They're for contaoning the fragments, which are active and will seek out a new host upon the death or defeat of their current one. It cannot be resisted, will give character power boost, but will turn them insane wity bloodlust. You still control character, they just become crazy and want to kill everything.

I think I'll keep Hana out of the demon action unless her presence becomes necessary. Let everyone else have their fun. Or their terror. Depends on who it is.

I think he's flamboyantly evil. Also 99% sure he's bluffing, but he's certainly good at it.
