Having seen Anna run inside the castle only to return only minutes later, Ven was caught off guard by her question, trying to process a lot of what was happening. "Sorry, but did you say a clarinoodle? I'm not at all fluent in the language of instruments, but I'd be willing to give it a try." He responds, seeming rather willing to try something new. Of course, he decided to make an offer she couldn't refuse. "Hmm...if I take lessons from you, how's about I repay you in a combat lesson or two? I said I'd show you a trick or two, didn't I?" He inquires, flashing her a genuine smile. Ever since he figured out that Anna had retrieved her belongings from her room, he had been itching to locate his own room and get his hands on his beloved claymore. This break from their training had the most perfect timing. To him, it was a bit odd, but he felt as if he could get a lot accomplished.

Anna blushed. "Clarinet. I've always called it a clarinoodle since I was a baby." She raised her eyebrows at Ven's deal. "Sure. My only request is that you just try not to break any bones on me if you can help it. They take a dreadful amount of time to heal." She shook her head and changed the subject. "So, clarinet. Take the grass reed and suck on it for a while. The wide thin end, and do try not to break it." she passed him the thin strip of dried grass. While he tucked it into his mouth she spread her fingers over the keys of the bigger instrument. "It takes a while to get the mouth shape right, so until you get it, leave your fingers off the keys. Once you get the reed wet you'll pin it onto the mouthpiece with the wooden circle, and then you'll just bring it to your mouth and blow." She demonstrated with her own horn, leaving her left hand down at her side and her right hand only on the thumbrest. "Of course, your note will be much lower, because it's a bigger horn. But it's the same concept." She passed the instrument, and the wooden circle, over to Ven.

Bristlebane watched Anna explain while thinking of a common tune they could attempt to play. "Hmmm if Ven is a natural musician then he can play low, I can manage middle notes, and Anna can play high, 3 part harmony right? Ya'll got any tunes you want to play, not to toot my own harmonica but I know a lot of tunes." Bristlebane said confidently with a smile. Apparantly Ven had some sort of combat skill since he had offered combat training. For some reason he couldn't shake the feeling that he was just interupting the two of them, Master had said no lovey dovey but it was obvious they were restraining themselves. He idly wondered what was for dinner, either it would be something amazing like a feast or spartan like bread and water.

this would be when the apprentices notices things floating through the hallways... almost like their being carried by things though nothing is there besides the item... the master would head down to the dining hall and sit there waiting, reading a very strange looking book.

Cas stepped out of her room only to be hit on the head by a floating object. "Ow!" She exclaimed holding her head.

Ryan continued staring at the ceiling without even glancing at the floating objects. It was something he would need to get used to quickly since he was living here.

Bristlebane watched the procession of floating items curiously. "You think the master's doing it?" He whispered to anyone who was listening. It seemed like he was reading a book but unless the stuff in the castle could move on it's own there wasn't much else of an explanation for it. Maybe he would be able to move stuff, all he knew about magic right now was that he could make it into a ball. But hey that was still good for the first day right, and he wasn't dead yet. Seemed as though they were getting food sometime soon as well.

Anna chuckled at Bristlebane's comment. "As do I. The other thing we could try would be a mash-up, you play one song, I play another, and Ven plays a third." She grinned at him, then out of the corner of her eye saw a book of hymns go flying by. She grabbed it from the air and flipped it open. "Would any of these work, Bristlebane?"

"Probably just the wind" Neckrin said jokingly looking up at the floating objects. Neckrin did not know much about magic but judging from the floating objects he was able to see it is probably much harder than it looks. Their spherical balls of magic are probably weak against whatever he thinks the master might be doing. "Anywho its probably almost time to get some food" He said heading to the dining hall avoiding the objects.

Listening to every instruction and observing every motion done by Anna, Ventus happily accepted everything passed to him, doing his best to apply everything he had been taught in a short span of five minutes. Considering he was primarily right-handed, the steps felt a little more natural to him. After a few attempts, the note he was finally able to produce met his expectations, sounding low, yet clear nonetheless.

"Impressive work Ventus" Bristlebane commented, it had taken him a week to be able to sound like more than a squealing pig. "Hmmm" he mused as he peered over the pages in the book. "Oh Danny Boy, that's fun, shepherds and all that" He didn't need the music to read off, he had always memorized music rather than reading, it was far more convenient that way. "Well it looks like foods getting ready we can make our way there." Bristlebane said cheerfully and started playing the slow emotional piece while walking towards the dining hall. The song affected him more than he thought, reminding him of wandering around just traveling where the road took him, through meadows, valleys, and white covered mountains.
