "purple, gun arm, boxy faceless head". So, you know, I just feel like this is acting out of character. Especially since knocking some stuff around hardly seems enough to upset Shockwave. It took the Dinobots turning up to ruin a plantary scale experiment that might've saved the entirety of Cybertron on purpose, and over a petty grudge of "you showed us up", to make him feel upset in IDW, and it passed rather quickly, for example.
