Briefing: Listen closely. I’m sure you’re all aware that people aren’t the only beings with aura. In fact, as Port should have told you by now, every living creature has a soul and therefore aura, all but the Grimm of course. On an island in Tourmaline Bay, southeast of here, is a facility simply called ‘the Shelter’. Various animals exhibiting near-human levels of aura have been collected by volunteers and relocated there in order that they might have a secure, well-equipped place to live. Furthermore, it was thought that much could be learned about aura itself by studying these creatures.

Unfortunately, it seems that all might not be well in the Shelter. We received a call from someone claiming to be a worker there, who told us that the head researcher was up to some kind of illegal activities. Naturally we called back to glean further details, but not only did the worker not answer, but the line was also dead. Since this call was made to us and not the VPD in the first place, we can only assume that something very bad is at work. We’re boating you out there first thing in the morning. Find out what’s going on with the doctors at the Shelter, and if necessary do what you must to ensure that the peace is kept.

Hey Lug I was reading the blurb for our mission and the rewards indicates that as well as receiving credits for this we also get a team pet. Does that mean we have to keep that obnoxious telepathic rat?
