[IC] Code Lyoko: XANA's Return

[Gambit]

Bella woke up to the sound of a commotion outside. She dazedly got up and glanced out the window and saw a bunch of police officers wandering around the lawn. What in the world? she thought. Something big must have happened. She hurriedly got dressed and grabbed her backpack before heading downstairs. Maybe the other students knew what was going on. She had just turned the corner off of the stairs when she slammed into some person. "Oh! Sorry," she said to the tall man, noticing his strange heavy trench coat and hat. He looked like a detective maybe, she thought. "Do you know what is going on here?" For a fleeting second she wondered if it had anything to do with Lyoko. Nah, it couldn't, she thought, shrugging off her worry. No one knows about it but us.

[Teknonick]

<Bella>:
"No, it's alright miss. No harm no foul." the detective-looking man said as he straightened out his jacket while looking down at it. "You don't know? Well, I'm sure your'll be glad to hear one of your missing friends is back. Now that he has returned, we'll be on top of this case to make sure we bring back the rest of your friends." the man said with what you could only assume was a smile as he walked past you with a patting hand on your shoulder. The man then continued past you and up the stairs and disappeared.

[Josive]
Josive came down the steps, almost bumping into a tall man wearing a trench coat. The tall man walked past him and kept going, as Josive continued down the steps. "Oh, hey Bella." he said, straightening out his backpack over his shoulders as he walked up. "Think this has to do with... well... you know? I think it does. No such thing as coincidence." he said as he stopped to stand next to Bella. "And another reason to shut it down before it's too late."

Flippy was going down the stairs passing a trench coat man "creep alert." he said to himself. When Flippy got outside he saw both Josive and Bella talking "hey have you guys seen that creepy trench coat guy walking around?" Flippy asked looking around seeing tons of police officers "also why are there so many cops here?"

[Gambit]

Missing friend? Bella wondered, confused. One of the Lyoko kids? She glanced up and saw Josive walking down the stairs. "I think it has to be related," she replied, ignoring the bit about shutting down the computer. He still didn't have any idea what they had gone through, even after they brought him into Lyoko. If he knew, Bella was sure he wouldn't be suggesting that.

Hearing another voice, Bella looked back to see Flippy heading towards them. "That man in the trench coat", she said quietly so that no one else would hear them. "He said that they found one of 'our missing friends', and that they are looking for the rest of them. I haven't heard of anyone else going missing, so he must have meant the Lyoko team. I don't know how, but they must have saved him!" She looked around at all the chaos outside. "He must be on the school grounds somewhere now, or else all these officers wouldn't still be here."

[Teknonick]

[Josive]
"Oh, a very good point Bella." Josive said back. "If they saved one of them... then that means they might know about Lyoko, which means we might get in trouble if we continue. Either that, or they were never on Lyoko to begin with." he argued. He left out the part about Aeilta still being on Lyoko, as he thought that wouldn't help him in the argument. "But yeah, the 'friend' they found might be here somewhere. I'm not going off to look for him, but I'll let you guys know if I happen to run into him. What do I say, by the way? 'Hey, kid that went missing. We found one of your friends on Lyoko... do you happen to know anything about that?'" Josive said over his shoulder as he continued on outside, waving over his shoulder. Man... these kids are getting crazy. We're way in over our heads, I'm not going to tie myself to them and get pulled in the fire when it comes.

[Gambit]

"Ugh," Bella muttered, frustrated again. "Oh well, guess we are on our own again." She glanced down at her watch. "I'm going to grab some breakfast before classes. I'll let you know if I find anything out," she said to Flippy. She wandered over to the cafeteria. This is some strange turn of events, she thought.

Flippy felt like the odd man out because both Josive and Bella knew what to do before class, but Flippy was just hoping he could pass enough time just by talking to them. Which did not work out in his favor so with a sigh Flippy just started to make his way to his class or at least head in the general direction of the class. "Jeez if only I knew what this missing kid looked like then I'd be able to spot him in an instant." Flippy said to himself.

[Teknonick]

<Kadic Academy>:
A loud static noise played in the air, annoying enough to make anyone flinch. "Bonjour étudiants Kadic." speakers announced all throughout the school grounds. "Les cours sont annulés pour le reste de la journée, tandis que la police locale enquêtent. Si l'on vous demande des questions, vous êtes pour répondre à leurs questions. Les cours reprendront normalement demain." it continued, before the speakers shut off. One outside the cafeteria sparked and broke as it turned off.

[Gambit]

Bella froze when she heard the speakers sound. Classes cancelled? Questioning? she wondered. This was getting really weird. Why were all the police here anyways? Shouldn't they be taking the kid back to his family? She shook her head. This school was much crazier than she had ever expected. She decided to continue on her way to the cafeteria. Surely someone there would have an idea of what was going on exactly. Or maybe she would run into Josive or Flippy or anyone else she knew.

[Jollan]

Garsin was in the park, sitting at a bench, when he heard the announcement. "Odd," he said out loud, "Looks like I was right about the police being here. I wonder what is going on," he finished in thought. " I guess I should head back to my room. Don't want to cause be int he way." He wondered about whoever that William kid was on the way back. It was odd, so far he had been the only person to really say anything to him. Garsin guessed it wasn't unusual being the first night here, but it already seemed that everyone else, even the new people on his floor, were at least on an acquaintance basis. He was just about back to the dorm building when his stomach growled. He sighed, maybe he should have had a larger breakfast, but it just didn't seem that his body was content with the small breakfast he ate this morning. He turned back around and headed toward the cafeteria again.

Once there he got there, he got a full sized meal with pancakes and sausage and an apple. He noticed on his way up to get his food that the place he sat last time was taken up by some other people, so he had to try to find a new spot. With the cancellation of the day's schoolwork, it seemed like the place was packed, and it took him a moment to find a clear area of table for him to actually sit down.

<Garsin>:
Once you finally found a spot to sit down and eat, another kid in stands up from a table nearby, and walks over too yours. "Hey there. You one of the new kids in school?" he asked you, sitting down at your table and placing his own tray down. He looked over at your stick, and leaned back after having seen it. "You know, if you need any help, I'd be glad to show you around, or anything." he smiled from the other side of the table. "I'm Mike, by the way." he said, leaning over the table and offering his hand to shake.

Then, the chattering of the cafeteria ended as another kid entered the room. From the abrupt silence, you could safely assume it was that 'William' kid from yesterday. After a few moments, the talking continued again, but in a different tone than before. William looked at each table as he walked by, and saw strange stares from everyone, so he continued until he reached yours. Mike turned around, almost as dumbfounded as the other students, but he pulled himself together enough to speak. "Hey William, long time no see. Mind if I ask where you've been?" Mike asked, but William shrugged. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." he said with a small sigh. Mike shrugged, and patted the bench he sat on. "Come on, join us. No point in standing while you eat." Mike offered. William shrugged, and sat down.

[Josive]
Josive entered the cafeteria after having heard the announcement. He grabbed a tray full of food, and tried to find a place to sit. He noticed most of the kids were looking over at one particular table, with three kids sitting there. One of which... was the kid Josive recognized from the news. Oh, that must be the one missing kid they found. Josive thought. He saw a table not too far away, also empty, and decided to sit down at it. He didn't want to say hello quiet yet, but he also wanted to listen in.

[Jollan]

Garsin heard a person come up next to him and introduce himself, and asked if he was new. He was taken back a bit, but only slightly. "I am, and thank you for your offer, my name is Garsin." He then heard the room go silent for a moment as someone else walked into the cafeteria. He figured it may be the same kid from earlier.

"My name is Garsin," he started repeating himself for William, "I apologize for not introducing myself the other day. I was-,"he paused thinking of the right word in French. It wasn't his first language so even though he knew it well enough to converse, he would hit a snag ever so often. "Uh, 'caught off guard' I guess is the phrase."

[NightmareInd]

Sam just walked out of his room. He heard about the message. No classes? Nice! He thought. He would probably spent his afternoon gaming again, but before that, he needed breakfast. He walked into the cafetaria, and saw it was pretty crowded inside. He then saw a familiar face. He got his food, and walked towards the person. "Hey, Garsin. How you doing?" Sam sat next to Garsin. He then saw the other guys he was sitting with at the table, recognising one of them. "Hey, you are the guy I bumped into yesterday. Sorry about that, again. I'm Sam by the way."

[Gambit]

Bella walked into the cafeteria, which was so loud with everyone chatting after hearing that classes were cancelled that she could barely hear. She grabbed a plate of food from the counter and glanced around for a place to sit. Bella noticed Josive over at one table. She wasn't sure if he was still in a weird mood or not, but there was no one else that she recognized so she decided to just join him rather than eating alone. "Hey Josive," she said, setting down her breakfast at the table. "I'm guessing you heard the announcement? Wonder what that questioning is about."

Bella happened to glance over at the table next to theirs and noticed the kid she had accidentally run into yesterday, although technically she supposed that never actually happened due to the weird time jump. But next to him was a kid who looked oddly familiar. Wait, he was in one of the photos on the computer wasn't he? she thought. "Hey!" She whispered to Josive. "That's the missing kid right?"

[Josive]
Josive watched as Bella entered the cafeteria and started looking around for a table, before turning back his attention to William and the other's sitting with him. He then heard Bella sit down, and ask about the announcement. "Uh, yeah. Not sure about the questioning. No idea what they would get out of it, it'd be better if they just talked too that kid there." Josive said, looking back over at the kid with William as Bella glanced over too. "Yeah tat's the missing kid. One of them anyway. Why isn't he on Lyoko like Aelita was? Think he got out on his own?" Josive asked Bella, turning back too her as he spoke.

{William}
"Yeah... uh... no problem." William smiled at Garsin. He then looked down at his tray and started eating his own food, just as Sam entered the room and sat down next too them. "Oh, bumping into me? That's alright. I was in a little bit of a hurry anyway, I should have been looking here I was going." he said, waving his fork as he spoke. "For both of you anyway." he said, looking at both Garsin and Sam. William continued eating his food, slowly allowing his head to drift off too the other tables. Wait, her!? he thought to himself, nearly choking on his own food as he saw a girl sitting at another table. He coughed a few times, pounding on his chest as he did so. "Sorry to bolt like this... but... I've got to go. They probably still have more questions for me, you know, after being gone for so long." William said, quickly picking up his tray and standing up.

[Jollan]

"Hey, Sam," Garsin answered Sam. He then listened as William and Sam spoke, but then William got up and left for something. Garsin took another bite of his food. "Hm.....busy guy."

[Gambit]

"Maybe, unless he was never trapped there in the first place," Bella said, frowning slightly. "This whole thing doesn't make much sense though. Why would he just be here? Around all these other people?" She went back to eating her breakfast, trying to think everything through, but couldn't come up with anything that would make things clearer. They needed to find out more information. She wondered if there was a way she could talk to the kid.

Suddenly Bella heard a bunch of coughing. She glanced back up to see the kid hurrying onto his feet. Bella noticed that his eyes were on her before he turned and rushed away. What in the world is that about?

Lino stared up at the gates of the big school standing in front of him. There were a few police cars parked outside, which made him nervous, but for now the officers seemed to be too busy to care about him. Certainly no one would care enough to figure out where he was now. The officers hadn't even been able to get an ID of him before he managed to get away back in the States. So this is it then, Lino thought. This is where Bella was sent. At least it doesn't look too shabby.

He wanted to see her, just to assure himself that she was doing okay even though he wasn't ready to face her quite yet. And then after that he would have to find someplace safe to stay for a while. With all the officers around though, it was probably not a good idea to try to go in through the front gates if security procedures were the same as in the US. Instead Lino walked down the sidewalk passed the gate, then turned into the woods surrounding the side of the campus. After making sure that there was no one else around, he quickly clambered up the side of the wall and stumbled onto his feet on the other side of it.

Now inside the campus, he wandered down the path among the various buildings. He wasn't sure what any of them were though, since he couldn't read the signs posted by the doors. Lino noted that there were a lot of kids just standing around and talking though. Odd, they should be in class now by this time right? It's Tuesday if I remember correctly, should be a normal school day. Maybe it had something to do with all of the police officers hanging around. That was surely not normal. He caught many snippets of conversations, but nothing he could understand. He had taken Spanish when he was in school, not French. Getting no where, Lino sighed. I guess I should just hang around here for now until I figure something out, he thought, taking a seat on a nearby bench, out of the way enough that hopefully no officers would notice him, but close enough to the main area that he would be able to see most of what was going on.

Garsin openly asked after a moment of awkward silence, "Sooo... Does anybody know anything of why the police are at the campus today?

Flippy about just fell to the floor when he heard classes were canceled for the day. He was so thankful he ad a free day to do more snooping and more lyoko, and he also remembered that his friends went to get food so he probably should go there.

On his way Flippy saw someone sitting on a bench in the main area of the school looking sort of lost. He decided to try and help the person, and make his way over to he bench. "Hello are you lost?" Flippy asked.
