[IC] Code Lyoko: XANA's Return

Garsin took a moment to make sure he understood what the complaint was. "Wait a minute.. 'little, tiny robots'. That doesn't like anything to get worked up about. Especially if they can't do anything but roll around." Garsin stood up from his table and started making way to a door, but then he heard his cane tap on the tables in the way. He shook his head in frustration and decided to find another way outside that the kids haven't blocked yet.

[Gambit]

Bella Bella hurried back onto her feet, bewildered. She looked around at the trees surrounding her, the big white tower, a couple weird-looking animals, and the two other kids. She shook her head, still slightly dazed from the fall. But I was in the factory a second ago. How in the world did I get here? She thought. Bella's eyes grew wide as she realized what had happened. The only way she could be here was if this really was a computer world. Virtualization really was possible. Bella rubbed her head, pausing as she felt the fabric of the hat she was now wearing. She had on an entirely new outfit, she realized. A white cap and what looked like a painter's outfit. A paintbrush and pallet hung on her belt. Bella didn't have any time to wonder why, because suddenly the animals realized that they had company. She took a step back as they hurried over, then froze when she realized that they were on a little floating island. There was no where to run. She faced the monsters and grabbed the paintbrush and pallet from her belt. Although it couldn't possibly make sense to use paint on these lazer-firing monsters, something was urging her to try. Bella dipped the brush into the red paint and swung her brush in the air, ready to try and fight.

Flippy was so caught off guard by what just happened he needed a couple seconds to first remember what he was going to do. It only took a few seconds For Flippy to remember what was happening because he was being shot at by the monsters Aelita described earlier which meant he and the other two kids were in lyoko. While trying not get hit by the lasers Flippy saw he was now dressed in with a black shirt and pants with a practice sword, but when he pulled it out the sword had an electric glow to it. Flippy started to block the lasers with his sword while trying to talk to Bella "Can you believe we actually are in a virtual world?" he asked her.

Garsin, walking without his cane and running his hand along the wall, was walking in a fast pace to find one of the outside doors other kids haven't blocked yet. It took him a minute before he found one, but when he did he shoved it open. He took out his cane and tapped it in front of him as he made his way toward the sound of Jim struggling, though he could tell it was a little ways off from where he was in the cafeteria.

"Barely, " Bella replied to Flippy as she ducked under a laser aimed at her head. "This can't be possible, can it? But it is the only explanation for us to be here." She blocked a laser with her pallet. "Oh, look out!" She shouted when the crab monsters fired a quick series of laser blasts at them. She ducked behind a tree. This isn't good, she thought. They're getting closer, we'll have to fight soon...

Arndt Schulz As Arndt flipped through his mysterious letter, a sudden thumping came at the door. "I'll get it, don't worry," he said to Mike getting up from his bed. Arndt only took a single step towards the door before it's wood splintered and tiny mechanized robots came flowing through. Arndt leapt up on his bed again, and looked desperately for something to ward them off with. He snatched his luggage, and began swinging it in the direction of the miniature bots with a flailed and panicked demeanor. "Mike!? Is this s sort of robotics club prank or something!? 'Cause it isn't funny!" Arndt backed himself up towards the wardrobe, and looked at the window leading outside. "Mike, open the window!" Arndt demanded, his arms swinging back and forth rapidly at the crawly bots. "Hey! Help! Anyone out there!" Arndt shouted towards the doorway, hoping for that big brawn man to come in and flatten the creatures.

Flippy grunted as now he tried twice as hard to block the lasers before getting an idea, and with that idea he ran towards mini crabs while blocking the lasers. When he got close enough he swung his sword hitting the XANA symbol on them which caused them to explode. "Hit the symbol I think it's their weak spot." Flippy told the others.

Jared was wide eyed ad he viewed his surroundings. He couldn't help but feel as if he didn't belong. I was just at the factory, these pods are amazingly advanced. Staring at his own equipment he felt pretty confident about his load out, he had armor, a spear he recognized as a long Qiang, and two spare Zhibeidao. Jared only recognized the weapons from his dad constantly shoving ancient Chinese history down his throat ever since he was born. Examining himself further he couldn't help but feel like a weirdo, his hat may have had some purpose in ancient times but he just felt it was ridiculous, and the very sight of the armored skirt made him wince slightly. At least I'm wearing pants underneath. Jared was caught off guard as a laser shot barely missed his head. Time to get my game on. Jared thought as he brought his Qiang to bear. Spinning his weapon rapidly in a circle he was able to block multiple shots intended for him. Seeing Flippy in his own oriental outfit rushing up and bringing down one of the enemies Jared took his advice. "Hit the symbol, gotcha." Jared said as he began to advance into a sprint. His melee weapon offered him more range than the others, that was obvious, it was also obvious that this had no factor into a ranged weapon fight. Going to have to do this fast! Jared thought as he jumped mid sprint and stabbed the crab in it's symbol, Jared caught in the moment lifted up his weapon with the crab still stuck on the other end, spun it rapidly, and smashed it onto the ground. "Oh yes!" Jared shouted after his first victory.

<Lyoko Warriors>: Bella's first instinct to use the red paint on her palette, turned out to be a useful color. As she dipped the brush in the paint, her outfit changed to reflect the paint's power, fire. The paintbrush was swooshed in the air, another instinct leading to a specific pattern in mind. A slow spiral, starting from a small circle and spreading outwards bigger and bigger. As the brush went through the air, a wall of fire appeared near the monsters, blocking some of the fire for a few short moments, before fading away. The fire lasted long enough to melt the small mini-crab, giving it time to flip itself over and rejoin the fight. At least the firewall blocked the lasers, and gave everyone a few moments to think... maybe it will be useful on the tower after the battle? Flippy's first idea was to go into defensive mode, which appeared to work very well with his weapon. Sparks went flying as lasers came nearby, destroying them as they got close, and Flippy would have missed otherwise. While Jared was down, Flippy managed to get in the way and defend him while Jared eventually stood up after recollecting himself. Bella quickly dove behind a tree, and now Flippy and Jared decided to charge the monsters now that the monsters were dumb enough to close the gap between them. Flippy's first attack was to stab one of the smaller one's, sending sparks off, and exploding the monster. The slice itself didn't appear to kill it, as he only exploded after the sparks went off. After the explosion, the sparks went out, and Flippy was now left with a wooden sword. Even returning to it's sheath wouldn't help very much. Luckily Jared come in over him, stabbing another one of the monsters and smashing it. Sadly, the block-monster, and the one mini-crab that was frozen before, were still where they stood, holding enough of a distance between themselves and the heros. They shot at the two warriors, now standing in the open. The mini-crab shot rapid shots, one of which hit Flippy's leg, sending stinging pain through his leg. The pain soon subsided, but it was still enough to make one cringe the first time. The block-like creature was now charging up a single shot... ready to blast it at the two defenseless warriors. <Arndt>: Mike managed to make his way to the window, opening it and motioning for you to follow him. More mini-robots came down the hallway, and he knew it. Mike decided he was going to try and go out the window, but one of them managed to reach him an bump him. Mike lost his grip, falling, before managing to get a small hand on the window, holding himself for a few more seconds before he might possibly fall. "Arndt! Help! I've fallen out the window... and... I can't get up!" he said, his fingers slowly slipping.... <Garsin>: As you wandered out on your own, you heard the sound of wheels rolling around you in every direction. None were too close, except in the direction you were heading. One... was actually heading straight for you! One rammed itself into your leg, sending you down too the ground. "Yaaaahhhhhhh!" a younger kid's voices screamed, as he leaped over you and smashed the tiny robot that had attacked you. "Hiroki, another one's going for Jim!" another voice whined. The kid who had jumped over you went back the way he came, smashing another robot that was attacking the downed Jim Morales. "Hi. Need a help up?" the voice who warned your savior asked, not having to bend down due to his size to offer you a hand. "My name's Johnny. You're one of the new kids, right?" he asked. More smashing was heard in the distance as your original savior was defending the Jim.

Garsin reached up and got back on his feet. He nodded in Johnny's general direction. "I'm Garsin, thank you." he replied. He was silent a moment while he picked up his cane that he just accidentally stepped on. "They are, uh... little bigger than I was told," he started, "but still not very big," he ended with a slight smirk. He then heard the other kid helping out Jim and asked, "Will he be fine?"

Sam When I came back from classes, I noticed my roommate wasn't around. It didn't matter though, as the only thing I was thinking about, was going behind my laptop. I was gaming, when I suddenly heard a noice from outside. I put off my headset, opened the window and looked outside. I saw a few rooms next to mine that a guy was asking for help. When I looked around some more, I noticed several small robots around the building. Am I dreaming about one of my games again? I thought, than saw another guy from the same window as before falling out of it. Damn, I have to help him quickly! I turned around, when I heard knocking on the door. After seeing what happened around the place, I knew something was off, so when I rushed to the door, I smashed it open, knocking any robots behind it away. I had to think fast. I grabbed the blankets of the beds and ran into the hallway. It was swarmed with robots. Before they got time to react, I threw one of the blankets on a group. I walked over the blanket towards the room the guys I saw earlier were, and halfway used the other blanket. There was no door in the room for some reason, probably the robots, so it was easy to get in. I was in the room, but between me and the guys were still some robots. "Hey guys, I'm coming to help you, but I can use some help over here myself." I said, not knowing how to overcome this next obstacle.

Jared barely noticed Flippy take a hit out of the corner of his eye. Turning back around he placed himself between Flippy, the crab enemies, and began to spin his spear to defend himself against the oncoming laser shots, but as he ran over to his defense he took notice of Flippy's weapon. He briefly wondered what had happened, but deciding that now was not the time Jared refocused himself. As the crabs fired Jared began to spin his spear, and at the same time he kept a close eye on the timing in between the shots. Noticing a short gap of only a few seconds Jared focused on that timing and made sure to act accordingly, the gap wasn't long, maybe a couple seconds at best. Well now I get to find out what it feels like to get shot. As soon as he blocked the latest blasts he was forced to stop spinning his spear as unsheathing the blade from his side would take too much room, deciding that it could become a hassle in the next few seconds he opted to unsheathe both blades, dropping his spear, and leaving his blade nearby for Flippy Jared brought his remaining weapon up to bear. He wasn't sure if he was in a proper position to deflect an attack. The blade obviously had a shorter reach, but felt much faster in his hands. This might take some getting used to. Jared thought to himself as he eyed the blocky crab as it was obviously about to unleash a stronger attack.

Bella Bella's eyes grew wide when the firewall sprang from the end of her brush. The girl looked down at the pallet, amazed at what the tools could do. This virtual world played by new rules, she thought. But Bella was thrilled only for a second as she realized that even though Jared and Flippy had defeated two of the monsters, she had just unfrozen the one mini-crab with her fire. "Shoot," she muttered as the monsters resumed their attack. The big one seemed angry now, charging up for some sort of attack. Bella dipped her brush in the yellow paint and sprung out from her hiding place, waving her brush in the air.

Flippy felt the pain from being shot which was sudden and caused him to drop for a couple seconds since he wasn't use to a feeling like that. He picked up the blade Jared left him and got into a ready stance, but first backed up a bit just to see what went wrong with his own blade. It just seemed to have turned back into a regular practice sword which puzzled Flippy a lot. He looked up from his sword and saw that Bella was doing something else with her paint, and of course since last time something cool happened wanted to know what yellow paint does. But the main thing that caught his eye was the block creature charging up some attack.

[Josive] "Aelita, careful, there are three more red dots that just appeared on the map." Josive announced after having finished the virtualization process. He eyed the tree dots move around, until the four original dots move around and reform their ranks, sending out two of their numbers to the new dots. Seven cards then appeared on screen, three of them showing the mini-crabs, and another one the block creature. "Oh, they're called Kankrelats... the small ones. And the new one that joined them is a Blok." Josive explained what he saw. The other three cards were those of his friends, wearing new outfits! "Woh, they must've figured it out down there then! Wow, that's cool. It actually looks like them!" Josive cheered, eyeing their health and stats. "Ugh, I need to figure out how to communicate with them." Suddenly, two of the new dots rushed the two old one's, destroying them quickly. The other new one then retreated, hiding behind an object. "Those dots on the screen must represent the Kankrelats and our friends. When those two dots charged the others, one of the Kankrelat's lost all it's points, and the other one lost most of it, before losing the rest." Josive said, leaning in closer to the screen. Suddenly, Flippy took a hit, then all hell broke lose.... Josive heard falling above the elevator, like crashing on the top of it. It sounded like the robots... were all dropping themselves to the bottom. "Uh oh, what are they doing in there?" Josive said, taking off his headset and walking over to the elevator doors. He put a hand on the door, trying to feel what was going on. He only heard more crashing coming down, more and more came. <Lyoko Warriors>: Jared managed to block most of the lasers flying at them, but one laser still came through and hit his leg, as well as another one hitting Flippy's arm. That small robot causes so much pain... imagine what would have happened if the two mini-crabs hadn't been defeated before! Bella was the only one uninjured so far, hiding farther away from the action. But after she stood out from behind the tree, dipping her brush in the yellow paint, her clothing changed once again. It looked that of a desert, including dust flying around her feet, dissipating and reappearing. No specific pattern came to mind, as she simply stroked the brush through the air in random patterns. Dust gathered up from the ground in front of the blocky monster, just as it appeared it's charge as complete. The monster attempted to aim... but sadly still managed to get through the field. His target of Flippy was missed though, as a laser-beam shot through the dust and straight into Jared's chest, sending him backwards slowly until his armor exploded, sending him backwards and crashing down closer to Bella. He was nearly done... but not quiet. Another straight laser managed to hit Bella, sending her closer backwards towards the ledge she was near, with the possibility of falling down. Suddenly, as everything appeared to be over, with Jared and Bella down, and Flippy with a wooden sword... the monsters started advancing slowly. A dark shadow zigzagged on the ground behind them, appearing to be heading straight for the monsters, before unfolding a human-figure leaping into the air. The human landed on the block, and took it out, letting the explosion deal the last bit of damage to the small mini-crab. The figure landed, turning back into a shadow before he was recognized by anyone, and swirled away off into the distance it had come from before, leaving the heros alone with a bottom frozen tower. <Garsin>: "Um... they're pretty strong too. They took down Jim quickly. They each have a little arm they used to hold him down during the att-" Johhny talked to you. The other kid came up to you, and grabbed both your Johhny's arms. "Come on, there aren't a lot around right now. Let's hurry and try to drag Jim into the dormitory building!" your original savior's voice called, moving back over to Jim and grabbing one arm, yanking on it fruitlessly with all his strength. Johhny sighed, walking over to the same arm, and yanking just as uselessly as well. "Cccc-ooo-mmmmm-eeee- oooo-nnnn! We need to get him out of here before more of those robots come back!"

Jared let out a groan of pain and clutched his injured areas for a few moments. Clutching his chest he realized his armor was gone, although he was still covered he felt more naked then ever, along with the obvious pain of being shot. Still on the ground struggling Jared noticed a dark cloud looming over. Is this it? What will happen when we die here? Jared winced at this very thought, trying his best to follow the darkened cloud Jared could only make out the explosions of the crabs; his downed position didn't help his view. Managing to bring himself onto his knee he slowly caught his breath, looking around he noticed that Bella had landed dangerously close to an ledge, if she wasn't careful she could fall off. Jared quickly closed the gap between the two and tugged on her arm slightly, only enough to get her attention and nudge her slightly away from the ledge. "Keep your eyes open, something just killed those crabs, if it comes back for us we won't stand a chance. I saw you use some kind of fire attack earlier, do you think you could use it again on the tower?" Jared asked, gesturing towards the ice surrounding the tower.

Garsin heard the two having trouble with Jim and decided to give them a hand. Although it was hard working with the unconscious body, especially as heavy as Jim was, he had Johnny and Hiroki help him get Jim in a pack strap carry over his shoulders. Jim was heavy, but thanks to Garsin's larger size and heavy frame, he was able to pull it off. "Alright," he quickly said between breaths, "guide me."

[Gambit]

Bella cried out as the laser hit knocked her off her feet. She landed with a thump, stunned from the force of the blast. A moment later though she felt a tug on her arm. She managed to get back up onto her feet. "Thanks, okay" Bella said to Jared, shuddering when she saw how close she had been to falling of the edge. If one laser blast could hurt so much, she didn't want to think about what a fall into the abyss would do to her. Bella peered through the dust, looking for the figure that Jared said killed the monsters. She couldn't see anything, but she tried to stay sharp, knowing that whatever it was would have no problems taking them out if it tried since it had no trouble with the monsters. She picked up her brush and pallet that had fallen onto the ground. "I think I can cast it again," she said. Bella walked up to the base of the tower, frozen in ice. She made the strange pattern with her brush, and a flame wall sprung from the tip and rushed towards the tower. After a few more fire blasts the ice shattered into pieces and revealed the stone wall of the tower.

Flippy still hated being shot, but that wasn't his mind set. Actually there were a few more important things on his mind after a was shot a second time causing him to kneel for a little bit. One of them was who was that shadowy figure that saved them, and the other was hoping Bella wouldn't fall over the edge. Thankfully Jared saved her just in time. Flippy got up and walked over to the two of them just as Bella got done with unfreezing the tower. "Umm so what now, like is there an entrance somewhere?" Flippy asked as he leaned against the tower.

<Lyoko Warriors>: "Hey. Is this working? Can you guys hear me?" a voice said from seemingly nowhere. This voice did seem to have some origin... either up in the sky, or in your heads, you couldn't quiet tell. The tower had melted under Bella's ability, revealing the bottom of the tower. It appeared fruitless, however, as there was no entrance to be seen. "If you can hear me, Aelita's coming out now. I'm assuming you guys took care of whatever it was attacking Aelita." the voice repeated. It was obvious who it was now... it was Josive! Aelita slowly exited through the towers walls. As she exited she turned around to face the wall and wonder why it had acted the way it had. She then turned on her heel again to face her saviors, eyeing everyone's armed weapons. "You're Josive's friends... I hope... right?" she said, looking over everyone. She seemed to recognize a few faces... but after having to hide from the monsters, she probably didn't remember much. "Thank you for saving me. Now, does anyone know how to get home? This place is scary...." she then said, folding her arms. <School Yard>: <Garsin>: Johnny guided you along, keeping you out of the way of Hiroki as he bashed in more robots that were scattered around. "Uh oh, there's more coming in from the entrance!" Hiroki yelled. The two helped you faster towards the door, before opening it and leading you in. "Okay, now where do we go?" Johnny asked. "We're in the dorm building. Let's lock Jim in a room and see if we can find someone upstairs.
